Louise Jameson reads this novelisation of a classic TV adventure for the Fourth Doctor, Leela and K9.
The TARDIS materialises on a spaceship at the edge of the known universe, and the Doctor, Leela and K9 encounter a group of astronauts searching for the lost gene bank of the Minyan race. The craft plunges into the heart of a recently formed planet, wherein the Doctor discovers an awesome secret: the descendants of a previous Minyan expedition have become enslaved to a powerul computer!
A dangerous quest leads to a confrontation with the Oracle, at the heart of a fabled crashed spaceship, the P7E.
Louise Jameson, who played Leela in the BBC TV series, reads Terrance Dicks’s novelisation of a 1978 serial by Bob Baker & Dave Martin.

October 10th, 2020 - 10:56pmHhmmmm, I remember this one well on the book shop shelves… Would have preferred the Loch Ness Monster, Revenge of the Cybermen, Android Invasion, Power of Kroll or Destiny of the Daleks… With Underworld being released, we may be a step closer to having some of the more popular Fourth Doctor titles being released hopefully. Some are long overdue! Do keep the range going, they are brilliant!!! Fantastic to listen to on a wet winter’s night!

October 8th, 2020 - 4:09pmExcept for completion, and the few who like it, this isn’t going to sell well and if it does, then not many are going to listen to it. I guess you can’t hear blue screen.
Also why is it Doctor Who and The Underworld, is it a mistake in the listing, or is this another Silurians situation I haven’t known about?
