Demon Records presents, for the first time on double 140g green and yellow translucent vinyl, the complete narrated TV soundtrack of ‘Doctor Who: The Crusade’, with linking narration by William Russell.
The TARDIS travellers materialise in 12th Century Palestine, where English Crusaders are engaged in a holy war with Saladin, ruler of the Saracens. When Barbara (Jacqueline Hill) is abducted in a Saracen ambush, the Doctor (William Hartnell), Vicki (Maureen O’Brien) and Ian (William Russell) find themselves guests at the palace of King Richard the Lionheart (Julian Glover).

First broadcast in March and April 1965, the story has become a noted classic among Doctor Who historical adventures, with a guest cast including Julian Glover and Jean Marsh. Only two of its four episodes survive in the BBC TV archive, but this vinyl release features the complete audio soundtrack. Includes beautifully illustrated individual sleeves featuring Radio Times-style billings for each episode.
This release is dedicated to the memory of narrator William Russell, who died in June aged 99. Doctor Who is available now on BBC iPlayer in the UK and on Disney+ in the rest of the world, where available.

September 23rd, 2024 - 11:51amJust Checked my Account today and it says it’s going to be delivered on the 8th of October. Is mine going to be late as usual or is that the release Date?
Cant tell the Release Date on Amazon, when I use this Link it just says it’s Sold Out (With No Release Date included)

October 6th, 2024 - 1:56pmYes MJS it can be totally Bonkers sometimes ordering off Amazon. (But a lot of Merchandise can be Amazon Exclusive, so sometimes we have no choice).
Ive had that problem before where you try to be loyal and regularly Pre-Order from them, then on release date your Account says it will be delivered the Week after. Where as on the Site if you order on release day you can have it delivered the next day.
Mine arrived this Morning totally out of the Blue.
I’m also having problems with the “Into the Vortex” Magazine, someone Commented on this Site it was released end of September but my Amazon account says it still hasn’t been despatched yet, it’s still showing as Order received.
Luckily because it’s happened for Years, I’m starting to get used to it now, LOL.

August 5th, 2024 - 2:56pmFor some reason Amazon won’t let you check out with this item. Once you progress from basket it states ‘This item is no longer available from your selected seller’.
Strange as Amazon are the seller, and there are no other sellers available….

August 1st, 2024 - 11:18amAlso…does anybody know whether these cover images are available in full anywhere? On the artist’s website perhaps? (I don’t even know who the artist is.) They are always sublime, but the recent ones have hidden half of them away behind the blue, which seems a real shame.

August 1st, 2024 - 4:38pmHello Fred, I’m not 100% sure about the Artist of the Crusade vinyl as it’s on pre-Order and I unfortunately don’t have it in hand.
But looking at my Copy of the Last Release “Highlanders”, it credits the Illustrations to Cady Keady and the Design and Layout by Dare Creative.
Looking at the Design of The Crusade, Highlanders and Edge of Destruction Vinyl Records i would say they are by the same Artist.

July 31st, 2024 - 5:46pmNow I’ve had a quick look at the last few Vinyl Releases, the Design is actually very similar to The Highlanders aswell as The Edge of Destruction. I wonder why and will all Future releases have the Same Design. (Keeping the Uniformity a bit like the Blu-Ray Collection)?
