November 5th, 2013 - 4:52pmHave tried ALL year to place an order. Site permanently down, twitter and facebook stating processing back orders. Even tried ringing 0845 number and got 0112 voice mail.
I REALLY want to get a charm for my bracelet, does anyone have any advice on how I can go about this?

The TARDIS
January 20th, 2013 - 10:16pmBit confused by all of the silver stuff – 50th anniversary is the golden anniversary! Silver is 25 years…
booboo
January 20th, 2013 - 10:48pmthey seem to be using both, the logo is sliver on the books

January 16th, 2013 - 8:56pmCongrats booboo. I got the one I wanted too, but I went according to fact, not number. I wanted the one with the most relevant fact to the 50th Anniversary, so went for #162: “The very first scene of Doctor Who showed a Police man walking into a junkyard, inside which was a Police box that was later revealed to be The Doctor’s TARDIS. The text on the gate read: I.M. Foreman, Scrap Merchant, 76 Totter’s Lane”
The Whovastatron
January 16th, 2013 - 6:33pmI don’t think i’ll get any off these, all too expensive for something so small, I know its silver and gold etc. but id rather have a large matal thing painted silver. I envy you guys who have the money for these though.

January 16th, 2013 - 9:52amThey’re meant to be bringing out some jewellery in a few months so i might just hang on till then… then i’ll be able to show my purchase off to the world without having to carry it round in a display box!

January 16th, 2013 - 10:03amthere is lots of jewellery, general merchandise and chess sets to come!

January 16th, 2013 - 5:17pmChess sets?

The Monitor
January 15th, 2013 - 9:44pmI expect that the majority of fans/collectors will not be able to stretch further than this item, as the next item costs 5-fold more.
I agree that the BBC advert is unnecessary, but I would also add that for me the crazy paving “50” does not quite work artistically. The fragmented McGann logo in comparison is wonderful and would have been preferable on an ingot of silver in my eyes.

January 15th, 2013 - 10:18pmwe have ordered one of these as soon as the website went live, asked for no 1, 50, or no 2 in that order
DavidH
January 16th, 2013 - 12:06amOrdered one myself. You’ll face stiff competition for those numbers though, they’ll be top of lots of people’s lists. Not mine however, so no competition from me 🙂
Here’s hoping we both get what we want
booboo
January 16th, 2013 - 5:26pmGot number 1
The Monitor
January 16th, 2013 - 5:33pmWell done. That is a brilliant number. Have you managed that on other items.
I got 0005 on the WHSmiths Dalek DVD set and have 002 on a first day stamp cover.
booboo
January 16th, 2013 - 5:35pmnever, i did pounce as soon as the website went live, i really want to see some of the other stuff due later as well, especially the chess sets
DavidH

drjakeyoung
January 16th, 2013 - 9:58pmcould someone update me on what these number things are, i don’t quite understand 🙂
DavidH
January 16th, 2013 - 10:20pmThere are only 1000 on offer, individually numbered, and you get to pick which number you get. If it isn’t already gone, of course 🙂
booboo
January 16th, 2013 - 10:28pmi assume they will cross out the numbers taken at some stage
drjakeyoung
January 17th, 2013 - 10:58amso does that mean number 1 has already been taken? (by booboo) Also what are the facts on them?
booboo
January 17th, 2013 - 12:41pmyes i have that number 1, they are random facts for each number
drjakeyoung

Sugar doc
January 15th, 2013 - 6:15pmI have to admit they could have made some cheaper products for the younger generation dont you
drjakeyoung
January 15th, 2013 - 5:36pmjust a shame it has the BBC logo on it
booboo
January 15th, 2013 - 5:40pmthats the 50th anniversary logo
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 15th, 2013 - 5:58pmIt also includes the BBC logo as well Booboo.
What Dr Jake Young is saying is it seems spoiled abit by the inclusion of the BBC logo on the product under the 50th Anniversary logo when it would look better without the BBC logo.
booboo
January 15th, 2013 - 8:10pma right, see what you mean, yes would look better but i have no doubt the BBC probably wanted it there
drjakeyoung
January 15th, 2013 - 6:54pmi think it would look 10 times better and worth the price if they took the BBC logo off. It just doesn’t look as nice as it would without it on (similar with the doctor who logo in the current series)
