YES! OR MAYBE THE SATAN PIT ROSE THAT THEY HAVE A SCULPT FOR OMG

      October 16th, 2016 - 8:09pm

No no no. We already have two variants of rose.

    • DWCR

      October 16th, 2016 - 8:22pm

Yes, but we already have an endless amount of ten’s amd we’re still getting more 6 years after his departure. I know he is a doctor and rose is just a companion, but if they already have the sculpt it just seems logical releasing it. Just like the professor lazarus figure and Owen harper figure

      October 16th, 2016 - 9:01pm

Plus Rose is a very ionic companion and has returned multiple times so she’s well known just as much a the 10th doctor….
A Rose as the Moment would be good too!

Billie doesn’t want anymore figures released. Neither does Catherine Tate. Another Martha probably wouldn’t be very profitable and neither would another Rory unless maybe if they did him in his Roman outfit. Maybe a new Amy, but I can’t see them doing that, at this point beyond repaints, I can see the only companions getting new figures being Clara and Bill.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice figure but when we have waited this long to see some new figures and we have been getting all excited by making lists including the cyberman and the 12th doctor in red velvet coat , this is very underwhelming.

      I just don’t get it.

When they were discussing what figures should be included in the new collectors series figures why on earth did this even come up? It’s just such a random choice. Now I get a lot of people have wanted to see this but I certainly haven’t heard anyone bring it up in a while.

Let’s just hope this 2nd item is not what we think. I really don’t want a plain re-release of the 10th Doctor Tardis playset. I get some people don’t have it and would appreciate this but when they are revealing only 5 products and we have been waiting so long to see new stuff a simple re-release of a Tardis playset should certainly not be included.

I never asked for for it originally back in 2007 and would have been better if we’d got it then in the Voyage of the Damned set but if we did it wouldn’t feature The End of Time head sculpt. I’m hoping the reason the picture for the next item has been used is because its supposed to be hinting towards a playset of some sort as we’ve only ever had the Ninth/Tenth Doctor and Eleventh Doctor’s TARDIS interiors in 5″ form. However I doubt it. As the Seventh Doctor once said “Time will tell. It always does.”

Just lovely to see new figures coming, so looking forward to see what’s new. This quiet period has given me time to catch up on what I missed out on in earlier years so that’s good. Please does anyone know if 13 doctor set is coming to Uk and when

Currently due in Toys R Us in November (this may change – it is relatively likely, I would have thought, that the set will be accompanied in the new Toys R Us stock by the five new products currently being announced by UT, but not certain by any means)

The thing is 10 in a tux is old news. I certainly won’t be spending £15 on it.

We could do with a new set of either 3.75 or 5″ figures based on series 10 or i fear the range will soon be dead. New monsters, not just endless versions of the Doctor or Nardole and Bill.

I agree with you to an extent, but we at least need an accurate variant of the Twelfth Doctor as he hasn’t been done justice in the 5″ range. None of the variants we got last year looked like him and all the costume variants were inaccurate and incorrect. I wouldn’t mind seeing a variant of him in his hoodie from Series 9, but I’d definitely prefer a variant of him in his velvet coat with a waistcoat this time around otherise I won’t buy it. We definitely need some new monsters, there must be at least a Nightmare in Silver design Cyberman getting released and I would really like to see Skaldak from Cold War get a release, but I fear there isn’t enough interest and that its been left to long. Having said that though, both figures were released in the 3.75″ range so I don’t see why not.

      October 16th, 2016 - 3:57pm

to some though a (good variant) of the 10th Doctor is just as good news a good variant of any classic Doctor

People have been asking for this figure and its articulation for a long time

Also keep bearing in mind this UT’s account only speaks for the USA and that until toys r us and FP starts talking the UK availability is unknown

As for the playset, well think K9

I agree with you and think this is most likely the case. I think the reason this fogure was chosen was so that it could go with the supposed Ninth/Tenth Doctor’s TARDIS playset re-relase, explaining why its such a bizarre figure to release. I also think this is a nice figure and although I appreciate the effort that has been put into it, wouldn’t have put it at the top of my list for most wanted figures to be made. Despite this, I’m happy we’re getting at least something new and will still pick it up when it is released.

Ill probably buy this but its not a favourite to be honest, i hope the other ones are not characters in different costumes. i would love some whispermen or cyberman 2013-present. I would buy lots of those especially the whispermen. ALSO what packaging are these going to come in? And why is the doctors sonic screwdriver black?

Maybe we will be seeing more missed-opportunity figures from the new series.

I would have liked to have had another Donna as the one they released in the coat, although a good figure, was weirdly bulky because of the duffle coat and I would have liked a straight-haired Journey’s End one as well, along with a neutral-pose (rather than the running one which looks odd amongst the rest) series 1 or Satan Pit Rose. I understand these were vetoed under the actors’ wishes but they would be nice to see if Billie and Catherine were persuaded to change their minds.

I would definitely be really happy if it was a new (FTR) Clara. I’ve been wishing for that figure. As for the new Donna idea, I think it would make sense as we got 2 versions of Rose and 2 versions of Martha & Amy but only 1 Donna?

    • DoctorSong2016

      October 15th, 2016 - 6:36pm

That was because Catherine Tate didn’t like the first one. They supposedly had a Journeys End Donna in the pipeline, I don’t know if that’s true but if it is then like many figures, it never saw the light of day. The funny thing is that there’s a load of prototypes for awesome sounding figures (Satan Pit Rose, Dufflecoat Seven, Pirate Amy) but instead we get figures like Grandma Connolly and Laszlo. Oh well.

An interesting choice but I remember back around 07-09 this was a figure that many people wanted, with there being a lot it dissapointment that this variant wasn’t in the Voyage of the Damned set. I’m certainly glad to see it being released, I’m certainly looking forward to what’s coming next, although I would like some more either classic or series 6-9 figures where there’s still a lot more gaps to fill in releases.

This is surprisingly good! Admittedly, I’d have preferred a scaled up version of the 3.75 10th because it had a far supirior sculpt! I think we’ll see 11th (green coat), 12th(TMA), Clara (FTR) and Osgood next. The only other one I could see being made would be the new Cyberman.

Noooooo…. no Osgood, its bad enough that people wanted her to take Bill’s place. And with the fact they wrote it in that there is a Zygon duplicate of her makes it worse. If anything, a figure of Susan Foreman in b&w/colour would be good. Seeing as there isnt a figure of the Doctor’s Grandaughter

I wonder if The War Doctor’s console room will be the next reveal? All it needs is a new plinth to but the console itself on. Everything else is just a repaint of the existing Ninth / Tenth Doctor set. Could be easily made smaller too in order to keep costs down.
