October 1st, 2021 - 7:27pmI seem to be the only one who is very disappointed by the likeness of Tom Baker. To me It looks more like the actor Del Henny from Resurrection of the Daleks than Tom.
I was really looking forward to getting this, but now I’m having second thoughts.

September 24th, 2021 - 12:40pmOddly this is only £85.49 at FP compared to £149.99 at Eaglemoss

August 21st, 2021 - 12:42amThis figure makes me think that Boris Johnson in a wig is standing in for Tom in the 60th anniversary special.
It’s still a decent likeness though, one of EM’s best human figurines so far. Now make a set of Dalek Master Plan ambassadors please.

August 21st, 2021 - 8:00amI wonder how much a DMP set would cost.
the ergon
August 21st, 2021 - 10:29amIf it were up to £100 i,d pay out but it would also need to include zephon as well or at the very least the doctor disguised as him. People pay as much for the megas and the Harrops.
Lt. Scott’s Moustache
August 21st, 2021 - 12:01pmAssuming it contained all 7 delegates + Mavic Chen I reckon a DMP set would be at least £80. I’d pay £100+. As Ergon said folks pay as much for Harrops & 150 for megas. This would be a dream set, so I’d pay whatever the asking price tbh.

August 21st, 2021 - 4:07pmPleased I’m not the only one who likes the ambassadors/delegates designs. EM are extremely good when it comes to aliens and creatures, and I can easily imagine the results they’d achieve. If classic and aliens are good sellers usually, perhaps a little series of sets would be possible? As we were talking about in another thread, it wouldn’t be the first time Master Plan was split up into multiple releases. Maybe the display boxes could be designed so that there’s a pop up cardboard table from Mission and pop up desks from Day of Armageddon, so you could build a diorama. Cardboard seems the thing to add value these days – you can double the price of a blu-ray by adding a slipcase, poster and art cards and people rush to buy them, even when offered the choice simultaneously. If card + creativity = cash, Clayton Hickman could no doubt make something too cool to resist.

August 24th, 2021 - 12:02pmI’d like to see all the DMP Delagates made by Eaglemoss aswell. It’s something different that never gets made usually.

August 20th, 2021 - 9:13pmHow much do these retail for ? I not usually interested in the mega collection but its a cracking likeness of Tom.

August 21st, 2021 - 11:04amTheir usually around the 100 pound mark. But if you don’t mind waiting they generally go on different sales after awhile. Some sales are half price.
Doctor Thirteenth
August 21st, 2021 - 6:59pm10th Doctor mega is £149.99
Dalekz
August 20th, 2021 - 8:20pmNice I’d like a mega 5th 6th and 7th as they are my Doctors…also a mega Clara if you have it in you 🙂

August 20th, 2021 - 3:55pmIf the paint apps are good then I’d get this. I’d prefer to see the actual figure I’m getting though. The photo looks impressive.

August 20th, 2021 - 8:48pmThe Mega editions always come in a windowless box, so even if these figurines still made it into the shops like their smaller cousins used to do, you still wouldn’t be able to check them for quality, breakages or paint apps etc.

August 20th, 2021 - 1:26pmAre eaglemoss aiming to produce megas of all of the Doctors ? Be nice to pick and choose now. Presumably in scale with previous megas – daleks Davros etc.
Coleman
August 20th, 2021 - 1:01pmYes, very tempted by this.
Doug Who
August 20th, 2021 - 12:37pmI don’t usually get the ‘megas’ although I did pick up K9 in a sale but this one I may just have to save up for. It is a lovely sculpt from a fabulous story!
Oh and Neil, if you read this, hope it’s not too forward to say congratulations on the arrival of Molly!
Neil Corry
August 21st, 2021 - 8:00amThank you 🙂 She’s awesome. Being newly married is pretty ace too 🙂
Doug Who
August 21st, 2021 - 10:58amCongrats on that too of course! Now enough honeymooning and get to work on that Krarg figurine please!!
Bobby Davros
August 20th, 2021 - 12:29pmI hope they scale this down and make a regular size version. It’s the one we need to go with the two Romanas.
Neil Corry
August 21st, 2021 - 8:01amI agree with this issue. Don’t know when we’ll do it though.

August 20th, 2021 - 10:57amThat’s a really superlative sculpt of the beloved Fourth Doctor and excellent paintwork too. Good work EM! You’ve captured not just a Doctor, but THE Doctor – the definite article, you might say…. It deserves to sell really well.
Doctor Stu
August 20th, 2021 - 10:14amAs soon as they make a series 4 Davros mega figurine they can take all my money at once but for now this will just hover around in my periphery until I see it reduced and at half price. That’s how I bagged the weeping angel for 50 quid. Bargain

August 20th, 2021 - 9:46amWhat is fourth grabbing for? ‘I,ll have one of those why,ll i,m here’
Doctor…Who?
August 20th, 2021 - 10:44amHe’s grabbing for his reflection in the mirror, at least that’s what the picture looks like.
Bobby Davros
August 20th, 2021 - 12:31pmIt’s based on a City of Death publicity still. I have it on a T-shirt.
Alvin Amey
August 20th, 2021 - 9:41amWow, it looks fantastic I’ll definitely be getting this mega.:D
Neil Corry
August 21st, 2021 - 8:04amCheers, Alvin. Do not ask how much of a nightmare the scarf was 🙂 The magazine that comes with it is one of the favourite things we’ve done.
Doug Who
August 21st, 2021 - 7:48pmThe scarf is truly beautiful! Those tassels must have been fun to sculpt.
I always wished they had marketed proper versions of Tom’s paint and palette badge set (the Abbyshot version didn’t have them as separate pins) and his flying duck badges from ‘Kroll’…maybe some of Colin’s cat badges too…could be a nice if limited line of merchandise!
Coleman
August 22nd, 2021 - 11:08amHello Doug, I don’t see why Eaglemoss couldn’t make the badges you suggest as just a continuation of the pin set their making already.
Neil Corry
August 22nd, 2021 - 3:56pmTo Doug and Coleman: they’re already someone else’s merchandise.
Coleman
August 22nd, 2021 - 4:58pmSorry Neil, didn’t know they’d already been done. Apart from Big Chief making them in the 1:6 scale of course.
Doug Who
August 22nd, 2021 - 7:56pmI thought Abbyshot had stopped making ‘Who’ stuff, if that’s what you meant of course. Although very nice indeed, they didn’t get their pins quite right and I don’t think anyone has ever done the ‘Kroll’ flying ducks sadly…never found a similar set! I remember aeons ago buying a limited exact replica Colin cat badge from the maker of the original, I think before he’d even made his debut on telly!
booboo
August 22nd, 2021 - 8:42pmdepends on who has the licence, FP have done costume badges of late but as abbyshot has covered most bases and their badges were sold off for next to nothing i doubt there would be the demand for another run with a new licence holder at the moment.
Doug Who
August 22nd, 2021 - 10:41pmYes that’s very true Booboo. The Abbyshot badges came down in price pretty quickly. I did get an email answer from them quite a few years ago now saying they were looking into more badges but clearly nothing came of it.
random stranger
August 23rd, 2021 - 1:00pmRandom thought. Perhaps the different badges the Doctor wore (different incarnations) weren’t just ‘badges’. Perhaps they were some piece of Time Lord technology equipped with a tiny chameleon circuit to make them/it look like badges or lapel pins (piece of celery)?
If it is a piece of kit, I wonder what it would be.
Then again, maybe they were just badges after all.
