May 15th, 2012 - 11:32pmI don’t think so the silent with a open mouth, pandorica guard and cyber leader weren’t on display so its very unlikely there’ll be Argos exclusive. I like the idea of a Rory handbot maybe they could do a hand bot with the Mona Lisa round its head as well.

April 7th, 2012 - 7:15pmThe Black Dalek probably won’t be a Super Rare, they normally don’t reveal them until after a Series is released. Though I do reckon it will be one of the rarer Series 3 Figures.

April 8th, 2012 - 7:54amI think the whole super rare thing is a very bad idea, kids without much money will never be able to buy them on ebay, I think its a mistake because if you have no or little chance of getting them all( a complete set of figs ) I think most kids will give up trying to collect. And the only winners in the whole super rare thing are the ebayers.
I have a large DrWho CB collection because I am a adult I have the cash to buy what I want.
The LEGO minifigs have no super rare figs, a few harder to find than the others.

April 8th, 2012 - 9:42amLegoAvon, I totally agree. Being a fan of Character Building Doctor Who myself I really would like Super Rares and especially River Song and Hologram Angel. But I could never afford it, being a child.
Plus, why don’t other ranges of Character Building have Super Rares?
Getting a full collection of Doctor Who Character Building is hard enough let alone having Super Rares.
This makes me very upset, not even having a whole collection.

April 8th, 2012 - 1:17pmi also agree Lego Avon. i am 11 and was on ebay once. i had £30 to spend. a seller had found a various figures + raggedy doctor not knowing how rare it was. i was winning at £10 5 mins before, then the price shot up to £70. my last chance for that doctor. also, geeks (like me) will want to have it all but i’ve realised that most are almost exactly the same (so no longer bothered(good advice, i think)). also annoyed about rares. have got none apart from riversong from tardis set

To bring out anything for the Ninth and Tenth Doctors requires a classic lisence to be obtained from the BBC so they don’t really have an excuse, especially as the Ninth Doctor’s era is well out of the age range of their target audience (the upper limit would have peole who were two when he left).

1. The CyberSlime
Why: The flesh collection was stupid enough but getting a super common Eleventh Doctor with some cheap slime? That’s totally different. At least the Flesh collection had unique pieces! But I suppose it’s good for beginner collectors.
2. TARDIS De-materialisation Set
What? It’s just a re-issue of the TARDIS set but with less detail and a revamped Doctor and Amy figure. I’m not going to be paying £10 for a see-through cheap set.
All the others are amazing.

As for the TARDIS De-Materialisation set, well, I kind of like it. If they were to give us Amy and Rory from The Doctor’s Wife though (no connection, I just really want figures of them from that episode), then it would be a bit better.

Dear Booboo Jr
I write in response to your recent e mail.
May I firstly confirm that the rumours you have heard are rumours and Character Options have not been bought out by Hasbro.
I can also confirm that the Character Building Dr Who products have a release date of June 2012.
Unfortunately, we have no official information to release at this moment in time in respect of our 5″ figures and the Daleks seen on display at the London Toy Fair…

April 3rd, 2012 - 8:09amWell, last time the first mega sets were released late July however, the TARDIS console room wasn’t released till September to coincide with the launch of Series 2 figures. Perhaps this is what will happen again. After all, there are only two mega sets shown above, so maybe the other one will be released with Series 4.
