I really want this! It’s a shame they couldn’t be bothered to put an insert in for us! Times must be hard!

nothing about can’t be bothered, and yes times are hard in the toy industry

I’ve just picked one up from the forbidden planet flagship store in London. They currently have a lot of stock.

No problem. Glad I could help. I think she looks wonderful. I only bought one, but I might buy another to open and display.

I’ve been looking all over the internet for the custom interior card that was linked on Twitter, but I can’t seem to find it again. I don’t suppose anyone would have a link to one?

I have got one here but i need someone to print it out to make sure its works (it works for me fine)

      Why

    • BeeversMaster

      February 6th, 2020 - 1:57pm

booboo, I would be happy to test print it as I am getting it so it would be nice to use it for my one.

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 2:12pm

      right click and save image

this is designed to print out straight onto A4 with no adjustments needed, what I’m looking for is the distance between the 2 solid lines should be 75mm and the height of the background 150mm

you score down the solid lines to get a neat fold then cut out, it should fit exactly just tucked behind the doors but may make the windows look odd, can be fiddly so you can trim if required

i also have one with the sides oversized so you can custom fit it

    • BeeversMaster

      February 6th, 2020 - 2:42pm

Will print it off onto my Gloss A4 paper when I get home and have access to my printer.

What would be the possibility Booboo that you could make a new page on the site with some backgrounds for the B&M Tardis’ Sets? Im sure many of us would be incredibly greatful 🙂

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 3:02pm

i might i just want to make sure these fit first

      February 6th, 2020 - 3:28pm

Question which might sound odd. Is the roof hollow on the inside?

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 3:49pm

      no its flat inside

    • Anonymous

      February 6th, 2020 - 4:20pm

Thanks booboo. Was thinking of adding a small orange led and battery pack to illuminate it a little.

    • BeeversMaster

      February 6th, 2020 - 5:04pm

Just to confirm booboo, the insert printed out just fine on my printer and the measurements were almost spot on. It was wider by about a fraction of a millimeter but otherwise it is spot on height wise.

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 5:09pm

that’s fine should still fit width-ways, there was a bit of play to allow for those who wanted to stick to card if using paper just wanted to make it is as easy as possible for people.

      February 6th, 2020 - 5:11pm

Ah gotcha. Well I cant wait to get the new tardis. Looking forward to battling with the tardis to get the interior card to stay in.

  • BeeversMaster

    February 6th, 2020 - 11:01am

Just ordered this from Character Online. Hoping the delivery is quick because they didnt specify how long it will take to be sent. I only have a few more TARDISes to get until I have all of them.

  • Gallifrey Falls No More

Does anyone know what the delivery time is in uk?

  • Judooning

    February 6th, 2020 - 9:35am

Nice surprise for this to be released early. Although i was looking forward to receiving a big box with everything in at once like the good old days haha.

In the picture it has an interior card does the tardis have one

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 8:26am

no it has custom background on it, we will have images you can print out

  • Daz

    February 6th, 2020 - 1:36am

I was going to dive on this for my Tardis set once it came out but it took so long since Jodie’s first appearance I couldn’t wait and I made my own. This is still nice but I don’t know if I want to get it now as my Jodie Tardis is more accurate than this one and has an interior background too so I wouldn’t be replacing it.
I’m glad they made it though and as they are cutting costs it’s the only way to go I guess, shame as they never really did better than the original 10th Doctor Tardis which has light up signs and everything since then the later Tardis toys were never made as good.
    I’m after the figures though!

  • Anonymous

    February 6th, 2020 - 12:27am

Booboo, have you inserted your own interior card into the TARDIS yet? If so is it possible you can share some photos please

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 7:09am

yes, I’ve added one above but will be putting up a proper post with backgrounds people will just be able to print out (i Hope!)

  • Simplyzak

    February 5th, 2020 - 7:50pm

I really would order this now, but £5.50 is definitely holding me back.
However Character online isn’t much better and amazons estimated 1-3 months is off putting.

was really hoping Argos would sell these and show them in the new catalogue

    • booboo

      February 5th, 2020 - 7:55pm

many people would have ordered the figures as well so will pay 5.50 regardless.

Amazon may get stock much sooner as clearly these have arrived.

I’m pleased in a way – spreads the cost out a tad.

  • Mark Belsom.

    February 5th, 2020 - 1:49pm

Looks like Forbidden Planet have got the Tardis early plus there’s some on ebay already.

    • booboo

      February 5th, 2020 - 1:57pm

noticed that, wonder if they wait for the figures before sending everything out

    • Mark Belsom

      Maybe.

      February 5th, 2020 - 4:17pm

    • mick

      February 5th, 2020 - 5:05pm

me to, was hoping it would be all sent at the same time at the end of the month

    • The Werewolf

      February 5th, 2020 - 11:52pm

Forbidden Planet has always done this. When I preordered Star Wars figures from them in the past, they sent each item out as it came in stock. I wish they wouldn’t though.

    • JRT!

      February 6th, 2020 - 5:28am

Says it’s in stock on Amazon UK as well, and has been for a couple of days.

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 7:08am

dont think Amazon have it, there are a couple of 3rd party sellers that might

    • JRT!

      February 6th, 2020 - 5:41pm

Yeah, you can get it through 3rd party sellers within two weeks, apparently, while Amazon will ship it within a month or two, lol! Hoping to see the figs and Tardis while in London for the con at the end of the month.

Tardis, dalek and graham ordered from forbidden planet .com

  • The Living Shadow

    January 27th, 2020 - 1:50pm

Maybe they should have a picture of the interior on the packaging that we can then cut out and stick in the Tardis box itself, in order to save costs and still give people what they want!

    • Exterminator

      January 30th, 2020 - 10:01pm

      Thats a great idea.

  • GallifreyanKnight

    January 26th, 2020 - 12:06am

It’s such a shame that this doesn’t match the superior prototype.

There’s just so many things wrong with it.

      Picky?????

    • Anonymous

      February 2nd, 2020 - 8:28pm

Just be glad we got one because without the classic boxes it would be even more inaccurate

    • Anonymous

      February 6th, 2020 - 7:14pm

Not picky at all, it’s a fact that this box is extremely innacurate

    • booboo

      February 6th, 2020 - 7:21pm

which many people understand this was the only way it was going to get released.

It was this or nothing basically.

  • Pls tell me

    January 25th, 2020 - 9:21am

This is a stupid question but is this going to be in b&m

    • booboo

      January 25th, 2020 - 9:37am

not normally but i wonder if they might keep some of the news stuff now

Will Argos order 13th doctor tardis and figures

    • Anonymous

      January 29th, 2020 - 2:06pm

      No 13th tardis at argos

  • dazzleshell

    January 24th, 2020 - 11:53am

I guess the inside doesn’t light up either like the old NewWho Tardis’. Shame. I’ll be waiting for a price drop.

They really missed a trick not having a ‘Cut Out’ interior picture on the back of the box rather than have to print one elsewhere.

    • Matt

      January 24th, 2020 - 1:01pm

      It’s £25 – £30 on Forbidden Planet

    • Anonymous

      January 27th, 2020 - 1:42pm

I don’t mind not having a cut out inside, cause I don’t think you ever see it in the show, right?

  • Adam

    January 23rd, 2020 - 6:40pm

Hmmm £24.99? Plus shipping looking at almost £30! I really don’t know :/

    • Grant

      January 23rd, 2020 - 7:43pm

Yes I agree £24.99??? Mmm think I’ll pass for the minute pre ordered all the figures though!

    • Exterminator

      January 24th, 2020 - 10:54am

We’ve been spoilt with the B&M Tardis’s for less than twenty quid which also come with a figure.

All that extra money just for an electronic sound chip and a light bulb? Plus £5.50 p&p from fp, I’ll wait to see if these can be picked up from Argos I think.

      January 25th, 2020 - 10:03pm

  • Andy

    January 23rd, 2020 - 5:37pm

Will Amazon.co.uk sell this? (your comment, “realised by someone” to DoctorBendisco indicates that you think this won’t be sold by Amazon (?)

    • booboo

      January 23rd, 2020 - 5:47pm

I was referring to a 3rd party seller if Amazon dont sell it themselves but then they only tend to go up for order when they have the physical stock.

I dont know if Amazon themselves will be stocking these

  • John Kelly

    January 22nd, 2020 - 9:19pm

in shops and online, due late February

      28th February

  • Anonymous

    January 22nd, 2020 - 5:04am

It’s a retooled classic box so don’t expect window lighting or an interior card

  • The Ergon

    January 22nd, 2020 - 12:41am

This is ok if it has the electronic TARDIS sound effects but it looks a bit basic and doesn,t grab me. It would be great if you could get the inlay stickers for the inside to ‘set it off’.

      cost.

  • Daz

    January 21st, 2020 - 11:05pm

It’s nice I like it, but this version won’t have the scale of the bigger modern boxes when put with them if they are using the existing classic box.
I notice there are no cuts in the top and bottom of the posts which are unique to this Tardis and the windows should have that corrugated pattern but if this is the only way to make it for the cost I happy they mad it as close as possible.
I might buy it to display in the box but I prefer my custom 13th Tardis as it’s in scale with the new boxes and has details like the cuts and the corrugated window pattern.
