In this exclusive release, we present an electronic version of the Third Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver with two sounds and spring loaded sound activation.
Underground Toys have revealed a brand new Doctor Who prototype at the San Diego Comic Con – The 3rd Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver …
The Description…
The Third Doctor spent much of this incarnation exiled on earth .
Sophisticated and elegant this Doctor was more of a pure scientist than his predecessors, surrounded by gadgets and vehicles.
But whether aiding UNIT against invasion or travelling to distant planets his kindness and belief in peace was rarely stronger.
The Sonic Screwdriver is a versatile tool and defensive device first used by the Doctor in his second incarnation for opening up hatches, panels and controls.
Later uses included cutting through all sections and even as a conventional screwdriver.
During the third Doctor’s exile on earth he had a larger and more elaborately detailed version, which had a decorated silver handle and black and yellow stripes. This version had even more functions including detecting security traps, remote detonation of mines, opening doors and restraints, creating ignition sparks and again removing screws and fixings.
Later still the fourth Doctor remade yet another similar style of sonic screwdriver but with many more features and functions including micro soldering or circuitry, cutting wires and bulkheads and even detonating Dalek explosives.

July 23rd, 2010 - 3:17pmI think this will be the new 11th Doctor TARDIS playset – prototype pics have already been leaked and can be seen on various sites. It doesnt look great…to be fair it’s not an easy TARDIS interor to replicate in playset form.

July 23rd, 2010 - 2:43pmWell that have said its not a figure, but that could mean its figures so to speak.
Many people were expecting a Delgado master and 3rd Doctor Twin pack of some sort
Peter
July 23rd, 2010 - 2:40pmI reckon its a Roger Delgado Master Fig.
What do you think? ❓
THE SEEKER42
July 23rd, 2010 - 2:19pmCould be anything, but not a figure. A TARDIS would be nice, but with it being UT it’ll be expensive especially for the console. The mahogany one would be awesome, and hopefully a little slot to put the TARDIS piece used in PoM.

July 23rd, 2010 - 2:07pmCould be a Sonic screwdriver set, now there’s a thought

July 23rd, 2010 - 1:52pmsome sort of masque of mandragora tardis because all the classic tardises have had the wrong light and key hole position that would only be right on a masque of mandragora tardis they did it with the jon pertwee and sylvester mccoy figures

July 23rd, 2010 - 1:49pmI assumed it was San Diego noon so about 8pm here
