B&M 2021 History of the Daleks #6 Figure Set

Character Options is excited to announce a next wave of Doctor Who action figure sets for 2021 with five new lines scheduled to arrive in B&M stores in Mid-October.

The line-up will introduce two more action figure three packs, two further ‘History of the Daleks’ sets, plus a rather splendid “Doctor & TARDIS” set. This new wave includes highly detailed and decorated 5.5 inch scale figures with multiple points of articulation all of which come packaged in the familiar ‘heritage’ style Doctor Who collector packs with specially created insert artwork. Once again these Limited Edition figure sets all bring something fresh to the range be it the characters themselves or variants never released before.

The Doctor Who ‘History of the Daleks’ sets have developed their very own fan base and are sequentially staggered as before, so again these next two sets are slightly out of order to rebalance the line. The #6 The Evil of the Daleks Set is from the 1967 Second Doctor story and features two detailed Dalek figures. The first is of the imperial guard Dalek seen towards the end of the story with its black dome and is joined by a standard silver ‘drone’ Dalek. The History of the Dalek sets have unique differences and this set has different deco and two different eyestalks for the Daleks in line the first appearance of the ‘pupil’ style eye in this story.

Al Dewar Character Options’ Creative Director said: “I think it is safe to say this swathe of releases is very different from the first release and features some truly unique characters and ‘Big hitters’. This line up represents some of the finest episodes of the Fifth Doctor, Cyber Androids with interchangeable ‘attack’ hands, a Raston Warrior Robot and a new First Doctors TARDIS that’s not just a repaint! In the Daleks sets we have also delivered something new for fans again with some truly nefarious Daleks and the first real ‘army builder’ set. We hope that our fans and followers enjoy them!”

If anyone is in the North-west of England and is still after this Evil of the Daleks set or the Planet of the Daleks set, the B&M at Riverside Retail Park had a few of each in this morning (January 18th 2022).

They also had stock of the Five Doctors set with Cyber Leader, Earthshock set.

Voord and Sensorites sets were on the shelves in greater numbers and at the lower prices (£12.99 I think)
    Good luck!

In view of this and other recent released some Ogrons and the Emperor would be rather nice.

All these Daleks start looking the same, maybe some exploded versions just for a change

Some are a little samey and it gets a little Tedious. The supreme from ‘planet’ i want again and those first three Davros figures. oh and i like the silver ‘Death’ Daleks. my favourites from the classic era.

I,m just wondering if The K-1 will come with 2 more Dalek sets as part of a Third wave including supreme with the possibility of a companion or two in a separate pack. It would seem odd releasing just one set.

I’ve heard the K1 set as been delayed well into next year now ergon. Not surprising really as the 1st wave was originally scheduled for June, (not September).

Possibly their holding the K1 back on purpose so it could be released with an early wave from 2022.
Like you said ergon seems strange to have one set in a wave. (never heard of it before).

I would have liked to have seen a different version of the drone Dalek. Like maybe an Alpha with appropriate letter carved into it. We have seen the Imperial guard Dalek before, as well as the drone, so something a little different, like maybe Alpha and Beta Daleks, would have been appreciated.

I’ll still get this set, of course 🙂 so I’m just nitpicking.

It’s not a standard drone Dalek though, it’s the pull variant. Which is a first for the 5″ line of figures.

@ Some Boi Online – Can you please explain your ‘pull variant’ for the standard drone Dalek?

      “pupil” – autocorrect.

I was looking forward to seeing what they’d do with this set as there’s so much with this fascinating story they could do!

I was expecting that they’d do a Dalek Emperor guard, though was slightly hoping they wouldn’t because they’ve already done it a couple of times before. (Though, then again, I think it was still quite a sought after figure?)

The pupil Dalek is a nice addition, though, I can’t tell, did they go back to the light grey mid-section for it? I thought so from the promo image but looking at the photo of it in the box, I’m not so sure.

It’s nice how in the recent animation there was that Dalek with the Emperor that had a pupil in its eye, and CO have also done the same

In the animation of Evil the pupil was on the wrong Dalek as it was on a Emperor Dalek Guard where as in real like was on a dalek like on the figure

I noticed that. Similar situation with the Wilkie Dalek, which I believe was Victoria’s guard in the original, but in the animation we only glimpse it on Skaro. Shame because it would be nice for fans to be able to point out the pupil in the episode and have the figure.
