Stocks Arrive – B&M 2022 September Sets and Map

Please note B&M now sell selected items via their website

You can now try to check for stock (Figures sets only so far) at your local branch on the app and the B&M Website however this is already proving to be very unreliable. The app shows different information to the website and some stores showing stock don’t have it on the shelves

Missed Something? You can see every Collectors Series Set in our Interactive List.

Stocks have now arrived and are appearing in some stores.

At present option 3 on published store telephone numbers that allowed you to speak to a member of staff has been removed. You could try the main customer service number, 0330 838 9000 and ask to be put through to your local store or try and find out its direct number.

Shown below are the product codes and bar codes for reference.

We strongly advise you make whatever checks you can yourself to check store availability before traveling.

To find your nearest store visit www.bmstores.co.uk or use the map below. Please contact www.bmstores.co.uk if you require more information.

The B&M Map:

This map is a guide only and shouldn’t be used as a definite indication that a particular store has stock

The map shows most stores, if you see any missing please leave a comment. We use this map to show the distribution pattern and possible stock locations.

If you see stock and take a picture you can send it to [email protected] and we can add it to the map or you can link to an image you are hosting yourself.

We will list what sets have been seen in any particular store and on what date. This map has layers, if you click on the icon in the blue header at the top left of the map in you can select which layers you want to see.

A Character will be placed to the right of the store concerned (which does not mean that store has that particular item) but you will need to zoom in to separate the 2 or click off the store location layer.

The Daleks were in stock yesterday (8th October) at B&M Ipswich Felixstowe Road. There was only one of each set left on the shelf which I purchased for my collection. Hopefully they may have some more to to out overnight?

They also had plenty of the David Tennant and Paul McGann sets.

I went today (Sunday) to Leytonstone, they did have about 6 of the 10th Doctor set, that’s it.

I wodner, does anyone know the case sizes? If a store has one set, is it likely that they have the others in the back or can they just appear randomly?

    🙂
As of 12:26 Sunday 9th October there are currently at least four of each Dalek sets, plus a lot of the Eighth Doctor sets on the shelf at the large B&M Riverside retail park.

My panic is over until next time!

Good luck to anyone searching for these in the North West area. Get in quick and scupper the scalpers!!

I think b&m should allow customers to purchase these sets online or be able to ask their local store if they can order them in like a reserve service pre-order because this is happening every year are due out and it’s not fair that some of us miss out who are collecting these sets they need to realise that like myself could go around all of my local stores and they won’t be there or unhelpful staff will parm you off by telling you that they won’t be getting them in and would be so annoying if you waste petrol or in my case bus fare for nothing. So come on B&M keep us whovins happy by allowing us to do what I have suggested. Because as I say it’s happening every year I missed out last year because some greedy customer bought all of the stock.

To be honest, when I was a kid, loads of us made our own toys out of stuff you’ve mentioned.
There wasn’t much Film or TV merchandise about and when there was we couldn’t afford it. Simples!

When I was a kid in the early 70’s you’d be surprised what I used as toys. I remember using the cap of an Action Man military policeman as the sub from Marine Boy, toy traffic cones as Daleks etc., mix and matched clothing of action figures like Cyborg & Muton with Space 1999, Trek, Planet of the Apes etc., or using board games like Haunted House as play sets. Video games never really matched those joys. i’m 57 & playing Fallout 4, so never really grew up but …

I went to Bolton Manchester Road store again today.
They had 3 left of each of the 2 Dalek sets, I picked up one Planet and two Death. Someone else was in the store and picked up a Planet so there was 1 of each left when I left the store.
They had loads of Tenth Doctor sets. Didn’t pick any up.
They had one Eighth Doctor set left so even though I already have all 3 variants, I picked it up. I may sell or trade later, or I may swap some of my old ones. If it weren’t for the cup I would definitely sell my original release of the NotD one because the money would be better than that. But on account of the cup I’m not sure I can do that right now.

Ilkeston, Derby – Just a single stack of Tenth Doctor sets on a shelf full of Bobble Buddy Daleks. No other sets.

Spondon, Derby – Bingo! Both Dalek sets and both Doctor sets. At time of writing this there were at least 2 Dalek sets left and more Doctors (after I bought mine).

      October 8th, 2022 - 12:56pm

Its not a problem if you can rely on your local B and m to stock up. Also part of the fun is the hunt and would rather that than pay way over the odds on Ebay. the starter prices are appalling. If i had to resort to this i would at least wait until the prices had dropped significantly but then theres the petulant side of i must have it now. There will be some out there somewhere eventually.

    • Anonymous

      October 8th, 2022 - 3:37pm

There is absolutely NO FUN in a ‘Hunt’ in constantly traipsing around one B&M wasting time, petrol money, energy & effort to the next B&M & finding nothing – I gave up on that stupidity years ago. None of my 8 local B&M’s have ever had all FULL stock in & it was just a pointless disappointment. The cost on ebay easily matches the cost wasted on B&M hunting – So it’s a happy no-brainer for me!

    • The ergon

      October 8th, 2022 - 7:26pm

It helps when you know that your nearest b and m stock these regularly of course. The fun is turning into the toy aisle and hunting them down on the shelves.
Also the prices ive seen on the bay have been way overpriced. Thats why i wait for local stock or use this page to get details of nearest whereabouts from others to save going on that mad goose chase and save petrol into the bargain. Thats also a happy no brainer.

      October 9th, 2022 - 1:42am

The fact is, ergon, some of us are in the unhappy situation of not being near B&M stores that stock these, or have ceased to stock them following B&M’s aggressive expansion in 2020. It frankly isn’t much of a “hunt” if all you’re doing is going into your local branch and going “Oh goody, I wonder how many tens of all the packs I want this time round are going to be in stock”.

Some of us can’t afford the petrol. For others such as myself, financial AND mobility restrictions prevent us from traveling thither and yon in search of these sets. In my case, it’s pretty much killing my loyalty to this line by slow degrees. Supporting the b&m line was supposed to be a cheap and cheerful exercise. It’s gradually become neither for many of us.

From your many posts on this site you give the impression that affordability and accessibility isn’t a problem, and I don’t begrudge you that. But maybe extend a little empathy and understanding for those people whose ONLY prospects of collecting these figures is via the admittedly often extortionate hands of eBay sellers, eh?

    • The ergon

      October 9th, 2022 - 10:05am

Absolutely but you didnt make your mobility difficulties clear in your post. I do empathise with your situation, i really do and take this into account.
I was meerly pointing out that the comments in this section are there so we can all help each other find where these sets are so as to avoid ebay and its quick opportunists..
If you are able to get the items at cost and without all the fuss then all well and good.

  • Dalek J

    October 7th, 2022 - 8:59pm

I have written a very polite second email to Character Options, explaining the difficulties that lots of people are having trying to obtain the Dalek sets and linking to eBay sellers who have listed sets at more than double or even treble the shop price, some of whom have listings showing “6 available” on!
I got a polite response back saying the concerns will be passed on to the relevant people (Al Dewar?)
I suggested making more available and having them available directly via their website like the special Jungkes of Mechanus set.
Perhaps if enough people do something similar we might actually get somewhere and the greedy scalpers will end up with stuff they can’t sell or else lower their prices….

As always these are B&M commissioned exclusives, Character won’t be selling them online, besides B&M now have a new website and sell items online themselves so if anyone does it will be B&M.

    • John

      October 8th, 2022 - 10:09pm

Why can you not understand this is nothing to do with CO. They are commissioned to make them and that’s it. They suggest items to fit the budget but other than that it’s nothing to do with them. It’s ab exclusive arrangement so no one else can sell them. Totally pointless emailing them and just p****** them off.
