Prom 2: Saturday 13th July Doctor Who Prom 7.30pm, Royal Albert Hall
In its 50th-anniversary year, Doctor Who returns to the Proms with a spectacular concert featuring Murray Gold’s music for the series, plus pieces by Bach, Bizet and Debussy, and a special performance of one of the most iconic theme tunes in television history. Performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Ben Foster, the Prom includes a host of alien friends and foes plus a very special appearance by Matt Smith.
Prom 3 Sunday 14th July 10.30am, Royal Albert Hall

May 16th, 2013 - 9:31amDespite the message saying its sold out If any one doesn’t mind sitting with others there are quite a few single tickets available in the back of the 2nd tier boxes which hold 5 people.
Maybe better than nothing
So quess what – we get to go after all!

Personally, although it would be cool to go, I’m perfectly content to stay at home and watch it on TV.

May 11th, 2013 - 3:59pmTerribly organised booking. Not telling people that the waiting room opened earlier than booking disgraceful. We queued for 4 hours from 9am and when we finally got there no tickets!!!! If this “get me in” have been buying large quantities of tickets to sell then that is disgraceful. I can live (although I am disappointed) but think if there were children who tried to get in but then were robbed of this by some dirty website profiteer who bought a large amount of tickets.

May 15th, 2013 - 11:32amI am so mad about the way the tickets were sold what was the point of putting tickets in the basket weeks before they went on sale now get me in have them now and asking lots of money for them it should not be aloud to happen.from a very disapointed family.

May 11th, 2013 - 12:02pmWish the RAH website had made it clear that you can submit your proms plan to the waiting room long before tickets went on sale at 9am this morning, then I wouldn’t have missed out! 🙁

May 11th, 2013 - 3:49pmdont feel too bad about that, I queued,did the planner,still didnt get tickets – by time I got to submit my planner (1 hr of queueing online) all the tickets I’d reserved had gone. I ended taking seats way up where we wont see anything – disappointing for children.
I’m very disappointed – what’s the point of a proms planner,reserving tickets when its meaningless?
soon as I logged off I saw that ‘get me in’ are selling tickets for 4 x as much! so I guess- they bought my tickets!

May 11th, 2013 - 10:11pmI agree, the booking was appalling. My husband and I both set up an account, entered best available tickets on the Proms Planner so we had more of a chance, and waited an hour to get in the waiting room and find ourselves 5500th and 5370th (really!) in the queue. Then another hour of waiting to find out they had unsurprisingly sold out. We’ve been hoping to take the kids to this since the last one. Who the heck actually got tickets?

May 14th, 2013 - 8:20pmDon’t mean to sound harsh here but here goes. This was always going to be massively over subscribed and any way they organised ticket sales was going to be slated as per the Olympics, anyone not getting what they wanted was bound to be critical. I kept trying to log in from 9am, eventually got into the queue at place 1700 which got me in to book after 30 mins wait, had to pay more than planned but still got my 5 tickets next to the stage. Ok I got lucky but genuine fans did get through and will be there.

Many genuine fans did NOT get through and will NOT be there unless they pay a fortune.
I should know i’m one of them.
I spent 4 hours on the phone and internet continuous ringing and trying to even get in the waiting room from 9.00 and got nothing as they sold out in 2 and a half hours and then we find sites selling tickets for £100 +
At one time we were at 114 in the waiting room and it reset to 5000 and we did not loose the internet connection.

May 15th, 2013 - 10:41amHi! I’m so sorry for all of you people who could get tickets for this marvellous concert. Hopefully, I could get tickets for me and my wife after 45min in the waiting room. I had planned it before on the website but I’m not sure this really helped. Reading your comments, I realize I’m lucky. As I’m french, I’ll drive from Normandy to London just this concert…(well, the next day, i’ll reach Cardiff to visit Doctor Who Experience…I don’t come this often in UK to avoid it!) So sorry again, I hope you’ll finally get yours by another way…

April 23rd, 2013 - 9:32amIt’s called the stalls. You can get a “promming ticket” there on the day (can’t book it in advance) for a fiver. 🙂 Maybe you can still get advance places in the stalls, but they won’t be a fiver.

What does “Promming on the day for £5” mean?
Also when do tickets go on sale as I can’t see it on the website?

there are £5 tickets if you just turn up on the day in the hope of there being spare capacity but i seriously wouldn’t for these.
If you can go then do its brilliant.

April 18th, 2013 - 1:50pmwell almost but people inevitably dont turn up for whatever but these tickets for £5 are for those who turn up on spec and you go on the centre in front of the stage and stand so the view may not be good
No guarantees you will get in, i wouldn’t leave these to chance especially this year
