September 4th, 2026 - 11:19am‘Chase variant’ is simply the term used for all rare Funkos, nothing to do with The Chase.

September 4th, 2026 - 12:25pmAhhhh OK. I thought they were saying it’s the classic style as originated in the story The Chase (because that’s what it also happens to be).

September 9th, 2026 - 7:53pmIt’s not just Funko, lots of collectibles use the term ‘chase variant’ – it’s really common in action figure circles for example. Literally just because you have to chase those suckers down.
(Also @Peter this isn’t quite the classic style that originated in The Chase – it’s just the New Series bronze Dalek Funko repainted in classic colours. Fingers crossed for an actual classic version down the line!)
