I received my copy yesterday, from.Amazon.

I’m really hoping that a future volume, will.reprint the non Who-related strips.

For.instance Jekyll and Hyde, and the War of the World’s.

Mine is coming today. I would love those classic tales. War was brilliant and I remember the invisible man being very well done.

Wonder how long this is going to take to actually turn up? Out today and no retailer has it in stock.

Why isn’t this available on panini’s website? I don’t like ordering these from Amazon as they never seem to get stock in in time. My last few orders took weeks to arrive

This will feature some unreleased material but it will feature seven previously released stories.
    abslom daak – dalek killer
    Star tigers
    Throwback (Kroton)
    Ship of fools (Kroton)
    Return of the daleks
    Death world
    Black legacy
But this is volume one, it is a full reprint of all back up strips so I don’t mind having them reprinted again. Would have preferred though for this to have been released before the dalek/cyberman volumes though.

The back-up strips in Dr Who Weekly/ early DW monthly are probably the best DW comic strips ever created. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these releases will be comprehensive and include Alan Moore’s contributions!

To be fair. The sales of those dalek collections last year probably resulted in these being greenlit for this year.

Good to see these released. Now, could they get onto the TV Comic/Action strips as well?

    Even the DW Adventures strips.

    I want it all.

Brill, but i bought a Dalek book from them last year because it had half this stuff in.

Not half, volume one had only one unpublished story (return of the daleks), volume two had one story (the first Cushing story) and cybermen had two unpublished stories (death world and black legacy) so hardly half considering the number of back up strips. Is it annoying that they didn’t do this first before releasing expensive collections with only a few newly published stories? Yes it is. But the vast majority of the back up strips have not been reprinted so I’m very happy this is coming out.

I think it only had one back-up strip in each of those Dalek volumes last year, so you’ll be getting a *lot* more here. However, I do appreciate that you and many of the rest of us but those volumes of reprints just for the back-up strips as we thought it might be the only way we could own them in cleaned-up, restored, reprint form. It would have been nice if they’d let us know that we didn’t need to as they were bringing this out. But then, I guess, half their sales for those volumes would have disappeared.

Ah well, we’ll just have to write off the money we wasted on the three reprint volumes (two Daleks and one Cybermen) and celebrate that these new volumes are happening.

Quite glad I waited now. It was tempting to get the Dalek and Cybermen books just for the new content, but I had more pressing calls on my wallet. I’ll definitely pick up these.

Rory, the Absolom daak stuff was also in The Daleks book that I bought

Yes the daak stuff was there but it had been collected previously in nemesis of the daleks.
