Gordon Archer was the artist behind most of the Weetabix promotions during the 1970s and 80s. His distinctive style, using fine lines and inks, proved influential during that era and inspired budding artists in years to come.
As part of the 1975 Weetabix promotion, the cards that bore these characters were collected and traded by children in playgrounds across the country.
Some were lucky enough to have kept them while most lost the cards over the years. Either way, Gordon hopes you’ll enjoy his iconic artwork once again.

June 8th, 2023 - 9:37pmI always remembered that feeling of absolute Disappointment whenever I got home and opened the box of Weetabix to find a set of Cards I already owned. Instead of a set I was still after. I wish I’d done the same as you ergon and Slyly opened the bottom of the Packet, while still in the store. At least I would have been happy.

July 22nd, 2021 - 11:37amPostcards and posters are nice but it would be better if these were made in the original format again so they could be popped out and displayed with reprints of the backgrounds and tardis model, that would bring back lots of memories

February 3rd, 2020 - 2:00amI have a full set, it took me ages to get the Ice Warrior for some reason. I have had them for 45 years and eventually mounted them in a frame and it makes a nice display. I wish I had also helpt the background displays that were on the back of the boxes but they were lost years ago. I also have most of the 1977 Weetabix cards which were oblong and could be used in a game printed on the boxes.

November 22nd, 2016 - 12:26pmI used to collect these many years ago. I hate to admit i used to try and tamper with the boxes at the bottom of the packs to see which ones were in the packet.I never got the ones i really wanted.
