Not wanting to break any rules, but where would you go if you wanted to see this leak – is it on Twitter / Facebook? Is there a timescale for when they will be officially released? If you can’t tell me any of the above, is the number of releases similar to last year? Thanks In Advance 🙂

Word of warning for anyone who wants to race to find this YouTube account, the guy posts leak after leak after leak for the show as well as merchandise so be careful as it’s hard to avoid being spoiled by some of the thumbnails or video titles if you’re scrolling through trying to find anything about B&M. I really do not understand the joy of leaking things and ruining a show for everybody but ah well maybe that’s cool nowadays

They’re not actually leaks, they are Reddit posts in which people pretend they have insider sources at the BBC and that they know everything about Series 13. If you watch the videos you’ll see all of the “leaks” are made up by people who just want some attention, and in many of the videos even Tharries has doubts over a lot of the posts.

Hi. Me again, haha. Just curious and hopeful. Can anyone help me out with the dimensions on a jcard for a doctor who steelbook or help. I’m planning on making a custom steelbook. Maybe even a limited run of 5 of a certain big finish story. And if they do well I plan on doing “out of time trilogy steelbook”. I would love some help on fonts used on the doctor who new who range and jcard dimensions so I can do a completed steel. Hate them without jcards

I’d be greatfull and I’m planning a limited numbered run of 5 of each design. Light at the end and out of time trilogy are the two planned at the minute with a third to be decided. Possibly an 8th, war or even time lord victorious audios steel

One would be done for me for my collection but I was thinking of doing a limited run of five ,you can check out the art on my Instagram for the first two. I plan on tweaking the design for light at the end and changing the back to companions instead of a tardis but that’s because I’m really pleased with my out of time design. OverhavenDesigns is the username. I’m in talks about getting them physically made in the next couple months at most possibly earlier.

Booboo, with being a regular viewer on some Stawars sites, at the moment theirs alot of talk about Hasbro stopping using plastics altogether in their packaging. (Saving the environment theme). I don’t think it’s going down too well with fans though. Hasbro’s even shown different cardboard packing designs recenltly for their single figures and are asking fans to choose their favourite design. All the fans are doing is complaining they don’t want it to happen and say keep the plastic windows included so they can pick the best paint apps on the figures. Just wondering if anything similar is happening with CO products in future. If COs mentioned this or any Dr Who Forums.
If so, just wondering what are collectors/fans opinion?

not that I’ve seen but character have cut down a lot, there was a lot of thick plastic in the clam shells and even moving on to series 5 but now its mostly thin windows.

Problem with box only is that people will just open them in-store and wreck most of them doing it, others prefer to display in box and never open them so its a no win situation really.

      May 9th, 2021 - 1:12pm

Yes Booboo. I’m all for saving the environment. Afterall without a planet we wouldnt be here either. As for StarWars product, I can’t see this ending well at all.
Hope CO doesnt decide to go down the same route.

    • Anonymous

      May 9th, 2021 - 5:47pm

Couldn’t they just get rid of the plastic and just have an “open” box? Tie the figure to an internal bit of cardboard so it can’t be stolen or fall out accidently.

I’ve seen it with some plush toys where they’ll just tie it onto a cardboard base.

    • Coleman

      May 9th, 2021 - 8:21pm

A few Months ago Hasbro put 3 different box designs on the internet for future single pack StarWars figures, hoping fans would pick their favourite and this would go into production before 2020 as this is the deadline they’ve set themselves. Two of the box’s were completely closed just with different artwork. The other box had similar artwork but had a tiny inspection hatch but with no plastic window. The square hole was big enough to reveal the figures head and shoulders. (No Im not joking).
This seems to be the direction their going in and there running out of time to do something different.
You won’t be able to inspect figures for paint quality neither can you keep boxed to display your figures.
You should be able to findbrecent images on the internet.
As I said, I hope CO doesn’t go in this direction.

To be totally honest, when it comes to saving the environment. The only thing I can see happening if they eventually rule out plastics for all packaging products, is they’ll need much more card stock. Hence pulling down millions more trees?

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 9:32am

Yes but you can plant more trees. Plus cardboard packaging is recyclable where as plastic packaging isn’t. And yes, collectors don’t open and bin the packaging but if you want a planet to be able to live on then you’ll have to put up with it.

    • booboo

      May 10th, 2021 - 9:42am

not just a Hasbro or Character problem, there is probably more plastic packaging in a EM figurine than a window boxed figure.

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 11:08am

It’s going to be a worldwide problem soon, with not just toys company’s but all company’s getting involved. I dread to think how many trees will be pulled down in future because of this move?

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 12:36pm

To pull a tree down in itself is not as damaging for the planet as creating more plastic which stays around forever. Haven’t they invented a biodegradable plastic, though? Unfortunately, collecting is a materialistic hobby and materialism damages the planet.

Strangely enough I have seen a product with a clear screen on it, that you can look through & it’s made of wood. I’m wondering if that can be applied to other products?

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 12:52pm

They have invented biodegradable plastics, but I’ve be looking this up recently on the net.
Toy company’s seem to be shying away from this because they can’t take hardly any heat.
They wouldn’t survive the excessive heat in the shipping containers during their long journeys from China and the like.

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 1:29pm

I’m sure Hasbro, since it’s a huge global company will have looked into every possible scenario.
It seems the best they can come up with though is a full cardboard box that you won’t be able to see the product inside.
(All I said was I hope CO doesn’t go in this direction)
Otherwise their might be alot more comments on this site than their is a present?

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 2:34pm

Hasbro’s main product is PLASTIC toys, and their concerned about eliminating plastic packaging to save the planet.
That’s an oxymoron if I’ve ever heard one?

    • TimelordTim

      May 10th, 2021 - 5:43pm

The toys are used, the packaging (apart from collectors) isn’t after purchase; therefore the packaging is usually much more wasteful than the product itself. So it’s not an oxymoron, it’s a perfectly sensible way to reduce plastic use to off-set a little what is used in the toys themselves.

    • TimelordTim

      May 10th, 2021 - 5:55pm

It doesn’t necessarily require millions more trees to make more cardboard packaging. Instead, it requires the use of recycled cardboard; or the use of new cardboard from a sustainable, fair-trade source – specifically somewhere that has a good rotation crop of trees that produces more materials without using more space or requiring the chopping down of any virgin forest. Tree plantations can actually benefit the environment, if done properly, through carbon sequestration and oxygen production as well.

Using more cardboard isn’t a 100% fix, but using a higher proportion of cardboard and a lower proportion of plastic is always a better offset for the environment.

Use of biodegradable plastic will hopefully become more viable. Even though I open most of my products I understand the desire for a plastic window to display items in packaging or just see the paint quality on the item before purchase. But as little plastic as viable is always better.

Many companies are progressing this way, and as every bit helps, I think we should be expecting these sorts of changes in the future.

    • Anonymous

      May 10th, 2021 - 8:05pm

If company’s could make a fully biodegradable plastic that could tolerate high temperatures, I think this is the way to go in future. I’m sure some company’s will be experimenting with this right now. I think this would help the planet and keep collectors happy aswell.
      But not full cardboard boxes.

Just got a video up on YouTube about the article myself. Curious news if true. Very out of left field since we thought evil and abominable were coming soon. Galaxy makes sense for a first doctor story though, small cast, only four parts. Not sure about it’s audio quality.

    • Gordon

      May 7th, 2021 - 7:46am

It seems like the obvious Hartnell to do if they are dipping their toes into the full blown 1st doctor animations . It’s a short story even as a 4 parter. Very small cast where all the dhravens are all supposed to be clones and the chumblies you also only need to create 1 as they all look the same and the same goes for the rills, the sets are all pretty basic too. Should be 1 of the easiest to animate. The audio has been described as poor but I’m sure Mark Ayers will do a good job with it. Will be interesting to see who’s tackling the animation of it is true

    • Auton

      May 7th, 2021 - 8:55am

The next question is, will Galaxy 4 be released before evil and abominable or after. I hope they haven’t give up on evil and abominable to do galaxy 4 instead but I’m sure we must soon get proper announcements for web, evil and abominable

    • Anonymous

      May 7th, 2021 - 9:24am

I’d like to see all the missing episodes animated one day. But Woowho, Galaxy four is definitely near the top of my list. Along with Evil and abominable of course.

    • Anonymous

      May 7th, 2021 - 9:41am

Wouldnt it be good after this animation anouncement that the Mirror retracted this statement. Saying sorry we made an error, the actual original copy’s have turned up and the BBC are working on releasing them on video.
(Also, since the next big Anniversary is coming up soon, were going to colourise them. Ah ah.

    • Gordon

      May 7th, 2021 - 10:20am

It’s far too early to say. The only thing we really know about galaxy 4 is that it’s being reportedly animated. No idea who’s doing it or when it’s due. It could be bbc studios team or big finish creative. Or it could be another team entirely that we don’t yet know about. With the small amount of characters and assets needed it would be the perfect project for a very small team of people to tackle during a pandemic

    • Anonymous

      May 7th, 2021 - 11:02am

The real question is given how quickly they’ve gotten this story out, is The Abominable Snowmen happening at all or was that crossed wires over The Web of Fear?

    • Prowl 1701

      May 8th, 2021 - 1:40am

I figured it would be one of the first hartnell stories we would get, the audio was my only concern as I had thought it wasn’t considered great. Hope it’s true, I’ve been wanting to see this story.

    • Anonymous

      May 9th, 2021 - 12:54am

Thanks for the info gordon, hope it’s true I’ve always enjoyed galaxy 4 and i loved episode three when i watched it. Was so disappointed when it didn’t get a dvd release of it’s own. Agree that its a fairly obvious choice for a hartnell animation. Not many characters (drahvins, rills and chumblies can all be done with one design) only team tardis and maaga to design individually. Not many locations and most of those are features in the episode one clip and epidode 3 so good reference material is available. Will be really happy if this goes ahead.

    • Anonymous

      May 9th, 2021 - 12:57am

No colourisation please! Just leave them as they were made. By all means do a colour animation as well but just leave the original episodes alone

    • Anonymous

      May 9th, 2021 - 11:07am

I’d say colourise all the original Who episodes. But so as not to upset anyone, put both Monochrome and colour versions on each story.
Then you choose yourself with version you prefer to watch.
(No need to offend anyone really).

    • Gordon

      May 9th, 2021 - 1:16pm

I don’t see the problem. It’s going to be optional. It will probably be years before it happens if it ever happens. Hand drawn colourisation for even 1 episode is a massive use of time and money. There was a group of people that colourised the whole of day of Armageddon and it was a 5 year project. There is ai colourisation but going by what I’ve seen others do using that method the results are wildly inconsistent and needs a bit of advancement of technology before it’s seen as something that would be releasable.
