I’m really happy with set namely Bill (who they could have done with a jacket on) and the Doctor (hope they include a waistcoat this time) but personally I think they didn’t need to do Missy again, they could have done Nardole or even a monster like the Zygons or an updated Mondasian Cyberman if they wanted too.

This set is a re-release set. That is, a set made of pre-existing figures with the only changes being low cost, like changing the colour pallet of the figures. Bill is a variant on the Amazon exclusive single release of Bill, which is why she is in the set. The figures you mention would all require new molds and toolings, which would have made the set financially nonviable, hence why none are in the set.

Not necessarily. They used Primevals Abby Maitland body and legs for Bill. They could have added Jenny’s arms and jacket but would have added extra cost for the jacket piece.

Do we think these sets will get new packaging or will they just stick to the old style, which I don’t mind, I do like that style.

gut feeling is new packaging, or logo at least

i dont think the BBC will allow anything through from now on without the new logo (although i’m seeing plenty still to be released with the old logo)

These sets have just been listed on an Australian suppliers website so will be available outside of the UK

I don’t think that the Bill body is the Abby from Primeval body as that figure had movable wrists, the Bill shown doesn’t, looks more like repainted series 2 Rose Tyler arms

      It’s Astrid arms.

    • Dan

      June 13th, 2018 - 7:44pm

It definitely is, the arms may have been changed slightly but at least the torso and legs are the same sculpt.

Wait booboo what happened to underground toys? I saw your comment and looked on their website and no dr who figures? I swear I’ve had sets from them though, like time crash and silver nemesis ?

Character have always made the figures but the UT logo was on many that were distributed in the USA and UK

Underground toys no longer exist, the UK division was sold to Funko and the USA division changed to seven20, all underground toys stock was sold off last year

its yet to become clear if seven20 will have any involvement in figures, their Doctor Who portfolio is non existent at the moment

So it’s doubtful we’ll see more figures apart from these b and m sets

      May 31st, 2018 - 11:00am

there is no confirmed 13th Doctor 5.5″ figure – but i’m sure there will be one, other than the Amazon Bil there is no more news

Seven20 told someone they were doing there own figures but how much truth there is in that we dont know and even if they do UK availability would be in question

I was browsing over on WHONA (I don’t know why and I’m not a member) but it seems they haven’t heard of the Amazon Bill and think that the Bill head was actually created just for the B&M set, does anyone have a way of communicating with them as the Amazon Bill maybe easier for the Americans to get if they just want her.

whona got all their figures via underground toys who longer exist, their new incarnation seven20 are not dealing with character

I have heard the Amazon Bill will be another retailer exclusive in the USA, possibly as a twin pack, i dont know which retailer but walmart, walgreens or hot topic have multiple outlets

it would be very helpful to Amazon if they had a picture up of their Bill with more info as there are some mixed signal at the moment

    • The Outcast

      May 22nd, 2018 - 10:32am

Wait, the Amazon Bill might be a twin pack? Have the rumours that state this given any hints about what the other figure might be?

    • booboo

      May 22nd, 2018 - 10:49am

only in the USA and no, but could be one of the 12th doctors the USA never got

this is old info though so anything could have changed

The Affable Design Company have uploaded pictures of the rendering for the head sculpt of the Bill figure, the likeness is spot on. Can’t wait to get my hands on this set so we can get a Bill variant slightly earlier than the Amazon exclusive.

    Hi guys,
I live in Holland, but i love those Doctor Who sets. Do you think i can order them also later online? And ship them to Holland.

Well, there isn’t anywhere to order these sets as B&M don’t have an online site.

BUT, there definitely will be people who will buy these to sell on Ebay so those of us who don’t live in the UK can get them, e.g. Holland, Australia, etc.

I’ve just noticed that too. It’s strange that in the original preliminary image for this set the Twelfth Doctor variant had the Series 8 short hair head sculpt and boot sculpt. I wish they’d kept the original boot sculpt because they have better proportions, I’m also hoping that the coat on the finished figure has a darker wash like in the preliminary image because that looked more accurate.

What other existing figures could be repainted like Amy, Brig, Bill etc?…
    Martha in black jacket?
    Clockwork droid repaint?

I think they could’ve repainted Oswin/Clara to look like she’s wearing her dress from either The Bells of St John or The Name of The Doctor, and took the belt of her.

      Martha – The Doctor’s Daughter

      Rory – The Doctor’s Wife

11th Doctor – Blue Shirt and Red Bow Tie (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship/Angels Take Manhattan)

10th Doctor – Blue Suit and Red Tie

      Slitheen – Blathereen

      Graske – Groske

Amy Pond – The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood

Rory Williams – The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood

I definitely think I’ll be investing in the Missy/Bill set plus the Amy set and the Doctor and TARDIS set. I am not prepared to miss out this time. Not at all interested in the 4th Doctor set though. Will definitely attempt to make a custom Face the Raven Clara

Really looking forward to this ☺️ . Really glad to see a red velvet Twelfth Doctor …although would’ve been cool to see this as the linen coat variant – could get away with not having the waistcoat and would go well with the Missy variant . Still a great set

Same here, if this is the last Capaldi variant we’re gonna get (at least for a while) I’d love to see that waistcoat added, even if it was painted I’d be happy 🙂

At this point I like to think this is a Hell Bent variant instead when he got his new sonic
