cyberman2
May 21st, 2013 - 7:02pmive just noticed when i watched cold war today the ice warrior creature had sort of tentacles when it ran in vents and past people and the figurine are missing them 😆
McGann is the Doctor
May 22nd, 2013 - 11:54amif I’m perfectly honest, that figure IS NOT the Ice Warrior creature.
it doesn’t move like a man in the episode and as you mentioned, it had tendrils.
KORSAIR
May 22nd, 2013 - 2:42pmThought that myself.
cyberman2
May 23rd, 2013 - 4:01pmtoo be honest character options are getting quite sloppy these days. in 2010 they were getting more detail but now look at they’re creation of the ice warrior creature. most inaccurate figure this year. but the actual figures are good (still not as detailed) by the way getting the cybermen. I LOVE CYBERMEN (as you can see from my name 🙂 )
booboo
May 23rd, 2013 - 4:03pmthey wouldn’t have done this deliberately, my guess is they only had drawings to work from and by the time the cgi was finalised the figure had been tooled and it was to late to change it

May 20th, 2013 - 9:48pmIf they made porridge in the new scale he would be soooo small
Hellbelly
May 21st, 2013 - 4:46pmHe wouldn’t be that small, the Wicket W Warwick Ewok figure from Star Wars is a good two and a quarter inches high (he also was played by Warwick Davis) 🙂
KORSAIR
May 22nd, 2013 - 2:45pmDon’t bet on anything off your list sunshine,CO tend to make really odd choices when it comes to figures.
Joe
May 20th, 2013 - 9:09pmIt would be awesome if we had at pasternoster gang set with Vashta (the crimson horror), Strax (in suite) and Jenny

Joe
May 20th, 2013 - 6:44pmI hope the next wave is a build figure wave where you build the Tricerotops from Dinosaurs on a spaceship
Here they are
1 Dr (A town called mercy)(Head) (Note: horns not included with other figures)
2 Amy (The power of three) (1st half of body)
3 River (Angels take manhattan) (2nd half of body)
4 Damaged 60s dalek (1st front leg)
5 Gunslinger (2nd front leg)
6 Snowman (1st back leg)
7 Clara (Journey to the centre of the tardis)(2nd back leg)

Strax = further base
Whispermen double pack (interchangeable Dr. Simeon head) =Support for glass
Clara ( JTTCOFT)and time zombie double pack = glass tube
Clara Dalek with chain = Dalek Priminister mutant creature to sit inside tube (could be bought for other purposes if you didn’t want to build the Priminister because iit comes with mutant)
Riversong = top of tube
Metallic blue dalek with control panel that stands by Priminister
Metallic red dalek (same as above)
Jordan
May 23rd, 2013 - 9:10pmThat’s A good idea but I still think it should be A dinosaur never had one from doctor who it could be intressting
Dalek The Supreme
May 28th, 2013 - 1:44pmI think it should be the first one but with the metallic red or metallic blue Dalek
Rooners
May 20th, 2013 - 4:36pmInteresting to note that they have reverted back to “The Doctor” on the packaging rather than indicating the number…I wonder if this has anything to do with the new John Hurt Doctor changing all the numbering…?
Also, what is the little statue in the photo with the Master…is tha from another set?
booboo
May 20th, 2013 - 4:46pmcherub from the (yet to be officially announced|) Angels in manhaatne set
GallifreyRules
May 20th, 2013 - 5:00pmThe cherub looks to be in scale with the 5″ figures – does that means the Angels Take Manhattan set will be 5″? The cherubs look far too big to go with the 3.75″ figures!
booboo
May 20th, 2013 - 5:06pmno def 3.75″
Dalek The Supreme
May 20th, 2013 - 7:17pmI think it’s because, like David Tennant in the 5 inch, Matt Smith is the first Doctor to be released in the line of figures.
KORSAIR
May 20th, 2013 - 2:26pmJust checked and Argos is still charging £25.99 for the Tardis, this has to be far too over priced.
booboo
May 20th, 2013 - 1:37pmi would wait until we have seen the others sets
jaketorwho
May 20th, 2013 - 12:43pmIve decided not to collect anymore, not because the new size because they look alright. Just because i don’t have the money to do it anymore. I still look forward to the announcements of things though. If i do get enough i may consider just the doctor, clara and tardis interior (when its out). Also as these are now 3.75″ it means you can do a crossover with the star trek sets and indiana jones and many more. Lets just hope the TARDIS playset is not all cardboard surrounding and has an opening door again!
timelord22
May 20th, 2013 - 8:23amOne good thing about the new scale is that it means bigger characters can be made without them being ridiculously big e.g. Statue of Liberty Angel.
Anonymous
May 20th, 2013 - 11:29amThat’s still far too big at this scale. It doesn’t help that much on that sort of scale, it really just brings in more playsets and possibly vehicles.
Dalek The Supreme
May 20th, 2013 - 3:43pmI hope and pray for a Dalek Battle Saucer if they do make vehicles.
trenzalore
May 20th, 2013 - 7:49ami don’t know wheather to leave them in the box or take them out. What are other people doing?
MasterKasterborous
May 20th, 2013 - 3:10pmI really don’t understand what the point is of keeping them in the box and in mint condition just to sell on! They’re toys! Toys are for playing with!!!
Scott the Raptor
May 20th, 2013 - 3:22pmI didn’t take my Time Crash set out of the box but I don’t understand what the point is of keeping thesein the box is. They’re not rare or anything.
Dalek The Supreme
May 20th, 2013 - 3:45pmI’d keep them out of the box. That way you can actually play with them, and even if you don’t like playing with them, it allows you to actually put them into poses when displaying them.
Luke
May 20th, 2013 - 4:54pmIm taking them out, I will be using them in animations etc
Dalek The Supreme
May 20th, 2013 - 7:18pmHe gives shout outs now, shout outs are cool! 😎
Vastra Jenny strax
May 20th, 2013 - 9:55pmI will keep 1 of each in their box but the rest of them I will leave on display
Trenzalore1502
May 22nd, 2013 - 11:56pmI will be removing them. I love dr who action figures. If ur just a collector it’s still better to get these out of box cus of the new display stands.
trenzalore
May 24th, 2013 - 7:17pmthanks guise!
i think i will take them out then 🙂

May 19th, 2013 - 11:11pmI am an established collector myself for years I’ve collected the 5 inch range however I have to say These figures are actually alright and I ”might” get these figures I’m not sure yet, but they look absoulutely brill……not sure why the 5 inch range went of business?
Anybody know the release date for this range and the price?
Dalek The Supreme
May 19th, 2013 - 11:22pm1. They went out of business because retailers were losing interest, 2. Somewhere around the end of the month, and 3. 7 pounds for a figure, 10 pounds for a playset, and 13 pounds for the TARDIS.
Trenzalore1502
May 22nd, 2013 - 11:58pmForbidden Planet release them on 29th May apparently. Hope that helps
TheWhoMeister
May 25th, 2013 - 1:24pmthank you for the info guys! like I said I ‘might’ get these figures but I really have my eye on The 10th Doctor and crucible Dalek set…it’s a must get for me!
Doctor Stu
May 19th, 2013 - 10:25pmGot a problem! I’ve just got £10 off my Mom and Dad because its my Brothers birthday today and they give us money on each others birthday just so we don’t feel left out so im gonna buy the Ice Warrior play set with that £10 and pre-order three figures with my own money but I don’t know which ones to get for definite. I was thinking Ice Warrior, Dalek and Cyberman but I’m not sure. I don’t want to pre order the Doctor and Clara because I want to make sure I get detailed faces so I’d rather see those in the shops with my own eyes. What shall I do

May 19th, 2013 - 8:20pmbecause some shops only care about the money
Jordan
May 20th, 2013 - 6:00pm£25:99 for a bluming tardis box I mean what the hell absolutely never buying that from Argos. We can buy A tardis playset now for £19:99! Honestlly that is absolutly shocking!
KORSAIR
May 20th, 2013 - 6:30pmThey’ll never shift them at that price,so everyone sit back and wait for the price drop.

May 19th, 2013 - 5:51pmI would like a slitheen sycorax ood and moffats daleks in new range
Jordan
May 20th, 2013 - 6:02pmI want quite a few but mainly the main monsters but would love to see origanal asylum daleks from the 60’s that we be great! Also some companions like Rose Tyler, Amy Pond, Donna Noble and Martha Jones. A 10th doctor would be great to! 🙂
Andrew
May 20th, 2013 - 7:24pmIt’s a given that we’ll be getting Rose Tyler, the Tenth Doctor, John Hurt and a Zygon in the new range. To not make figures of the 50th anniversary would be an incredibly dumb move on the part of Character Options.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
May 19th, 2013 - 5:04pmwhen willl these be on the character website? i ordered from fp, but i paid a fiver for packaging! on chracter, if you spend over £25, the packaging is free!

May 19th, 2013 - 8:44pmYou’re lucky you don’t live in Ireland. 😛 They charge a minimum of £8 and it rises to £18 extremely quickly.

DALEKSKITTLES
May 19th, 2013 - 5:03pmWow that’s amazing!! 😀 I also think a rare should be Clara in Victorian clothes with great intellagance snow ball thing (you know what I mean 😉 ) And also a good rare would be the Dalek puppets in the paraliment?
Scott the Raptor
May 19th, 2013 - 5:06pmThanks! Yes I put those suggestions in, but I didn’t have enough remaining words!
DALEKSKITTLES
May 19th, 2013 - 5:14pm😀
Doctor 909
May 19th, 2013 - 7:37pmYou need to get a job at character or tell them your ideas
Dalek The Supreme
May 19th, 2013 - 8:44pmFantastic! Though I would have the Doctor in his old costume in the wave and the T-Rex and an old Cyberman in the playsets.
Scott the Raptor
May 19th, 2013 - 9:31pmA t-Rex would be pointless. It was far too small in the episode. I know it was a baby one but still. The Doctor in old costume is a good idea! But they don’t do pose able figures in the Playsets.
Jordan
May 20th, 2013 - 6:05pmI love the wave 2 you suggested but I think An Amy Pond would be better than the grandfather also maybe some classic asylum daleks for rares. I would love one of them in the unfortunet new 3,75 inch scale

May 19th, 2013 - 3:48pmboo boo do you know what the cherub is?

TomWho
May 19th, 2013 - 3:04pmI think CO will be able to make greatfigures from all epidsodes on series 7 parts 1 and 2:
Doctor-top hat
Clara- many variations such as ‘cold war’ outfit
Vastra
Strax
Jennie
Most of the characters from ‘nightmare in silver’ including the anti cyberman gun(if thats what its called
Simeon
some aliens and the speeder from ‘the rings of Akhaten’
Artie and Angie
Some figures from ‘the Crimson Horror’
Many more can also be made!!!!!
FigureCollecter31
May 19th, 2013 - 2:51pmI think they should do a ‘name of the doctor’ set, which comes with:
Doctor
Clara
Whisper man
Vastra
Jennie
Strax
River
Dr Simeon
TomWho
May 19th, 2013 - 3:06pmThe Strax could also include the device he used to revive Jennie
DrWhoFan1
May 19th, 2013 - 1:23pmCO should produce a set called ‘The Impossible Girl’ which features:
Oswin Oswald – Asylum Outfit
Clara Oswin Oswald – Miss Montague
Clara Oswald – Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
And another set called ‘The Paternoster Row Gang’ which features:
Madame Vastra – The Name of The Doctor
Jenny – Catsuit
Starx – The Snowmen
Kroton
May 19th, 2013 - 1:24pmThat’s exactly what I want!
DrWhoFan1
May 19th, 2013 - 2:43pmI would be willing to pay £0 – £30 if they release these. We are sooooo in sync. LOL! These are really good outfits as well so I hope they do! Come on CO, we believe in you (for the first time in ages!)
Dalek The Supreme
May 19th, 2013 - 3:02pmI’d prefer to see Strax in his Sontaran armour so he can be used as another Sontaran, but either way we do need a Paternoster gang set!
Scott
May 19th, 2013 - 12:10pmHi, so does anyone know when these will be available in the forbidden planet at Shaftesbury Avenue, is it the 29th like the website or not, would rather quickly ask here than ring them up just yet
DALEKSKITTLES
May 19th, 2013 - 11:15amThey should do a
Dalek asylum set with broken daleks with chains
Pure Dalek paradigm set (I can’t spell it lol!)
new cyberman set With 3 cyberman and Clara with anti cyber weapon
Strax, nashra (is that how you spell it?) and Jenny with two whisper men
Clara and doctor with a red crimson horror and mr sweet (parasite)
What do you guys think?
Doctor Stu
May 19th, 2013 - 11:21amIf you see the Star Wars sets they have huge AT-AT’s etc that are in scale with the 3,75″ figures for about £100 so imagine what they could do with the Doctor Who Range. It would b absolutely amazing if they released an actual Dalek Asylum playset or a full size, scale submarine for the ice warrior. It’s possible
DALEKSKITTLES
May 19th, 2013 - 11:25amThat would be awesome ! Maybe a Dalek paraliment set as well! ?
Doctor Stu
May 19th, 2013 - 2:07pmYeh with millions of Daleks (lol) I’d love a Statue of Liberty set
Dalek The Supreme
May 19th, 2013 - 3:03pmI’d think a Dalek Supreme/Dalek PM pack, Amy and Rory pack from TATM, and the Paternoster Gang would be great.
