Differences: blister packaging, card front, card, back, head of astronaut.
Similarities: if retained in packaging, there is the possibility with visor down that you see neither.
I have not bought River Song new hair style in blister pack because I have it in recent TRU 6 pack, but Astronaut River Song scrapes through as a valid permutation to buy alone and I would put it at same level as the differences between one face and the two faced “Smiler”.

I always order from FP – they are not the quickest (although not usually this slow) but they are very trustworthy…although they do also take their time to respond to emails.

November 4th, 2011 - 11:26pmCharacter are cheap, they make the same figures over and over again but just with minor differences for example, Riversong wth coat, riversong without coat, riversong with two extra strands of hair. and the same figures released again but jut with flesh.

I totally agree about the risks of duplication. As I cannot see inside either Astronaut, I have to rely on the pack.

November 4th, 2011 - 6:47pmI managed to get four of these from FP this afternoon. The two Cyberman versions, the River Song-headed Astronaut and a Silence. Amazing to think that a few days ago these were unknown of and today FP have some in. Luckily there is a “Series 6” bit on the packaging now which makes all these near identical permutations slightly clearer. I am watching the packaging carefully as the last wave was not sealed properly which for me is disappointing as I never open them.

River astronaut comes with just the flesh packet
