June 10th, 2017 - 5:09amTo answer a question below. The Standard edition had the lenticular packaging on the first batch run only. All subsequent batches of the box set had a standard non lenticular cover (with the same image). I initially had only the non lenticular version but have just purchased a used copy with the 3d lenticular cover to add to my collection as this is going to be progressively harder to get hold of. I do have the Limited Edition Steel-book edition too (#00027). I love all three and couldn’t choose a favorite.

January 3rd, 2012 - 3:42pmThe LE has a steelbook case and some limited edition art cards inside (you can see pics on Amazon UK). The blu-ray version is hard to find, but the DVD version still seems to be around.
DVD content is the same in both versions.
The regular version had a lenticular cover on release – but I don’t live in the UK, so I don’t know if subsequent pressings still have the lenticular cover. :p

August 10th, 2011 - 4:14amThose aren’t deleted scenes they were specially filmed for DVD to show what happens between episodes hence why there is music, no background noises or weird quality but they still have continuity errors in it ! π

McGann is the Doctor.
November 27th, 2010 - 11:53pmThere is a difference rite? In the special features, and dont you get a little signed-artwork-by Steven Moffat-cards or something on the Limited-Ed? There IS morefeatures with the set, but Id go for the normal Series-5 Box-set it is wonderful.
And I dont really need that much Special-Making-of Featuretts to know about the work thats gone behind this latest Series-Ive got the Brilliant Book which covers lots of stuff, and Dr Who magazine follows the production rite down to the grissly-struggles and talk with the creators. So go for the normal!

November 23rd, 2010 - 2:07pmEvery year it’s the same, individual dvds and a complete series boxset; do what I do, wait until the complete series hits the shelves – plus you get more extras when you buy the set as a whole – you should know this by now; I have never brought an individual dvd, when I know there’s a complete set coming out π
