Here is the synopsis for Molten Heart (AS SEEN ON AMAZON):

Deep below the surface of the planet Adamantine lies a crystalline wonder world of lava seas and volcanic islands, home to living rock-people.

But when the Doctor and her friends arrive on Adamantine they find it under threat. The seas are shrinking, the magma is cooling, and mysterious, fatal seething pools are spreading fast.

Something has come to Adamantine – but what does it want? Fearing an invasion is underway, the Doctor must lead an expedition to the surface of the world to save its molten heart…

Featuring the Thirteenth Doctor, Yasmin, Ryan and Graham, as played by Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh.

If you look at the cover image carefully the 13th Doctor isn’t wearing her jacket.

based on the fact that funko pop of 13 without her jacket was announced, i would assume there will be a few episodes where she doesn’t wear it like matt smith in journey to the centre of the tardis

Love the covers. I enjoyed a lot of the first releases for various doctors, thing is a lot of who fiction doesn’t quite get the characters spot on, i still read and enjoy most of them. I personally didn’t think harvest of time captured the pertwee era well, but lots of other people thought it did. I still read it and intend to finally get around to reading it again. Looking forward to a bright new era both here in the books and on tv now.

Wow, stiking cover image. I`m not sure I agree with the Comments re- the first batch being the weakest.

iWith the series Filming for so long, there would be lots of time for the authors to get a handel on them. With Chris Chibnall having had some of these characters penciled in for a good while before production too..

This is the usually the worst bunch of books to release because none of the writers have any concrete content to go off in regards to 13’s personality or that of her companions. I remember the series 5 books that were obviously written before S5 and they painted Rory out as some sort of stud who slapped Amy on the behind at one point in the book it was so disjointed to what we saw on screen

This is why I’m hoping the Series will come out before October so that they have time to make a few changes to the main characters to bring them more in line with how they are on TV before release.

I imagine the release date will change to fit the broadcast date (which probably hasn’t been decided yet) rather than this being fixed.
20th October (if it is still to be broadcast weekly on Saturdays) is the latest the series can start so that it ends before the Christmas special (assuming there is to be one – and I can’t imagine Chibnall wanting to lose it, it’s by far the most-watched episode of the year, meaning that it’s got to be huge for publicity in terms of (hopefully) showing people that it’s still a good programme they want to watch).

This has happened before where one of the books hasn’t been announced with the others. Secret in vault 13 is a seperate paperback release. There will be three of these. £7.99 each as well.

Are these ‘proper’ books like the hardback ones they’ve brought out for Peter Capaldi in the last few years?

They’ve done them for every series since 2005, so I assume so yes

I’m still hoping they will announce target books of her stories. Still, any new fiction is welcome so I’ll order these once all three are confirmed.

So, if these are coming out October 25, does that mean the Series will be all done and dusted by that point or does that mean only episode 1 will have aired, most likely on October 20?

I believe these novels are usually released during the first half of the series (last year’s were released the week after The Pilot aired) so I imagine it’ll only be a few episodes into the series at that point.

It’s usually released during the first few episodes of the series.
However I don’t imagine they will have decided the series’ specific air dates yet, any merchandise release dates will be a rough estimate and subject to change based on the actual series’ broadcast dates.

So is Novel 1 the Secret in Vault 13? Just a bit confused, as the blurb on that states that it’ll be followed by another novel in Autumn 2019, while these two are in October (same as the first).
