Doctor Who Snakedance 5th Doctor Audio CD
Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk
A novelisation of a terrifying adventure for the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa.
The TARDIS arrives on the planet Manussa, about to commemorate its ancient banishment of the evil entity known as the Mara.
Unbeknownst to the Manussans, the Doctor’s companion, Tegan, has become an unsuspecting medium for the Mara. Now she has helped it to return home.
The Doctor realises that this could mark the spectacular revival of the Mara’s reign of terror – but it seems that no-one will heed his warning.

May 19th, 2024 - 6:32pmI’ve made my own AUC ! Recorded on Logic on my Mac and although its far from the quality of the pros it does the trick. And fills an annoying gap. Hopefully one day Ill be able to bin it.
Can’t wait for the classic series range to end. It has been such a journey since that initial tin with the 3 Hartnells in. How far we’ve all come.

January 17th, 2024 - 10:19pmThere’s also a wealth of nu-who stories to be novelised and then released on audio.
It would be great to continue with the 2005 stories + carrying on the trend of this great story telling and like me encouraging new readers.
A great legacy of Terrance Dicks and all those other past great writers.

January 18th, 2024 - 12:46amI worked out that if you realised one new nu who book a month it would take 12 years to catch up to 2024’s stories. And then youd still be 11 odd years behind!

January 18th, 2024 - 12:49amI have loved the new range of target books. We definitely need an increase in the release rate. Personally I would rather see target books than original fiction these days. I think we will see the recent Fraser Hines evil of the daleks book become a target paperback. Church is out in paperback in July so I think evil will be out then too. Hopefully with three or four new books.

January 17th, 2024 - 3:07pmUnfortunately an unearthly child is unlikely to be done either as the Terrance dicks original or the 2013 nigel Robinson rewrite due to the ongoing copyright issues with coburn’s family. There are 7 target books published outside of the main adaptations.
The nightmare fair (out)
The ultimate evil
Mission to magnus
Slipback
Turlough and the EarthLink dilemma
Harry Sullivan’s war (out)
K9 and company (out)
Others with the target logo are…
The pescatons (novel)
Power of the daleks (out)
Evil of the daleks (John peel 1993)
Paradise of death

January 17th, 2024 - 3:09pmYeah I am aware of the Turlough one. Was just curious to know how many novelisations were left. They gonna have to start finding more non novelisations to do audiobooks of now.

January 17th, 2024 - 3:46pmSo going by that list Anon we probably only have a few years before they run out.

January 17th, 2024 - 6:30pmCan’t see it being more than two to three years unless they really slow the releases down.

January 17th, 2024 - 7:29pmHopefully they will start focusing on Virgin books stuff as well as Past and Eighth Doctor Adventures books after they finish all the Target stuff.

January 17th, 2024 - 7:47pmHi all. I suppose these original novelisations are slowed a little. we have The 3 Specials out Feb(on audiobook) As Target novel Audiobooks.
Ruby Road in Hardback/Audiobook Jan 24 Paperback July 24( which Traditionally is when we get a batch of New Target Book, plus the Audiobooks. So the Target Books audiobook range is flowing ,even if it’s not Classic Who
Slipback Was an official 6th Doctor and Peri series With Colin and Nicola. So should be classed as Target Audio novelisation. So I would hope to get that sooner rather than later.
