Doctor Who Magazine Special In The Studio
The latest Doctor Who Magazine Special, In the Studio, is out this Thursday. It takes you behind the making-of Doctor Who in studio, from its relatively primitive beginnings at Lime Grove to the cutting edge of modern television production at Roath Lock!

April 24th, 2018 - 11:42amI think it’s a fascinating issue – I’ve always loved reading about how Doctor Who was produced in studios, and because it has been made for so many decades it has experienced lots of changes in production and technology. I’m also proud to be featured in it! It’s a dream come true for this lifelong DWM reader!

April 16th, 2018 - 4:13pmHow many more Special Editions? It’s getting a bit too frequent now to be considered special.

April 16th, 2018 - 5:05pmThis is no 48 i think and they have been doing these every few months for years, not to be confused with the essential guide series.
Waterloo Curve
April 19th, 2018 - 8:00amExactly! Every few months dilutes the meaning of special edition for me.
The essential guide series? Complete History? Or something different.
The Flying Shark
April 20th, 2018 - 7:15amThis is number 49-there are still three a year like there’s always been, but I suppose it feels like more seeing as we have the Essentials and they cover much the same ground.
The emperor of mars

April 16th, 2018 - 2:14pmAny chance that the design team forgot the need to include ‘Special Edition’ on the cover until the last second, judging by its haphazard placement in the top-left corner? Other than that, loving the striking new production photo from “Bells” – few Doctors truly lit up DWM covers quite like the Eleventh in this fan’s humble opinion.

The Flying Shark
April 16th, 2018 - 1:24pmIs that a new picture? Loving this cover, so, so much better than the early draft with just a picture of Hartnell on it.
