The War Doctor Rises – an audio drama series set in a new era for the War Doctor (Jonathon Carley) – continues in December with Unknown Soldiers, an epic three-part story in which writer Timothy X Atack presents his imaginative take on the Time War.

The Doctor has taken many companions throughout his lifetimes, but he’s rarely been teamed with a crew as disparate as this. There’s the disgraced Time Lord Pars (Isla Blair, known for Doctor Who: The Kings Demons and movies including Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), the Ogrons named Og-One and Og-Two (Andrew James Spooner), deposed royalty Regent Lunim (Philippe Bosher), the hamster-sized psychopath Bevvakk the Squirrn (Simon Kane), and Ormarelle (Amanda Shodeko), a military android with a very familiar silhouette.

Together, this fractious alliance of renegades must fight their way through the crossfire of the Time War to the centre of a terrifying cataclysm. They’ll find themselves in conflict with the Blind Bomb Maker (Adam Martyn), as well as, of course, the Daleks (Nicholas Briggs) – and not everyone will make it out alive.
