Hello, I’ve brought this figure today from Forbidden Planet for £14.99. When I questioned the price I was told the £9.99 was an online exclusive price, was I overpriced or is this correct?

theoretically if it was shown in store at £14.99 then they can charge that, and that was the original price when it looked like it was going to be another FP exclusive before it went on general release

I would certainly send them an email though

Please buy this online, if you see at the £14.99 price because it’s cheaper.

Got my 3 from Galaxy 4. I’ve noticed that some 10th Tuxedo UT have not been covered over but others have? My 10th Tuxedo has stickers over the front & back & the whole bottom panel Barcode has been replaced. I see the Production date is also different from the 12th’s?

Not at all surprised but Amazon themselves, BALLABEG100 and Whoniverse are selling them for £19.95 or more at this moment (on amazon.co.uk). Still all profiting £10 or more for each one sold compared to the fairer £9.99 price. Bah, humbug!

Yeah… I think they are gearing them towards the US buyers since we can’t get them here and we can only get them from overseas! Bah humbug is right!

And refreshingly, on this occasion there are other retailers you can order from. In the (unlikely) event fpi don’t get more in, fp.com and Galaxy 4 are still taking preorders against arrival of their stock.

did you order the other figures? I think they charge the full p/p on the 1st shipment if I remember right

The full amount of applicable Postage on your whole order request is debited with your first shipment.

Spoke to them and checked account they had charged me the original price of £15 and postage but if you look to order again should be £9.99 + £2 p&p so owed me refund of £3.49 so just to make people aware that they may have been overcharged.

Mine came over an hour ago, it’s a fantastic figure in-hand. The prototype images don’t do it justice, also the fringe of the hair sculpt doesn’t stick out as much as the End of Time and Eleven Doctors set variants.

amazing figure looks so much better in hand. only knees bend . thies and feet don’t. was worried about delivery as had problems at christmas but all was good. my only problem was the bobble on the left arm didn’t fit properly so I got a needle and scooped out all the slag and now it fits and moves without falling off. Its a good likeness too in pic he looked younger in hand not so much. I love the new sonic much, more stable in hand. at last the 10th dr can now do better arm movements.

      February 8th, 2017 - 6:31pm

I’m surprised one of the retailers has not “seen the light” and put a USA package together of all 3 figures with reasonable postage

or is business that good these days that they don’t see the need?

    • Cyberman Bill

      February 9th, 2017 - 11:51am

@ Booboo… yeah… we can only hope business is that good!! I’m surprised too that they haven’t put some sort of package together. I know what’s going to happen though, someone who has a friend in the U.K. Is going to buy a bunch of these and put them on American eBay for ridiculous prices. I hate that!

Probably, but FPI have been known to bump prices up a little in stores (2015’s Twelfth Doctors were £17.99 in the Cardiff branch, while the 8th Doctor was £23.99)

I asked forbidden planet.co.uk if they had stock of this yet and this is what they said

This is still on a pre-order basis. It was due to arrive late January 2016 and we are still waiting for this to arrive. As the date has only just past we do not have a revised release date for this item, so i cannot tell you how long this may be. As soon as stock arrives we will process and dispatch your order and email you again at that time. All dates given are estimates and subject to change or delay by the supplier. Your order remains live on our system, however if you no longer wish to wait for this please advise and I will cancel this for you.
