50th Anniversary BBC Shop Prints – 2nd Doctor

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Patrick Troughton Limited Edition Print – BBC Shop Exclusive

Available to order from the BBC Shop

To celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who BBC Shop is producing a very special limited edition print for each Doctor and releasing one each month during 2013. There are only 100 available of this collectible framed print with mounted medallion. Only available at BBC Shop. Don’t miss out on this very exciting release complete with certificate of authenticity.

The Second Doctor was very different to his predecessor. A more playful, whimsical air disguised dark undercurrents and a sharp mind. And as the Doctor changed, so did the adventures. Trips into earth’s history gave way to besieged Moonbases, Martian Ice Warriors and Space Pirates.

Not to mention the heyday of the emotionless Cybermen, whom the Doctor froze into their ancient tombs once more. It wasn’t until he was put on trial by his own people – The Time Lords – for interference, that the Second Doctor was forced to regenerate.

  • Individually boxed
  • Print measurement: 16 x 20 inches – Outer measurements 57x47cm
  • Certificate of authenticity
  • Bespoke silver plated double sided medallion insert
  • 40x30mm contemporary moulding
  • Double mount

They are indeed quite pricey, but it would be nice to own even one of them. I’ll think about getting Eleven’s; there’s plenty of time to, at least. It’ll give me time to see what other merchandise they decide to release to commemorate the fiftieth.

I’m spending all my Christmas gift money to bey all 11 of these! I hope I’m in time to get all though, missing just one would be a real bummber. The BBC shop should have made an option to pre order them all at once!
