With the Doctor wanting to repair the TARDIS in peace, his companions Barbara, Ian and Susan decide to get some experience of living in the nearby village of Salem. But the Doctor knows about the horrors destined to engulf the village and determines that they should leave.
Susan has her own ideas, and is desperate to return to Salem, whatever the cost. Yet her actions will lead them all into terrible danger, and cause the tragedy that is already unfolding to escalate out of control. Featuring the First Doctor, as played on TV by William Hartnell. July 25th, 2015 - 4:49pmThe Witch Hunters is one of the best Doctor Who novels ever written in my opinion. It was the first book I read in the Past Doctor Adventures series of books, after finding the 1998 edition in a charity shop a couple of years ago.
Not sure if I’ll buy the CD, but I’m sure it’s as good as the book.
