The Doctor’s multipurpose tool is a Gallifreyan device, with numerous settings, easily controlled at the press of his thumb. The Doctor has had many sonic screwdrivers of different designs throughout his life and now you can choose from four previous iconic designs.
The collection includes The Fifth Doctor’s, The Eighth Doctor’s, The Tenth Doctor’s and The Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver that all feature realistic sound FX. The Tenth and The Eleventh Doctors’ Sonic Screwdriver feature also feature light FX. Four to collect. One Supplied. Requires 3 x L1154 batteries (included). For ages 5 years and over.

January 13th, 2014 - 10:24pmSorry to be pedantic but you’re not the first person to say this so I can’t contain myself any longer, the sixth doctor didn’t have a laser screwdriver, or a sonic screwdriver, he had a Sonic Lance! There, I feel better now I’ve gotten that off my chest, and yes, they should release one.

January 13th, 2014 - 8:05pmSam Bentley, if I recall correctly in The Night of The Doctor although we see it quickly when The Eighth Doctor is scanning Cas with his Sonic Screwdriver his thumb isn’t pulling down on the collar so you can’t really see the piece the Emitter is connected to underneath so that’s why theirs the Button.

January 13th, 2014 - 5:36pmSaw these on Forbidden Planet’s website and immediately ordered the 5th and 8th Doctor’s Screwdrivers but didn’t see the point in getting the other 2. I’ve wanted an 8th Doctor Sonic for so long, I just hope it works the way it’s meant to with the pop out top and not just the same as the 3rd/4th/5th/war Doctor’s pull down top sonic mechanism.

January 13th, 2014 - 10:36pmI really hope the 8th sonic works with a button, but I doubt it will be spring loaded like the 11th sonic. I think including that mechanism would indicate a higher price. I would be satisfied without that if the sound activated with a button and not by holding it down.

The could do a 2nd Doctor Sonic Screwdriver, but not one for the 6th Doctor, because he never had a Sonic Screwdriver. Instead, in ‘Attack of the Cybermen’, he once used a Sonic Probe.
