B&M 2024 Remembrance of the Daleks – Emperor Davros

This set is due in-store in September.

As a last resort you can search for this set on www.ebay.co.uk

Character Options is delighted to reveal details of the first Doctor Who Collector Sets for B&M Stores, for 2024. Available in September, these two exciting new sets will be the perfect addition to any fan’s collection.

For fans of one of the Doctor’s most feared enemies, the first set boasts the fearsome Emperor Davros Collector Figure, and to further sate the demand from fans of the Daleks, the second offering is a new History of the Daleks set. Each pack features a comprehensive description, accompanied with details on the inspiration behind a summary of which is below.

As all fans know, Davros is the creator of the Doctor’s deadliest enemies, the Daleks. In this special set, the evil genius is depicted as in the 1988 (Corrected from 1982 in the press release) episode “Remembrance of the Daleks” partially mutated with one functioning hand, a cybernetic eye mounted on his forehead he is encased in his self-designed cream and gold support chair in place of his lower body – this mobile chair inspired his design of the Daleks. The box comes complete with a gold limited edition seal and an inner back drop that sets the scene for the Emperor Davros’s evil doings to come.

These new sets will be available in the coming weeks at local B&M Stores. The retail price will be determined by the store.

The stock is now in the Bedford warehouse as well as the one in Liverpool.
Hopefully this means the sets will start to spread to distribution centres over the next couple of days

They are under the Brand “Doctor Who” when you do a search on the app, but showing out of stock. I use the app loads to scan stuff that hasn’t got a label if I’m in B&M, I’d recommend it

    • Ian

      October 3rd, 2024 - 11:52pm

Not on the app. I guess they don’t want people pestering them.

depends if the stock is being spilt with bedford warehouse then could take a week plus for them to start showing up in stores

    • Tom Williams

      September 27th, 2024 - 7:34pm

I know myself I live near Bedford and it could possibly be the case as nothing has arrived this way as off yet so seems Bedford warehouse would need stock sent too there way as they are supposed too put stock out normally first

    • DWho

      September 26th, 2024 - 11:53am

unless something has changed as of now they are not on the system as arrived, the barcode app also tended to update with the price when they were logged as arrived.

a few times though they went to Bedford first and we sent to stores in that area and it was while before the got to the main warehouse.

    • Dalek Fred

      September 26th, 2024 - 2:40pm

Is it probably the likelihood that these sets will be delayed to the 5th rumoured date of the 7th of October then?

Not rumoured, that is the date given by B&M and posted on the B&M figures facebook page.

gone back to my store and spoke to the manager who now knows me quite well , all I can say is there will be promotional art work for the new sets that will be coming (15th dr )and have its own section In store . bit like toys r us but scaled down.
I think if I understood him correctly they have small quantities in the store I went to but not allowed to be put out (he wouldn’t let me have a look) .
    sounds like release imminent

Could this be the 3 pack? or are B&M getting 15 and Ruby? They have had single figures in the dim and distant past and they do stock some ‘current’ toys such as Lego sets etc. Would explain the reduction in sets if they were expecting normal stock too.

just drive 40 mins to my nearest b&m, the store manager said there expecting end of this week for Davros but he wasn’t sure when there allowed to put on shelves and said he wouldn’t be surprised if they were held back until November .

he also said the store are expecting 150 sets and that store specifically will be limiting to 2 per customer as per requested from character .
I did ask how much it will be and he said around 15 – 20 pounds depending on demand .

    • booboo

      September 23rd, 2024 - 5:14pm

Things really have changed then with CO telling stores what to do, 150 set for one store as well sounds alot

    • Dwho

      September 23rd, 2024 - 5:38pm

Absolute nonsense 150 for 1 store and limiting sets to 2! No chance B&M want sets shifting

    • booboo

      September 23rd, 2024 - 5:48pm

don’t know, they have had them for months now according to some, that doesn’t sound like as company eager to shift them, perhaps the press release stating prices etc are set per store really is right now and each to their own

    • Supremedalek

      September 23rd, 2024 - 6:21pm

The limit of 2 per costumer is ONLY for the davros set as it is and always has been a unique and well desired figure but As for The History of the Daleks sets are also for army building as well as collecting.

    • booboo

      September 23rd, 2024 - 6:28pm

This 2 per customer limit has been made official then somewhere?

    • Supremedalek

      September 23rd, 2024 - 6:39pm

The 2 per costumer limit for rn is likely to be done from what’s been said but i for one can not see that happening as they would then be stuck with even more stock unable to move it later on

    • mick

      September 23rd, 2024 - 7:13pm

I haven’t heard of any of these rules and I work for them. The davros set is £12.99 . Nothing has been allocated to any stores yet. Think that manager was making it all up.

    • Supremedalek

      September 23rd, 2024 - 7:23pm

Also i have seen the post from Al Dewar on Gallifrey Base and he has confirmed that b&m have been given the sets, so b&m have them but seems they just haven’t added them to the system yet.

    • Dalekoddjob

      September 24th, 2024 - 9:51am

B&M will not limit sets to customers, even if its a head office rule they won’t do it. And I can’t see CO requesting it, its none of their business what B&M do.

  • Andy Dodds

    September 23rd, 2024 - 2:24pm

Ave checked my local store, I asked staff of they had them in, they said no not yet, I also asked if they have had them yet, no all their toys are out on their shelves so if they had them they would be out. But they have got a few of last year’s wave left. Couple of History Of The Daleks #15 and 1 left of #16/17 and a couple of Deadly Assassin sets. But the map has gone from here but you have got to bare in mind that this will only be if they are spotted so it’s just specification that might be a good idea to just check your local stores by an odd chance they may have them in, which I will be doing from this week. Because I dare say that these could appear anytime from now.

Yet B&M are telling people stock has not arrived and is now due around the end of the month and on shelves from 7th Oct

    • Dalekoddjob

      September 23rd, 2024 - 2:30pm

Perfectly normal these days – warehouses of most major brands are full of stock which doesn’t go out for months, that’s why dates on event chocolate aren’t as long as they once were. It then goes out at the date in the overall sales plan.

    • mick

      September 23rd, 2024 - 2:34pm

according to the store system they havent arrived yet. if the stock was available it would say they are in stock at the warehouse. i spoke to the toy buyer and they even said they havent arrived yet. still saying to arrive at the warehouse 26th september at the earliest.

Thank you mick for all your updates. I,for one, truly appreciate them. This is the only site I go to for Who merch so it’s always great to see some people still enjoy it. Yes we don’t get every character ever from Who but this isn’t SW where if you’re on screen for two seconds you get a figure. I think we have a lot of good figures from this show and I hope there are more to come. Thanks again.

Sorta glad I don’t care about these figures anymore it was clear that no matter how much we supported the ranged we weren’t ever going to get the figures we wanted the variants were nice sometimes but so many figures we just cut corners doubt we will see any 2nd or 5th doctor companions or Barbara and Susan good luck to those still into collecting them

    • Martino

      September 21st, 2024 - 11:09pm

The range was launched 16 years ago. Almost every significant Classic story has seen a figure release. Some stories are heavily represented – Robots of Death, Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Time Monster. We have Greel, Axons, Fendahl, Mechonoids, Chesterton, Romana, almost every TARDIS variant, Scarlioni, almost every Sontaran – I can only think of TWO figures I personally want to see now, out of the whole run of Doctor Who! And Emperor Davros is a genuine chase item, selling at silly prices for years now. It’s an excellent choice for re-release. So basically you’re quitting because Al Dewar isn’t tailoring the range to your specific wish list, when CO have done a staggeringly good job? Oy ….

    • Dalekoddjob

Probably why an official release date is never given for these items

A quick look at the sea freight trade press will confirm what’s pretty obvious: the Mid East situation is forcing ships to take longer routes, adding 10-14 days to shipping times, and extreme weather in South East Asia is causing massive delays in departures and transit. I imagine the new tranche Brexit rules won’t help matters when the shipment does arrive here…
