Update: The Un-Released Eaglemoss Figurines to Finally Surface
Update:
The next batch of figures to be released are The Black Guardian #220, Vinder #221, Ood Elder #222 and Azure #223 along with the above already announced Special Sontaran on Horseback. These will be available to order in the coming weeks.
OLD UPDATES:
“We are delighted to announce a second guest for the launch day of the next 3 Eaglemoss figures at our St Alban’s store on March 18th.
These and many other previously released Figurines, Rare Daleks, Specials and Consoles are currently available via www.ebay.co.uk or www.scificollectorshop.co.uk
We will be joined for the day by Neil Corry whose illustrious career in the world of Doctor Who was most recently as the Editor of the Eaglemoss Doctor Who Figurine Collection magazine that accompanied the wonderful official figurines.
Neil’s has been involved with other major Doctor Who projects including The Battles in Time Trading cards and The Doctor Who DVD files both with GE Fabbri, Doctor Who Adventures magazine for the BBC, and then Editor from issue 1 of the Eaglemoss magazines accompanying the figures.
Neil will be happy to sign any official Doctor Who merchandise with which he is associated and this will be charged at £10 for any 5 items, or £20 for any 12 items, so gather your trading cards, your Doctor Who Adventures magazines and your Eaglemoss magazines and bring them with on the day.
This will be Neil’s first ever public appearance, and a fabulous opportunity to meet one of Who’s foremost experts, secure his autograph and to hear his inside story.”
We are now starting to send stock of the Karvanista, Cleaner Robots and rare Tardis Consoles into our other regional stores in Norwich, Cardiff, Bristol, Cwmbran, Taunton and Hatfield. All stores should have some limited stock by the weekend.
We appear also to have successfully managed the despatch of stock of the Karvanista figure to Amazon.com. This will likely take at least a week/10 days to filter into fulfilment centres, and we will keep American collectors advised here. Provided this does indeed work, we should be able to adopt the same route for the three additional figures launching at St Albans on March 18, when Nicola Bryant will be in store signing merchandise. Fuller details will be added in due course.
Some really exciting news for you, which I know fans will welcome, concerning the fate of the un-released Eaglemoss figures.
Several of these were for all intents and purposes, impounded, when Eaglemoss went into administration. As the dust has settled and the legalities have been attended to, these figures have finally been rescued!
We now have them available EXCLUSIVELY.
They are gradually coming into stock, and we will be launching the first of them on Saturday February 18th at our brand new branch of The Television and Movie Store, in the Maltings Shopping Centre, in St Albans, and thereafter both within store and if any stock remains, through our completely revamped website on our longstanding www.scificollector.co.uk platform, which will go live in early March.
The website will be the repository for approaching 1,000 lines of Doctor Who merchandise, old and new, by the time it is ready to unveil, and will become the primary focus of our refreshed and completely re-invigorated Doctor Who activity, as we approach the 60th Anniversary and the return of David Tennant.
Whilst much of what we carry will also be available in our stores in Norwich, Cardiff, Bristol, Cwmbran, Taunton, Hatfield and now St Albans, the shops simply don’t have the physical space to carry everything, so we have invested in a complete ‘cyberman style’ upgrade of the website we first launched back in 2005, and brought it into the modern world.
The first figure to finally see the light of day in St Albans is #216 Karvanista, which we will be launching at £14.99 in store. We will also have stock of the Cleaner Robot, and Tardis Consoles for the 9th and 10th Doctor and Junkyard 11th Doctor Editions in store as well on the day. We will have samples of some of the others available on view, so a visit is really worth the effort.
