An unofficial guide to 50 years of time travel

Since Doctor Who began its incredible run on British television in 1963, the Daily Mirror has always been there to cover the adventures of the Time Lord.

You can see more images Here

archive-50comFrom the show’s earliest days, The Doctors: The Archive features stunning unseen images from the Mirror’s archive. For the first time, fans can see the show’s original star William Hartnell having his wig put in place, and see behind the scenes on many of the show’s episodes which have now been lost in time.

The extensive photographic coverage features rare and never-before-seen pictures from not just the show’s early years, but throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, plus exclusive pictures taken during the recording of the revived television series which has become a sensation in the 21st century.

Featuring archive and brand new interviews, this special publication to mark the Time Lord’s birthday is an essential read for all fans of the show. This 84-page glossy magazine, published under our Mirror Collection series, salutes and commemorates 50 years of Doctor Who on the BBC and will be hugely collectable.

This is an excellent guide and well recommended with numerous rare images – and if that wasn’t enough there is a picture of me in it (but i’m telling you where!)

bf-lightNovember 23rd 1963 proves to be a significant day in the lives of all eight Doctors…

It’s the day that Bob Dovie’s life is ripped apart… It’s also a day that sets in motion a catastrophic chain of events which forces the first eight incarnations of the Doctor to fight for their very existence.

As a mysterious, insidious chaos unfolds within the TARDIS, the barriers of time break apart… From suburban England through war-torn alien landscapes and into a deadly, artificial dimension, all these Doctors and their companions must struggle against the power of an unfathomable, alien technology. From the very beginning, it is clear that the Master is somehow involved. By the end, for the Doctors, there may only be darkness.

Although he had no memory of ever being the Doctor, and thought of himself as truly human, when the watch was opened, all the real ‘Doctor’ flooded back into him, turning him once more into the Time Lord he actually was.
