I love the final part of Hunter’s, where it is revealed that it was the Eleventh Doctor who rendered the TARDIS in it’s iconic blue box form. Loved having Ian and Barbara back and loved how the writers finally closed off their stories by having them marry at the end.

Hang on, is this just Hunters on its own? The graphic novels normally contain more than one story, normally a series of stories with an arc connecting them. But then again, how long will Hunters go on for? What’s going on Booboo?

I think Hunters of the Burning Stone is 6 parts, so finishes in June. If it’s due in September, then I expect that it’s the only story in it. Does seem a bit strange, doesn’t it?

It’s probably from Sticks and Stones onwards

Probably just ‘Hunters’ because of the change in page size in DWM this year. Otherwise ‘Hunters’ would have to be resized to fit with the others. Plus, its quite long in itself – 72 pages plus introduction, storyboards and a commentary. It’ll be slimmer than the others but still a decent size I’d think. Maybe they’ll include one or two other strips since there are 2 or 3 more DWMs due after Hunters finishes.

      Addressing The Nemesis

These graphic novels only collect the comics, they aren’t special editions of the magazine or anything really to do with teh normal magazine other than taking the comics. The format of the magazine has nothing to do with these (unless it affects the comic strip itself).

I know this. Thing is, the whole format of DWM changed, including the comic strip page size. The pages are now wider and smaller. Therefore, if they were to collect it with the others, they’d have to re-size it all to fit with the previous comics. Hope this helps.

Never really enjoyed the comics… but I have been really liking this one! Maybe it is all the old references? I am a little disappointed with the cover. Actually, I’m VERY disappointed with the cover. Oh well…

This is just a cover to go on it until it’s released. Remember the ‘Nemesis of the Daleks’ graphic novel had a different cover?

It is 6 parts as it has been said in the mag, however there should be more parts to take it up the anniversary to really make it an anniversary comic strip.

Have to admit, Ive seriously loved this comic-strip and I absolutely hope the 6th and final part in the next issue of Doctor Who Magazine is a epic ending.

I don’t think Ive enjoyed the comic-strips this much since the final 8th Doctor comic-strip with extremely advanced Cybermen from the future in ‘The Flood’, which have been featured in this comic-strip.

I actually thought, when I read the first part of this story, that it was just gonna be some ordinary comic-strip in Doctor Who Magazine, but instead that has been a very special story

      [CONTINUED]

to celebrate 50th years of Doctor Who, and I’m so proud that Ian and Barbara have re-meet the Doctor after all these years, and that so much of the shows history has been drawn into the comic-strip, such as the 4th Doctor holding them wires in ‘Genesis of the Daleks’.

I look forward to Clara’s debut comic-strip in Doctor Who Magazine once this current comic-strip is over πŸ˜‰

50/50 for Hunters of the Burning Stone πŸ˜€
