January 17th, 2020 - 9:50pmHi. Thought I’d post this here rather than reply further down the thread.
Bit confused by the answer I got from Eaglemoss regarding the Rare Dalek Subscribers Gold Plinth 2. I said that I was meant to receive it by December as was made aware of a delay a few months earlier with a note in a parcel.
They replied saying they will send out a replacement (as if I should already have it).
Did anyone on here receive theirs last year?
If not it might be worth emailling too.

January 12th, 2020 - 3:46pmWhat figurines are definitely ruled out due to them being too difficult to make
Neil Corry
January 12th, 2020 - 4:42pmA quick answer to this: we have problems with glass/anything transparent.
Doug Who
January 12th, 2020 - 5:40pmWe were very lucky to get Morbius considering this.
Neil, I was wondering if you’ve seen the Harlequin range of 28mm figures. I say this because they did a Menoptera with ‘solid’ rather than transparent wings and when painted with a pearlescent finish and the black outlines it works quite well. A compromise I know but it might be one way round the problem.
Now, to solve the problem of Arcturus’s dome!!
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 5:48pmA larger rounded plastic cap similar to the consoles column i would think.

January 13th, 2020 - 10:12pmWar Chief, mature Krynoid, Kandyman, Menoptra with wings, Stengos Dalek, Brains of Morphoton, plus figurines featuring a likeness of an actor may be problematic (especially if deceased): Eric Roberts, Kevin Stoney, Kate O’Mara, Michelle Gomez, Michael Gough, Valentine Dyall, Cyril Luckham, Philip Latham, Richard Mathews…
The Ergon
January 13th, 2020 - 10:54pmIf we don,t get a valentine Dyall Black Guardian at least i can say i actually saw the guy in panto as Abanazer although at the time had no idea who he was, oh and Nicolas Smith from Dalek Invasion AKA Wells, although he was only known to me then as Mr. Rumbold from Are You Being served. I was very young but i got two’ Who’ stars for the price of one. Consolation of sorts as i missed Colin Baker opening ‘The Space Invader’ at Blackpool Pleasure beach in ’84. I was gutted i missed that. Seeing him now wouldn,t be the same.
The Ergon
January 13th, 2020 - 11:06pmHeres another to throw at ya. How about the Spoonhead girl?
Anonymous
January 14th, 2020 - 12:45amA few of those listed have already been ruled out due to rights issues, war chief, kandyman Eric roberts and others such as menoptera have been ruled out due to production issues.

January 11th, 2020 - 10:14pmI hear that the Watcher will be issue 200 and the final issue. I know it’s because of the quote “It’s the end but the moment has been prepared for”, but with little time for the Foamasi, *cough*, I mean our favorite characters to be done, it very well may be the end, but the moment has not been prepared for!
#Foamasi Awareness
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 10:39amI mentioned that. According to Neil its not.
Mrs Croot
January 12th, 2020 - 11:06amThank you for the information
Neil Corry
January 12th, 2020 - 11:11amErgon has misread information. Issue 180 is no longer the Watcher.
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 11:17amSo The Watcher is the final issue after all? The difference being we didn,t know it had been extended when i made my comment.
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 11:34amYoure doing a ‘Francis Urquhart’ on me ‘you might very well think that, i couldn,t possibly comment’
Mrs Croot
January 12th, 2020 - 1:12pmSo 200 shall be the Watcher. Glad we sorted it out, as I always like to know what’s ahead in the range.
Neil Corry
January 12th, 2020 - 4:38pmWhat’s planned and what actually appears can be two different things. I would like the Watcher to be the final issue because I think the character is fascinating and it would, I think, be a fitting/poetic ending to the collection. We shall see.
What do you think should be the final figurine in the collection?
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 5:04pmThe Watcher. Makes sense to end it with that final classic quote.
The Ergon
January 12th, 2020 - 5:06pmIt needn,t matter so much if you go beyond the 200 mark.
Doug Who
January 12th, 2020 - 5:33pmI agree that Watcher would be an apt figure to end the collection and certainly marked the end of an era within the show itself. It also seems fitting to end where it began with a figure representing the Doctor.
If not that then maybe a character from the end of the show’s original run such as the Master from ‘Survival’ possibly even holding a Kitling in his arms might provide a symbolic full stop. That way you mirror the collection’s beginning…start with the Doctor and end with the Master!
Whatever it ends up being I hope it is a very, very long way off indeed!

January 12th, 2020 - 6:15pmIf it isn’t The Watcher how about a doctor regenerating in all Volcano glory.
Doesn’t have to be 9,10 or 12 though. It Could even be creative and if Jodie is still the Doctor or someone new be them regenerating into…?
Or have old Tenzalore old 11 exploding. With the very first figurine being young 11, final being old 11 would bookend the collection nicely too.
Mrs Croot
January 11th, 2020 - 5:05pmWe need that 6th/ 8th doctor cyberman from this story
Neil Corry
January 12th, 2020 - 4:46pmNeed? Like air, food and water? 🙂
This Cyberman is being considered because it is very good. Maybe if sales are good enough and the collection goes over 200 issues? (Don’t ask me how likely this is – I have no clue.)
Mrs Croot
January 13th, 2020 - 4:26pmHa, I don’t, it’s just that cyberman was big part of my childhood as I loved the 8th doctor RT comics.
They only had 3 appearances but the 3rd was a lovely surprise to me, seeing them back for Titan Comics
Type 40
January 11th, 2020 - 4:21pmThis looks a lot better in hand than online. A nice addition to the range.
Mrs Croot
January 11th, 2020 - 1:27pmIt’s pretty dull but it’s based on a cartoon so they are painting it to look like the cartoon, and I have to say well done. You can’t always replicate 2-D to 3-D that easily, but this is a great attempt .
Character options did this for the first release of Real Time 6, but for the second they painted it to look like a real costume which I prefer more than just plain blue.
I do prefer this costume over the normal one. Thinking about this, is there any chance of a Real time/ 8th Doctor Comic cyberman from this story, as it’s my favorite cyberman?

January 11th, 2020 - 12:01amWow! That’s awful!
Not the figurine, that outfit.

January 11th, 2020 - 12:41amOddly I think most people who see that version prefer it.

January 10th, 2020 - 5:53pmStill no Rare Dalek Plinth? I’d like some kind of update on it at least, some people are paying extra for this after all
booboo
January 10th, 2020 - 5:55pmthis is where we could do with a direct contact with sales, Neil is development, different department.

January 10th, 2020 - 7:34pmI was also charged £6 for something last month & I’m not entirely sure what this is for.
Gareth Pugh
January 10th, 2020 - 7:46pm1, that was for the £1 per issue price increase that took effect in October but the subs department only realised three months after this was meant to take effect that they hadn’t increased people’s direct debits for their October, November and December packages, so they took the backdated, last month. There was a slip of paper in September’s box warning of the increase, and others got an e-Mail weeks later. Others say they got neither!

January 10th, 2020 - 8:37pmOh, I knew there was an increase but, I didn’t know there were going to back date it. Thanks for the information.

January 10th, 2020 - 8:54pmHi Everyone,
In regards to the Dalek Plinth 2 I have sent them an email asking for an update as we were suppose to get it last month after a delay.
I will report back once I get an answer.

January 10th, 2020 - 3:59pmDoctor Blue! I’m quite happy with that.
Loobop
January 10th, 2020 - 3:55pmwith a repaint he could easily become aziraphale from good omens.
TheQuestion
January 10th, 2020 - 3:27pmWhen will this turn up in the likes of WH Smiths the last one they had was 166
Timelord63
January 10th, 2020 - 4:42pmMy Whsmiths in Hull haven’t received this issue this week nor did they get issue 166 in. Last issue they received was issue 165 and they only got 1 copy in. Distribution seems to have got really bad.
Neil Corry
January 11th, 2020 - 9:04amI didn’t know it was still being sold in non-specialist stores. I know it’s an obvious question, but I promise I want to help: have you asked Smiths if they could order it for you?
Thetruth
January 11th, 2020 - 10:01amThey stock a few of every magazine just the delivery company aka WHSmith who delivers to most newsagents in the UK does not always arrive in one piece.
Secondly some WHSmith magazines don’t always put them out as the staff don’t get chance so they still in the warehouse until the next sale and return date and they go back.
Thirdly before any one says subscribe some people work. So that’s not always practical.
Timelord63
January 11th, 2020 - 4:14pmHave put in an order at whsmiths but even this apparently does not guarantee you’ll get it. Ended up having to get issue 166 from Ebay at lot more than cover price
Bicky
January 10th, 2020 - 2:03pmExcellent figurine with great detail.
Doctor Mysterio
January 10th, 2020 - 2:01pmDoes this open up the possibility of getting a Richard E. Grant Doctor figurine from “Scream of the Shalka”?
Bobby Davros
January 10th, 2020 - 4:47pmDepends, if you have an idea of who they could repaint to achieve that I’m sure they would consider it.
booboo
January 10th, 2020 - 5:40pmthey wouldn’t repaint another figure to look like someone else as you well know
Jordan9364
January 10th, 2020 - 5:50pmLol they’ve literally never done that before. This figure is a repaint because the actual costume was exactly that
Anonymous
January 10th, 2020 - 5:58pmI think they more meant because this from an elseworld story right? Not strictly cannon
booboo
January 10th, 2020 - 6:38pmno it was a sarcastic comment as usual because a lot of people don’t like the fact this is a straight repaint.
I would direct them to eg: the Destroyer and Zarbi figures, probably beyond the means of the collection without a “compromise” or two along the way
Anonymous
January 10th, 2020 - 8:40pmWe should be be used to certain people trying to windup others by now. As boo boo says, if it takes a comprise of a single repainted figure being issued to cut costs in order to get something else more expensive for them to produce later on what’s the problem with that? It makes good business sense.
Doctor Mysterio
January 10th, 2020 - 11:56pmSorry if anyone misunderstood my initial comment, Booboo, but it was not my intention to be sarcastic regarding this figure (I love it!) and I really have no interest regarding whether this is a repaint or not. I was genuinely curious as to whether a Shalka Doctor could possibly now appear, as it was from a webcast too in a similar fashion to this Blue 6th Doctor. As a big Richard E. Grant fan, I’ve always been interested in the Ninth Doctor that never was and it would have made an interesting, unusual and certainly unique figurine. And unlike say the Cushing Dr, the Grant Doctor was touted as both official and canon at the time. Perhaps I’m just a completest but this part of Who history interests me. I genuinely love this range – and have them all!
booboo
January 11th, 2020 - 7:36amNo no it’s not you There was nothing wrong with your comment at all my reply was directed at someone else
Neil Corry
January 11th, 2020 - 9:01amDr Mysterio! We’ve checked about doing the Richard E Grant’s Doctor and sadly we can’t do it.
Mr P
January 11th, 2020 - 5:53pmDisappointing that Richard E Grant’s Doctor can’t be done. He’s one I’ve been hoping we get for a long time.
What are the chances we could see a Young War Doctor, as he appeared at the end of ‘The Night of the Doctor’ ?
And thank you Neil for this amazing collection. Here’s hoping it continues for years to come!
Jordan9364
January 11th, 2020 - 8:29pmYoung War Doctor would be amazing!
Hattresley
January 11th, 2020 - 11:59pmRichard E Grant was also The Great Intelligence…….just throwing that out there…. hint hint Neil
Doctor Mysterio
January 12th, 2020 - 2:16amI was just thinking the same thing…
Anonymous
January 12th, 2020 - 2:32pmRichard e grant as the intelligence would be great but that doesn’t mean they would do a shalka doctor later as it’s a rights issue presumably. Sometimes I feel people can focus on what we can’t have rather than on the excellent range we have/are getting
Hattresley
January 12th, 2020 - 6:26pmI’m just suggesting the great intelligence be made a part of the collection. Couldn’t be bothered about the shalka doctor tbh
