From Death to the Daleks, the third serial of the 11th season of Doctor Who, comes a Doctor Who MEGA Figurines figure of the titular Daleks.

This episode, which was originally broadcast in four weekly parts in 1974, featured the Third Doctor Jon Pertwee. The story followed the Daleks and a human expedition that both arrived on the planet Exxilon to seek out the planet’s natural resources.

I’m still waiting on the weeping angel Statue of Liberty and seismic detector Dalek. Despite the fact they said they were reordering it months ago.

Email received today from Eaglemoss saying there are supply chain issues so long delay with next figurines. Eaglemoss gave gone downhill lately with supply, let alone another issue. No clear reason as to what the issue is this time!

I’ve had the same email this morning. They must be several months behind now. I’m wondering if the collection will just fizzle out rather than continue as my deliveries are taking longer each time.

Is anyone getting anything at the moment? I’ve had 214 and 215 from FP. Not seen 212 or 213 from them yet though. The eaglemoss site seems to be frozen in time and I’ve ordered the megas and specials from them but it all seems so long ago!! The predicted release dates seem to have gone to pot as well. Any info available as to when they’ll catch the site up?

From FP had 215, still awaiting 212,216-219. Sent Them the email the other day but just got the standard covid excuse. Just keep checking your open orders if you dont get the shipping confirmation. Everybody is waiting. Although a few in the US have recieved their Robot Cleaners.

Same with me- new card. They said their software was the problem and they are having problems which they are having trouble sorting. Also I asked why sone ranges eg sonic and wizarding world, aren’t on the site anymore- they said they are discontinued ranges.

I’m currently having problems buying online products, topping up my Oyster etc. It’s the FCMVBV error code from a few years ago, card verification failure, check though mine is a year old Deibit Card, might be a different problem from you guys …

Whats everyone’s choice for the next Mega Dalek?

I’d like to see the Necros White/Gold Dalek from Revelation
Or a Security Defense Drone Dalek

I think the daleks have been well represented in the mega range so far, with the iconic first ever dalek, plus the classic dark grey Genesis dalek design representing pretty much most 70s and 80s dalek appearances, give or take a few design tweaks.
Now with the great silver design from Death on the way my choice for the next mega would have to be an Imperial dalek from Remembrance, followed closely by the gold supreme from Day of the Daleks.

Usually wait for the megas to be in stock before I buy, but I think I might just strait up pre-order this one when it’s available!

I’ve got to say, the price of these is getting out of hand. £80 odd was fine but £145 is ridiculous and seems only to be the RRP so they can have sales?

I’m still miffed at having to pay full price for the last Mega dalek which had a missing slat.

They didn’t put in the missing slat before final release? That’s terrible, and I can’t understand what went wrong there. Did one of the actual Genesis props have a slat missing in one scene (that no one remembers)? I genuinely don’t get how it could be missed, and allowed into production.

The Mega Mondasian Cyberman still hasn’t been released yet to my knowledge which seems to have taken an age and been put back a few times, so don’t expect this to be available for several months or longer. Really love this Dalek though!

Really striking colours, as you say Ergon. Maybe one to get when they are discounted down the line. I don’t collect the ‘megas’ either, although I recently got the Bronze Dalek for much less than it’s original price.

      Hi Ergon,

I have a huge fondness for ‘Destiny’. My favourite Doctor/companion and such an atmospheric opening episode. I’ll admit the Daleks do not look their best!

‘Genesis’ is not only a great story but great television. Last episode of ‘Dalek’s Masterplan’ sounds wonderful and I wish it would turn up. ‘Revelation’ easily the best Sixth Doctor story and I like the dark humour.

There have been some wonderful Big Finish Dalek stories such as ‘Jubilee’ and ‘Masters of Earth’ to name two!

      April 22nd, 2022 - 9:40pm

I own jubilee, somewhere. That is a cracking Dalek story Doug. I should have tied a few. Cant believe i omitted Rob shearmans Excellent Dalek but I listed these as they tend to be the ones i push into the players more than the others. Destiny part 1 is very atmospheric I agree. Those winds on Skaro and that unsettling build up till they break through the glass i remember it so well when watching it on transmission and a being just a little scared.
