Dr Who Figurine Collection #146 sil

This stunning 1:16 scale figurine of Sil features actor Nabil Shaban in his iconic costume. A separate cast of Shaban’s head was made so that the mask could be made from latex rubber. The heat in the studio meant the glue in the mask would soften, and to keep Shaban cool his face was sprayed with water. The creation of Sil was inspired by Isaac Asimov who had noted that aliens in science fiction were rarely water-based creatures.
