Hero Collector’s definitive collection of 50 years of Doctor Who characters, faithfully rendered as resin models and accompanied by a magazine has a new additon to the Doctor Who Figurines Collection! The Dalek with Tea Tray Figurine is the latest addition to hit our Doctor Who Figurines Collection!
One of the more unusual Daleks, the khaki-coloured, wartime Daleks appeared in the 2010 adventure Victory of the Daleks. The Ironsides were part of a cunning plan by the last of the Daleks to ensure their continued survival. The key to their devious plan’s success is none other than the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), who must choose between his enemies’ existence or Earth’s history being torn apart. The story, written by Mark Gatiss, paid homage to films about the Second World War and Doctor Who’s The Power of the Daleks (1967), which also saw a Doctor trying to tell anyone who would listen that the Daleks who were acting servile were, in reality, the deadliest creatures in the universe!

June 1st, 2022 - 6:34pmWhat I cannot understand is if this is supposed to be with issue 220 why is it that issues, #216, #217, #218 & #219 are not available also?! – Presumably they are manufactured by the same factory, made in order of issue number and shipped with this special or before? Very strange – makes no sense to me if the outstanding issues are available why they cannot be sent until August/September 2022 time.

June 2nd, 2022 - 10:39amRare Daleks can be made at any point in the factory as most are not completely new sculpts. They are no doubt planned well in advance of being announced (usually not until someone receives theirs) and are easier to paint than most humanoid and alien figurines.
They will also work on a number of figurines at any time (across their whole range -not just DW) so I doubt they are done in the exact numerical order.
You’ve got to remember that until you pay for issue 219 you haven’t paid for the rare dalek fully which is why it won’t be sent out until 220 for Premium Subscribers.
The outstanding issues (216+) are not available otherwise there would have been no need to pause the subscription til September. The shop is missing 207+ because they don’t have the stock either.

June 1st, 2022 - 3:36pmPutting the subscriber issue aside, this Dalek is actually a fantastic representation! The head is even turned to the side slightly as if it’s looking at someone. Which is a new position not seen on the Eaglemoss Daleks before I think?

The rare daleks originally with a subscribers who paid more from issue 1 now non-subscribers complained that they couldn’t get hold of the rare daleks in the shop. Fair enough. Put them in the shop three or four behind the premium subscribers, but now it looks like the premium subscribers have been shoved right to the back of the queue which really is not on And ok yes we could buy it from the shop but why should we when that’s what we agreed in the first place is premium subscribers. I think eaglemoss should be a little bit ashamed of themselves. Fantastic darling though. Brilliant idea but radar like 19 before subscribers. Nope shouldn’t happen and I know I will get plenty of grief for saying this but it’s true that the end of the day the figurines are brilliant by the way…

A quick update for our subscribers!
We have received the stock for the Rare Dalek 19 – The Dalek with the Tea Tray, and this will be included in the shipment with issue 220.
If you are a Premium subscriber please wait for this delivery as you will receive it at a lower price, this item was listed by mistake on our shop yesterday and was removed as soon as we noticed.
Ordered it online, but want to cancel and wait for the subscription delivery? That’s also fine, please do not open the box once delivered so you can return it in saleable condition. Contact the Customer service team for return details. Once received we can issue a full refund or we can give you a gift card to use for another purchase.

I’m holding onto mine until I’ve definitely got my subscriber copy.
Eaglemoss will probably still have spares in case of damaged or missing ones for subscribers too (hopefully).
The ones on the shop are most likely spare inventory from those Premium Subscribers who have cancelled their subscriptions. Eaglemoss would have wanted to sell them on asap. Just a shame they couldn’t wait til Subscribers got theirs first but as a business they are probably finding it tough with all the shipping delays.

I was a subscription holder via newsagents but never got the chance to get hold of these until during COVID when I noticed some on eaglemoss shop with a few on Amazon.

I, myself am still wanting Issue 212 and thats only because i decided to cancel after i recieved the rare seismic detector dalek and shop with FP. In hindsight it was a wise decision but its unlikely the regular single releases from 216 will be seen for months yet regardless where you might have purchased. I would just keep reminding them with a monthly call before they appear in their shop.

June 1st, 2022 - 12:39pmDoug. Im not sure about vile but there are the odd condascending posters. Not what you would expect given the ‘be courteous and kind’ notice. Occasioally some do flit or migrate and eyes are on both pages but it can be very informative. I much prefer this merchandise guide.
