Victory of the Daleks one of the highest ranking stories for Series 5 ? 😯
The exact same reason that aweful story Resurrection of the Daleks was top of the season poll in 1984:
IT HAD DALEKS IN IT. ❗ Frontios, Caves of Adrozahni or Planet of Fire should have been the top ones damn it ! I voted for Amy’s choice, the Time of Angels, Vincent and the Doctor and i nthe 11 Doctors set the Sixth Doctor, which although slightly inaccurate and having no accessories, is a LOVELY figure.

Very unlikely, the figure will likely still be being produced so only prototypes will exist at the moment so only certain groups will see it.

    • booboo

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:02pm

i doubt it to be honest, we are not retailers so there is i limit as to what we will be able to see, bit disappointed also that Doctor Who experience is not open so wont be able to go

    • BOOBOO JR

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:04pm

What, to the Toy Fair or just the DWE?

no to DWE, i knew it shut Wednesday but its Monday Tuesday and wed now . We are definitely going to the toy fair.

That’s good to hear about the Toy Fair, but dissapointing news about the DWE. Why have they closed it on a Monday and Tuesday too now? That’s just silly, they’ll be loosing business.

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:11pm

probably as it a week days and the time of year, there probably isn’t much demand for those days as its been open for a while now. pity as we probably wont get another chance in London

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:24pm

True, hopefully you’ll be able to see the new stuff. What do you reckon will be on display at the Toy Fair?

    • booboo

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:30pm

They should have the new CB items from all the franchises (deadly 60, Doctor who, armed forces etc) they havnet gone to all the rouble of building that Dalek for nothing !

What we will be able to see (and more to the point talk about) is very much out of our hands.

    • BOOBOO JR

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:33pm

Any chance of new figures, or at least prototypes?

    • booboo

if they are then we wont get to see them and if anyone does they wont be able to tell you about, there are very strict agreements in place

    • BOOBOO JR

      January 17th, 2012 - 8:36pm

Oh πŸ™ , but at least we’ll be able to see the new CB Stuff. Was there any other sort of merchandise on display last year?

Silent with Closed Mouth and Lightning is a Wedding of River Song figure (in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon they all have their mouths open when attacking) although that is the only one.

No, think if they make any figures for that special we should not have a set, jsut a figure of the Wooden King the Doctor in spacesuit maybe a new figure of the Doctor with patterned Jacket release ❓

But really, what we need is Series 6 figures, it’s almost a whole year until Series 7, that’s plenty of time for Rory and a new Doctor Longcoat figure, and a new Amy figure, and Dorium Maldover, and the Minotaur and some Handbots ! πŸ™

I think it was the best special yet! I loved the story, it was inventive and ATLAST we have an enemy made out of wood. I love how christmassy it was, i always think programmes from the ww2 era are christmasy. The acting was superb, even the children (i never really feel convinced when children act) and what a wonderful ending. And to all of you saying its the worst, its funny because i bet that you will still get the dvd/bluray anyway.
Also for Xmas i got :-
    CB TARDIS Console room playset
    The Brillant Book 2012
    Annual 2012
    TARDIS USB hub.

im not getting the dvd. Why do you think the people who hated it would? Even if i did like it I probably wouldn’t have got it. Im not saying it was rubbish as i do respect some parts of it but i don’t feel it was a strong episode. It could have been better.

I agree with matt smithy, I am not going to buy the DVD, but I didn’t think the episode was rubbish, just a little disappointing to watch.

I love all the Dr Who episodes including the xmas special…But even if Moff suddenly really wanted to hand it back to Mr t davies he couldn’t. Moffat didn’t sieze control, Russel left having done a fantastic job as head writer and handed the job onto the hugely talented Steven Moffat. Russel wouldn’t take it back even if you freely handed it to him…he’s done his version and a good version too.

i think steven moffet is amasing writer if it wasn’t for him series 6 would not have been possible and series 6 was the best series 6 ever

I’m sorry to those that thought that “the doctor the widow and the wardrobe was the best christmas special yet, that I thought it was the worst since 2005. I just thought there was too much humour, not enough action and not a proper story line. I also was disapointed with the monsters, they turned out to be good, really?

I did’nt think it was the worst the next doctor was the worst but I think you were right with the action bit not much but I think that makes it more christmassy

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with you there stetsonsarecool. I think that “the next doctor” was the best christmas speacil sine 2005, right next to “the end of time part 1”.

In my opinion, the worst 3 christmas specials have to be “voyage of the damned”, “a Christmas carol” and “The doctor, the widow and the wardrobe”.

It was the best special yet. The worst by far was A Christmas Carol last year

But the best Christmas Special of all time has to be The Feast of Steven, you can’t beat Terry Nation’s writing.

For me, a good christmas special needs a balance of humour and action alongside a GOOD stroy line that is easy to follow and makes sense.
