November 22nd, 2019 - 7:55amUsed to always be signings in Leeds but it helped that one of the DW authers worked at the large book store before it closed down.
Sophie Aldred was known to turn up as well.
Lots of them won’t come North these days for various over complicated reasons.

November 23rd, 2019 - 4:57pmNor the South. I know one might think those in the South of England that its easy to get to London, well the train tickets are so disproportionately expensive now, that I have not been to London for 4.5 years.

November 8th, 2019 - 6:51pmPlease have an event outside of London for once, even if it’s only one or two writers. I’m getting a bit tired of seeing so many of the major Doctor Who events down south.

November 22nd, 2019 - 7:57amThere were four authors of The Missy Chronicles signing the book in Manchester last year, and they happily signed other things too.

November 23rd, 2019 - 7:14pmI was there, it was a great event, but Waterstones, not FP, and very much a one time thing. James Goss once did a signing at FP London on a Thursday, and then another one the next Friday. The London store gets absolutely everything and I know it makes sense with it being the capital, but can’t it get at least one of the authors to come up north? My Liverpool store hasn’t had an event of interest since Trevor Baxendale signed Deep Time in 2015, and I’d very much like to attend a Who book signing without heading down south which will cost a bomb each time and require very extensive planning. I know I can always buy a signed book online, but it’s not the same and a signing event would encourage me to visit the store more often.
