You know when they use ‘twitter’ or ‘Facebook’ to promote their business it’s a problem. A few minutes digging will bring up a lot of dirt on scam companies. Unfortunately they can get away with it in law. They cease trading under one business name, they just open up under another. They’re also too ‘small fry’ for the likes of the BBC or Disney to go after.

I know it sees obvious, but buy from a name ‘name’ retailer like amazon, or Sainsbury’s. If something looks to good to be true, it’s probably a scam.

They have put a lot of work into their website for a simple scam, its more than convincing, full details have been sent in anyway.

I posted on Twitter with the sentencing article saying people shouldn’t order from them as its most likely a scam (quite a few review sites show people never received their orders) and they immediately blocked me…tells you all you need to know really doesn’t it?

it is, which begs the question how have they (both) been allowed to do this, one of the big failings not stamping down immediately on things like this

I will follow it through but i doubt anything will happen

So like most of these things they send you a box of junk, but in this case they don’t bother to send you a box at all?

This is the same outfit that traded under the name ‘That Lovely Store’ and ran a similar promotion with Harry Potter memorabilia. Google them.

is it, looking around twitter people have had stuff from this company and they do respond unlike the one you mention, albeit with terrible communication and problems. if they are “legit” seems like they don’t know what they are doing, they are also registered at companies house.

i would just avoid them, they are using BBC logos and images and twitter (targeting DW sites) to promote so i will pass it on.

In my experience these are seldom worth the money. Not trying to put a downer on anything, but these days its safer to know exactly what it is you are being asked to pay for so that you can make a sound judgement call on whether it is worth it to you.

If you check the 5 ☆ reviews you see that most are from accounts with only one review, looks suspicious.

Booboo this Trust Pilot site has it 74% 1 star reviews: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/nerd-merch.net

Some of the 5 star reviews seem suspicious like “Only downside it’s shipped at the end of the month but that’s understandable to save money on delivery.“ who would say that aha

      January 1st, 2020 - 9:06am

yes i can see that, but even some of the 1 star reviews people have had stuff, they just seem to an incredibly bad and untrustworthy company who don’t send stuff the the vast majority, so i will pass it on.
