October 22nd, 2020 - 10:25amTrust mine to be one of the few where the paintwork on seventh has let me down, however Ace looked excellent. Ordered a replacement. What else can you do?

October 22nd, 2020 - 10:03amJust got mine too and I agree. For such a small figurine they’ve done Ace’s badges extremely well. Very neat and crisp.

August 6th, 2020 - 2:19amHas anyone mentioned a Foamasi as a possible figurine?
Coleman
August 19th, 2020 - 10:01pmYes, you just have Dave.
Great design though the Foamasi,
Would like Harrops to attempt one of those.
Dalek Command
July 21st, 2020 - 3:58pmThis will be a nice addition. Ace was a great companion. Would like to have seen her with the baseball bat that she hit the Dalek with in Remembrance of the Daleks. However I guess this may have caused issues.
Bobby Davros
July 21st, 2020 - 4:26pmYeah your right, that Baseball Bat said he would never give his likeness rights out again after the cheque bounced that he was given by Character for their Ace figure.

July 22nd, 2020 - 8:05pmBobby Davros: That is my favourite comment I’ve ever seen posted here.

August 14th, 2020 - 10:47amFunny, but a bit sarcastic though.

July 16th, 2020 - 2:25pmSet 11? I make this set 9…unless you are including the 2 Big Finish set. I see them as a seperate line, like the Time Lord Series.
booboo
July 16th, 2020 - 2:28pmThe 2 big finish sets are counted as companion sets
Crosby
August 7th, 2020 - 11:07amSo do I as the dalek isn’t a companion don’t know why they called them companion sets 9 & 10 anyway still waiting for set 1 & 9 to comeback into stock I had an email months back saying set 1 was back in when I checked it wouldn’t let me order it says not available but when it eventually did when went to basket it said set 2 Rose & 10
Crosby
October 10th, 2020 - 8:02pmMe too should’ve done the Daleks seperate still don’t count them as companion sets
the ergon
July 9th, 2020 - 6:53pmLets get them preordered, anticipate their arrival, open those boxes and delight in their pristine condition. (as above)

July 8th, 2020 - 8:41pmJust a quick comment for the amazing Mr Neil Corry as it seems he’s still on here reading comments and replying to certain ones.
First off I hope you know just how happy you make people with this collection. It’s the one thing I look forward to every month and I genuinely do hope it can continue for a very long time (or at least for as long as possible.) It’s a phenomenal collection and in my opinion the best figurine collection Eaglemoss/Hero Collector has ever done. The little spin off box-set additions and consoles just add to and embellish this collection perfectly.
Was there always a plan to do two doctor variants in the main collection and one in a companion set or is that something that is worked out as the collection continues? Are there more plans for doctor variants in the main collection of it continues past 200 issues?
Always appreciate hearing from you and your input and I hope you know how much gratitude there is from all of us spoilt, and sometimes demanding collectors, we appreciate your work soooooooooo so much. Keep up the great work Neil and all the best. Very excited for the future.
Crosby
August 7th, 2020 - 11:11amI’m hoping a third varient for first Doctor I would love the Richard Hurndall one from the five Doctor’s and hopefully all the lookalike villains of the Doctor
Khem
July 8th, 2020 - 6:55pmBooboo – Do we have an image of the magazine cover yet?
booboo
July 9th, 2020 - 12:15pmKhem
July 9th, 2020 - 9:11pmThanks mate!
The Werewolf
July 8th, 2020 - 4:43pmSo pleased to see my favourite companion in this range. Can’t wait.
the 14th doctor
July 8th, 2020 - 4:17pmThis looks great! Been a while really since anything 7th doctor related has been released so very happy to see this! (Oh and I know people are going to tell me this so yes I am aware of big finish and I am sure they have done something 7th doctor related in the last few months!!!!) But any way these look great and it’s been a while since I picked up an eaglemoss set do I may get this. My only problem would be with the paint application as I have seen some not great looking 1st doctor sets recently so I am a bit nervous. Oh and I mean that as no disrespect to the talented people behind these sets as I understand how hard it is to do so much detail on such a tiny scale.
Fledershrew
July 8th, 2020 - 9:34amThese figurines look really good. I think the figurine of Ace might be the best companion figurine yet!
I’m hoping for the following to be produced before the series ends
1. Terileptil Android from The Visitation, (without the Grim Reaper disguise).
2. Servo Robot from The Wheel in Space.
3. Damaged Cyberman from the Five Doctors (spear through arm, chest unit on fire)
4. First Doctor popping out from inside a Dalek (from The Space Museum)
5. Caillech from The Stones of Blood
6. More fourth doctor costume variants would be welcome (Zygons, Talons, Ribos operation)
7. Kamelion from The King’s Demons.
8. The Ergon from Arc of Infinity.
Crosby
July 8th, 2020 - 1:03amI loved Sylvester McCoy and ace
Hi
July 8th, 2020 - 12:18amI hope we see a trial of a timelord set that has
Sixth doctor (mindwarp)
Peri (the mysterious planet)
Glitz (the ultimate foe)
Mel (terror of the vervoids)
Crosby
July 8th, 2020 - 12:55amGlitz is not a companion
Bobby Davros
July 8th, 2020 - 1:30amNeither was the two Daleks in the previous companion sets. He’s a recurring character, that’s good enough for me.
Neil
July 8th, 2020 - 11:37amThe Big Finish sets aren’t strictly companion sets.
Gareth Pugh
July 8th, 2020 - 12:56pmI was just watching Dragonfire last night (inspired to re-watch by the upcoming special – not seen it in years) and it struck me, an ‘Allies of the Doctor’ side line – for interesting characters that were not strictly speaking companions – like Glitz, Amelia Rumford (oh go on, that’d be so much fun), Garron and Unstoffe etc – that could be quite interesting
the ergon
July 21st, 2020 - 3:53pmI,d be up for a jago and ltefoot or Paternoster gang set. Also can we get the Malus face in church wall as SE.
The Ergon
July 7th, 2020 - 8:53pmThe cheetah person is going in the middle of these two. And they have the likeness just about spot on.Keep these coming till we have the lot.
The Ergon
July 7th, 2020 - 9:10pmComing soon to a boxset near you… Peri in the red two piece and kamelion howard.
Reece
July 7th, 2020 - 8:42pmNice. Looking forward to a Davison set… surely a Nyssa, Adric and Tegan set is imminent.
Bobby Davros
July 7th, 2020 - 8:52pmPrefer a Doc, Nyssa, Tegan, Turlough. The outfits are better and Adric is a pain.
The Ergon
July 7th, 2020 - 9:04pmHes a pain but with the badge included is as iconic and very much in line with the rest of those bad eighties oufits and costumes.
JL
July 7th, 2020 - 9:36pmIf like with the 13th doctor companions set, the characters costumes weren’t limited to one story I’d like to see:
6, peri and mel from various trial of a time lord parts
5 (coatless with cricket bat), adric, nyssa and tegan from various
5, turlough and kamelion from kings demons
4 (talons) with leela (face of evil)
4 (ark in space) with harry
3, jo (3 doctors) , Benton and Yates from various
3, liz (spearhead) and the brigadier (daemons) from various
Victoria and zoe with a salamander 2nd doctor as it’s technically a variant and a new villain at the same time for a season 5 set
1 in Cape with dodo, ben and polly for a war machines set
1, vicki and Steven
10 (blue suit and coat), Martha and Donna from various as a series 4 set
11 and rory from let’s kill Hitler
12 and Clara from face the raven
12 and nardole from twice upon a time
Neil
July 8th, 2020 - 11:40amJL! The 13th Doctor set is the exception. Otherwise they’re tied to stories. That decision was made right at the start.
JL
July 8th, 2020 - 12:54pmWhoops my bad Neil! If I may ask, are big finish sets with other doctors possible i.e. for the third doctor, the story primord features the 3rd doctor, liz, jo and the brigadier? Is this a possibility?
Neil
July 8th, 2020 - 2:47pmJL: It’s a no. Sorry.
JL
July 8th, 2020 - 4:03pmNo problem, just wondered! Bring on this set!!!
Allonso
July 9th, 2020 - 3:35pmAfter a 6 and Peri, and 5 with Tegan and Nyssa, wouldn’t mind seeing the War Doctor get a companion set with Clara or perhaps Billie as the Moment. Technically not companions but could be a vehicle to get Clara out without repeating 11 or 12 plus another John Hurt figurine. The sculpts of the doctors keep getting better and better!
Crosby
October 10th, 2020 - 8:12pmDon’t forget Furlough might as well put him in so he’s not on his own with the doctor
Ando
July 7th, 2020 - 7:01pmAbsolutely Ace!!! Ace looks amazing! Keep the companions coming!!
Anonymous
July 7th, 2020 - 7:54pmWould love to see a mega ace so the badges can be seen better
Anonymous
July 7th, 2020 - 6:13pmThe doctor and ace… wicked
Doug Who
July 7th, 2020 - 6:02pmWell look at those…fantastic! One of the nicest companion sets so far I think.
I hear rumours that clearance has been sought for a Taran Wood Beast…how brilliant if (a very big if) it’s true as only this collection would even think of doing something like that.
Bobby Davros
July 7th, 2020 - 8:54pmOoh good, I hope Janet Street-Porter releases the likeness rights.
The Ergon
July 7th, 2020 - 8:59pmGot to appreciate and champion the underdog monsters as well. And besides Eaglemoss often improve how they look as opposed to their tv appearances.
Neil
July 8th, 2020 - 11:41amStill no approval on the Taran Wood Beast. Sad times.
Jason Z
July 8th, 2020 - 1:22pmEr… my stepmother (Doreen James) did the costumes for the Androids of Tara and so may have designed the Taran Wood Beast. Mind you she also did City of Death, before anyone criticises her monsters (I’ve seen the original sketch for Scaroth). If she’s being obstructive about the Taran Wood Beast then let me know and I’ll have a word. 🙂
Jordan9364
July 8th, 2020 - 2:45pmOh no I was looking forward to the Taran Wood Beast. Although that would be amazing if it is actually her and she can be persuaded
Bobby Davros
July 8th, 2020 - 5:34pmI presume he means the writer David Fisher. The costume designer would just be an employee of the BBC with no IP rights of their own.
Doug Who
July 8th, 2020 - 8:52pmJason Z what a fantastic connection!
I think the Jagaroth is a great monster in a fantastic story. It would be fascinating to know how different the design drawing was for Scaroth. Some of June Hudson’s early designs for the Nimon are wonderful…
Shame about the Taran Wood Beast…hope it’s still a possibility down the line.
Dave
August 10th, 2020 - 1:19pmEagleMoss produced the Scaroth from City of Death, which was written by David Fisher. So I don’t know if the Fisher estate may be holding back on the Taran Wood Beast?
Jordan9364
July 7th, 2020 - 5:04pmThey look great. But I’ve been waiting for some big announcement pic like they used to do, instead stuff appears to be just leaked slowly from websites etc. This is fine but I like the excitement of seeing a bunch of new stuff at once. Why no announcements on Twitter etc any more?
booboo
July 7th, 2020 - 5:09pmthat stopped ages ago because they wanted to try i different way which seems to have stopped as well, they are now announcing stuff on Hero collector, their own website, but not this for some reason.
personally im just not in favour of this “join the waitlist” thing.
Col
July 7th, 2020 - 5:46pmI agree if its post it up just make it available to pre order scrap waiting lists
Jordan9364
July 7th, 2020 - 6:22pmAgreed. Don’t even use it if I’m honest, I just wait
Alvin Amey
July 7th, 2020 - 4:58pmWow, 7th Doctor and Ace look amazing, eaglemoss have done a fantastic job with Aces’ jacket 😀
Gareth Pugh
July 7th, 2020 - 5:26pmLooks brilliant. Not everyone’s favourite era but it is one of mine! One of the things I like about the Figurine Collection is that is isn’t afraid to show all eras some love in what they cover – I mean whoever thought we’d get such Hartnell deep-cut choices as Koquillion or The Monk? And yet we have, and they’re great. The Ace figure is one of those that will very much live or die by the paint job on the mass produced article in-hand, but to be fair, they’ve sometimes knocked some very tricky paint apps out of the park – the detailing on the Eric Roberts Master’s robes, or the Capaldi console are recents example of that.
The Ergon
July 7th, 2020 - 10:00pmIts those intracices that worry me on items this small and detailed, and what with all those badges?
Neil
July 8th, 2020 - 11:42amErgon – you’re not the only one who’s worrying.
The Ergon
July 8th, 2020 - 4:37pmWorried but not going to lose any sleep Neil.
JL
July 7th, 2020 - 4:48pmNoiiiice!
Sons of Skaro
July 7th, 2020 - 4:46pmYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!
Col
July 7th, 2020 - 4:48pmI couldn’t agree more this is very exciting
Wicked!
July 7th, 2020 - 10:10pmI’m not always too keen on the human figures as the likenesses are difficult to get right but these are excellent. Such a shame I hated this era! Never understood why this pair are so popular -used to cringe with embarrassment watching them at the time
