I would like to take a lifestyle break ( one month off work ) but I have to book this at least one year in advance to guarantee having the time off.
So is there any events preferably in London that happen the same time every year?

London comic con at either Olympia or Excel.

      Nice attitude!

Actually Lifestyle Breaks are pretty common for a lot of Industries (You just don’t get paid for the time off)

I once took off 3 months from work as a Lifestyle Break to arrange for my Father’s funeral.

Thank you for the two suggestions it would be nice to go to a convention for the first time and have a nose round London site’s such as Sherlock Holmes, Forbidden planet, Dr who shop etc.
The two events mentioned are these normally in July?

does anyone think that series 1 – 4 + TND could be remastered and scanned at 4k or at least HD
and put out for a new blu ray release

    • Tyler Prescott

      September 25th, 2018 - 9:31pm

Unlikely. I don’t know much about filming equipment, but I read somewhere they were filmed with a camera type that doesn’t upgrade or remaster well.

I contacted them directly when the Sonic and Doll were revealed. They said they have no plans to stock Doctor Who this year. Shame really, what with the shows relaunch, it would have been great to see it on the shelves in a place like this.

That’s a shame considering they’re the next best thing from toys r us

    • Tyler Prescott

“next best thing from toys r us”
Toys ‘R’ Us has closed down. Smyths is THE best thing at the moment.

Didn’t know where to post this but this is the area that seems to get the most attention, but there is a screening of the first episode of series 11 today in Sheffield? I think. Not sure if it’s press only or if anybody could have got tickets to see it so just be wary of any possible spoilers floating around for the next week a half.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby?

      September 24th, 2018 - 10:45am

As far as I’m aware it’s a press screening but there was a ticket ballot open to fans who could attend the red carpet event. I don’t think there will be much spoilers floating around to be honest, I think people are more likely to tease it.

    • The Outcast

      September 24th, 2018 - 10:50am

I think only Press are allowed to see the episode, but fans who won tickets are allowed to see all the cast and that on the red carpet.

      September 24th, 2018 - 11:01am

I remember when they invited audiences to a screening of Solo over two weeks before it was due to be released in cinemas and I got the whole film completely ruined for me on a completely unrelated site to Star Wars so I’m not risking it with Doctor Who. There’s a lot of people out there who take great joy in ruining things for other people so I’m keeping my guard up as best I can.

    • The Outcast

      September 24th, 2018 - 11:09am

That is what I fear happening. Especially seeing as Chibnall and Co have been trying desperately hard to keep us in the dark to make our collective experience better. I don’t want the Sun or Mirror coming along and just putting an entire plot synopsis online a week early and ruin it for all the fans.

Does anyone have the Production Date Codes for the B&M sets & the new Amazon Bill Potts figure? I’m wondering if:

    1. The B&M Codes distinguish the packs individually?

    2. If both Bill Potts figures were the same Production Date?

Amazon Bill was made 15th March the B&M sets 30th April

I saw this on Amazon. And a ton of movie studios is doing the same thing. VHS packaging, I would love them to do a range for this. Just separate stories. Like one per doctor

1st Doctor: The Dalek Invasion of Earth
2nd Doctor: The Tomb of the Cybermen
    3rd Doctor: Spearhead from Space
4th Doctor: Genesis of the Daleks
    5th Doctor: Earthshock
    6th Doctor: Venegence
    7th Doctor: Survival
    8th Doctor: TV Movie

and a special anniversary thing for The Five Doctors and An Unearthly Child

    • Me

If Rory never existed until the Pandorica Opens, who is River’s father at that point? If Rory’s still her father, why doesn’t she recognise him?

    • Anonymous

      September 19th, 2018 - 10:14pm

She acts like she doesn’t, because they don’t know she’s there daughter.

    • Doctor Stu

      September 20th, 2018 - 9:00am

There’s also the fact Riversong is conceived after the Big Bang (lol) on Amy’s and Rory’s wedding night and so Rory would exist for him to be her father. And riversong has timelord DNA and happens to be a time traveller so she’s able to retain the memories she has of Rory. Also she has to lie a lot of the time and pretend she doesn’t know things yet so she doesn’t corrupt any earlier timelines

Is there a reason Gwen isn’t in Torchwood series 6?

    • Anonymous

      September 19th, 2018 - 11:37pm

Eve Myles is too busy to record 12 episodes of new Torchwood a year alongside the rest of the cast. It’s a better option than, say, not having her in the monthly range with the rest of the TV cast, or not having her in the full-cast TV-era stories.

    • Doctor Stu

      September 20th, 2018 - 9:01am

I mean is there an ‘in-universe’ explanation, surely she’s not dead? And is she going to be coming back at some point because she’s part of what makes Torchwood the hit that it is

    • DoctorOsgoodTARDIS

      September 20th, 2018 - 9:50pm

There is an in-universe explaination, at the end of series 5

    • Anonymous

      September 21st, 2018 - 1:43am

She’s permanently gone until further notice

    • itzPrew

      September 21st, 2018 - 6:34pm

She left at the end of Series 5

    • Doctor Stu

      September 21st, 2018 - 7:22pm

Is there room for her to come back? Because if not then that’s ridiculous she’s as much the lifeblood behind that show as Jack and Ianto. Bumping Ianto off was bad enough but Gwen would be too far
