Ignorance is not bliss. It is the alien invader’s greatest advantage.
Tales of unearthly beings have long circulated among us, from legends of intelligent life on Earth before Homo Sapiens to conspiracy theories about what really happened at the Battle of Canary Wharf. But the truth is that alien life exists – and here, at last, is proof.
Based on exclusive access to classified government files, The Secret Lives of Monsters collects evidence that has been suppressed for centuries – notes from clandestine meetings, reports of eyewitness accounts, never-before-seen images and documents, secrets provided by a mysterious agent known only as ‘the Doctor’, and more. It reveals all we know about aliens who are already here, and provides essential information to survive future invasions.
So don’t panic. You are not weaponless. The Secret Lives of Monsters will give you the greatest weapon of all: knowledge.

October 19th, 2014 - 8:48amive seen this book. i will not be buying it as it is very basic and not factual enough for me as a whovian. i like doctor who books which give me info and facts about things you may not know. Too much of a joke this book, i read it in waterstones and will not buy it. however i will buy the how to be a time lord book though!

May 9th, 2014 - 11:41pmThis book looks brilliant, but that logo…
Its as if they are purposely making it evolve every season.
2010: Doctor DW Who (Blue)
2011: Doctor DW Who (Blue)
2012: Doctor Who DW (Blue, then White)
2013: Doctor Who DW (White)
2014: Doctor Who (Curved)
….

May 10th, 2014 - 11:05amThat’s one of the things I don’t really like from the Moffat era, things kept changing too much, from little things like the logo changing every episode in series 7 part 1 to big thing like the TARDIS, title sequence and costume changing in series 7 part 2. I think thing should try to remain constant in that doctors time (just my opinion 🙂 )

May 10th, 2014 - 4:27pmYou must hate three’s era. Different look to UNIT, TARDIS changing all the time, switched logos and different companions.

May 10th, 2014 - 4:55pmI love the third doctors era, nothing changed as much as it did in Smith’s era. UNIT was about the actors, you can’t expect actors to stay in the same role forever, same with companions therefore UNIT and companions changing doesn’t really bother me (unless I really liked the companions.
I never really noticed the TARDIS changing, it remained pretty much the same with roundels and all that. Finally I didn’t like the title sequence towards the end of Pertwee’s time, it made the doctor look too negative 😆 so that’s my only fault really.

May 9th, 2014 - 10:22pmNot keen on the new logo. To be honest I didn’t like the 2012-2013 silver one either as it looks really bland and generic. I prefer the blue of 2010 as at least it symbolises the TARDIS. I would like to see a return of the old Pertwee/McGann/50th Logo only maybe have it horizontal for books and vertical (like normal) for in the show and on merch. I hope this isn’t the final cover (or logo for that matter) as I find it unlikely that they would just use the 1st Capaldi publicity shot.

May 9th, 2014 - 4:14pm“The Secret Lives of Monsters” sounds like a channel 4 documentary 😆
But seriously does sound like a good book, probably won’t get as I imagine it just includes basic info but still good. Don’t like the new logo (if it is the new logo), doesn’t look as sleek…

May 9th, 2014 - 1:00pmIs this going to be a monster guide book or a new thing all together! I really want a full detailed book about all the doctor who monsters. The last good monster book was the ultimate monster guide which was released in 2009!
When The Doctor Was Me
May 9th, 2014 - 9:18amNew (ish) logo then! Looks more bold and streched out! Shame the tardis isignia has been dropped i loved that part of the previous!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
May 9th, 2014 - 3:00pmTo tell you the truth, I was never really a fan of that Tardis Insignia.
Shane
May 9th, 2014 - 4:10pmWhen they moved the insignia from the middle to end I was annoyed, but then after a while I preferred it that way and thought it looked cheesy in the middle (Like its saying “Doctor DW Who”. Now I think I will slowly realise it’s better without it all. The insignia is good but should be used separately as a logo.
76 Totters Lane
May 9th, 2014 - 5:24pmThey’ll probably still use the insignia on book spines and so on.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
