      The was also a Doctor Who craft book, the name of which escapes me, in the 80’s. It had patterns and instructions for making stuffed monsters and K9 as well as crochet patterns.

      In terms of breath of product types, there is no difference between now and the 1980’s; it’s that there is nearly double the amount Who to draw from and the scale of production and product reach is greater.
