June 9th, 2012 - 5:06pmI like these comics, by the way that picture of the Doctor REALLY looks like him, you could imagine him really wearing that detective outfit. 😉

June 8th, 2012 - 5:36pmDo you get any of them or does anyone recommend them?
Yeah I found out the five pound ones are about four of the others put together and the ongoing is just lots of separate soories isn’t it, so I don’t have to get the others to understand what’s happening

June 8th, 2012 - 5:37pmi have read some, i’m not a comic person but have found what i have seen very good

June 9th, 2012 - 12:01pmvol 11 is actually vol 2 and the reason it’s called that is because it features a different Doctor than the previous ongoing series. I’ve read all but one issue and I would reccomend it to anyone who’s a doctor who fan, though a good man goes to war decanonized issues 2, 3, and 4. And the original ongoing is a little lower quality, but I’d still reccomend that anyway. Both ongoings have an important part in that years annual that is very important to the series, especially in the original.

June 9th, 2012 - 12:09pmboth ongoings are now over, having only lasted 16 issues. vol 2 has thew eleventh doctor and the original has the 10th doctor. A Fairytale Life is not directly involved with the ongoing, as ongoing volume 2 features the eleventh doctor, amy, and rory, and A Fairtytale Life does not feature rory and takes place before ongoing volume 2. It is only four issues long, but is really high quality. I loved every bit of it. The full title of Star trek assumalation 11 is Star Trek: The Next Generation/ Doctor Who: Assimilation Squared.

June 9th, 2012 - 12:14pmAssimilation Squared is great for Who fans as well as Star Trek fans. Only one issue is out now but the series will last 8 isssues. Issue 1 is probably disappointing to Star Trek fans as there’s a tiny bit featuring the cybermen and the borg working together and then switching to the doctor, amy, and rory, until the last page of the comic’s only panel in which you see riker and data from star trek.
doctorwhofan27
June 9th, 2012 - 12:19pmAssimilation Squared actually seems to be more appealing to Doctor Who fans as it never leaves Doctor Who for a second, while it leaves Star Trek for most of the comic. Though we only have issue 1 of Assimilation Squared, it looks promising to me. All series came out monthly but only Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Asssimilation Squared is still running. IDW also had some good Doctor Who oneshots before and just a little after the original ongoing started, all featuring the tenth doctor.

June 9th, 2012 - 12:21pmThey also had the first comic appearance of the eleventh doctor is the 2010 annual and they reprint old DWM comics in color in a monthly comic, Doctor Who Classics, which is now on series 4. And that’s idw doctor who.

June 11th, 2012 - 10:00pmYou are aware that IDW are not connected to the production team of Doctor Who so they would have no access to any form of official information regarding broadcast dates.
I’m not even sure if any foreign broacasters (which they probablly are given they are from the US) then they certainyl shouldn’t have any information yet.
