Doctor Who The Highlanders Red & Blue Vinyl LP

Doctor Who – The Highlanders (HMV Exclusive) 1921 Edition Translucent Red & Blue Vinyl

‘Do you wish to pray before you die?’ Demon Records presents, for the first time on vinyl LP, the complete narrated TV soundtrack of ‘Doctor Who: The Highlanders’, with linking narration by Frazer Hines.

The TARDIS materialises in 18th Century Scotland, in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden, and the Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Polly (Anneke Wills) and Ben (Michael Craze) are soon up to their eyes in history. Befriending a band of fleeing Jacobites, they’re enmeshed in the dangerous political tussle between two factions: those in favour of Bonnie Prince Charlie, and those against him.

First broadcast in December 1966 and January 1967, the story is notable for its introduction of Jamie McCrimmon (played by Frazer Hines) who would go on to be one of the Doctor’s longest serving TV companions. Presented in a widespine sleeve, these two 140g translucent discs (one red and one blue) feature the complete original soundtrack of the four-part BBC TV serial, now missing from the video archive. Two fully illustrated inner sleeves supply Radio Times-style billings for each episode.

TMs abit of an Enigma. Ive been buying Vinyl LPs off them for quite awhile now (Maybe a year). Recently I bought Two more LPs off them (Three or Four Weeks ago) mainly because I thought they were in Stock and would be sent straight out.
It usually says on the Individual pages something like “”was released in April 2021 or December 2019 etc etc” so I think oh, they’ve still got a few copies left. Has Soon as I buy these Copies I immediately get an Email with my Receipt saying ” Sorry these items are out of stock and we are trying has hard as possible to get more in stock”, usually with an estimated arrival date. (Which is usually months away).
This has happened to me every time I order from them.
I’m not complaining but I do find it abit odd for a retail shop to work like this.

It’s for the HMV vinyl week so I don’t think you can pre-order it.

Is this sold out as at 09/06/24, or can it just not be ordered until release date of 15/06/24?

Think it’s still up for pre-order. It’s definitely not sold out.
