Introducing the TARDIS wooden console model as the next Special Edition of our Doctor Who Figurine Collection!

You read it right! In the classic episode “The Masque of Mandragora”, the Fourth Doctor revealed a secondary console room inside the TARDIS. In sharp contrast to the futuristic main control room, the secondary room was elegant and old-fashioned, complete with a Wooden Console!

This Tardis Wooden Console Model: The Fourth Doctor, made from a high-quality polyresin (not wood), meticulously recreates the console designed by award-winning Doctor Who designer Barry Newbery. The model was carefully hand-painted to capture the wooden look of the console room that was used throughout the Fourth Doctor’s 14th season – only to become damp and warped in storage between seasons.

Product Features:

  • The console measure approx 8 cm tall
  • Material: Metallic Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
  • Hand-painted for incredible detail
  • Great gift for Doctor Who fans

The Tardis Console Model comes complete with a magazine detailing this console’s place in history, its functionality and use in the adventures.

This looks really cool I really like it. I wonder if we’ll get a 3rd doctor console, It’d be very nice to have with the collection also maybe a 2nd doctor console from s6 as its a Variant which would also be epic to have

I keep getting that but when I try to order anything and put the code in different ways it says either code wrong or code not available so I think it may be a scam

Hi booboo do you know how many figures eaglemoss are in front off where we actually are atm

    • P7E

      April 11th, 2020 - 9:01pm

Ok maybe Neil could answer how many figures in front that have come off the production line are eaglemoss ahead was asking because with whats happening atm will there have to be a brake in this collection at some point

    • Gareth Pugh

      April 12th, 2020 - 7:18pm

Hi P7E. I believe they are planing to space things out a bit to buy a little time and avoid having to have a break. Shop copies of the Nimon Issue (172) had a letter inside explaining the rate of publication would be going down to every three weeks for a bit because of the situation at the moment. Meanwhile subscribers got an e-mail saying that their packages would be about two weeks later than they would normally be due, for 172/173 and 174/175. Having said that, many people’s delivery of 172/173 still arrives pretty much on time (including mine).

    • P7E

      April 12th, 2020 - 7:58pm

Thanks Gareth that’s very helpful much appreciated stay safe

      April 17th, 2020 - 7:41pm

Not all subscribers got an email. Today was the first I heard of the new scheduling. The comms are very hit and miss. It did get my 172/173 about a week ago so all good so far.

    April 8th, 2020 - 10:58am

To Neil. I wonder if you could help me? I’ve read in previous contributions that the Kandyman is never going to be made? Could you let me know why please?

    • booboo

      April 8th, 2020 - 11:07am

its not just Eaglemoss, no BBC licensed Doctor Who franchise can do it (ie Harrops, Character etc etc) because the BBC will never approve it because of past history.

    • Exterminator

      April 8th, 2020 - 11:47am

Taken from the TARDIS WIKI page:

-After part two of The Happiness Patrol aired, HB Stokes, CEO and chairman of Bassett’s, wrote to complain of the resemblance of the Kandyman to their mascot Bertie Bassett. An internal investigation by the BBC determined that the resemblance was coincidental and no copyright infringement had been committed. However, Stokes was assured the character would not be appearing in the series again.-

So that probably includes any merchandise.

    • Stephen

      April 9th, 2020 - 12:04pm

Makes no sense to me, Harlequin Miniatures did Kandyman. I bet if they actually explored the legalities it would be fine

    • booboo

      April 9th, 2020 - 12:53pm

Things were different back then, BBC have to approve everything now and all franchises have been told its a no go on the Kandyman and its been said numerous times.

Why would anyone risk potentially huge, even exploratory legal bills for just one figure.

    • The Ergon

      April 9th, 2020 - 5:07pm

You,ll just have to make do with an underground dweller, One of the happiness patrol or Helen A and Fifi if Eaglemoss would be interested in making any of these.A sub is better than nothing to represent this story.

    • John

      April 11th, 2020 - 12:26am

It’s not just Kandyman, they never make the Abzorbaloff either.

    • booboo

      April 11th, 2020 - 9:32am

although warlord has done the Abzorbaloff , Petar Kay wanted nothing to do with this for some time maybe he has changed his mind, different situation to the Kandyman though

    • Will Brooks

      April 17th, 2020 - 7:44pm

When I did a Happiness Patrol themed cover for the comics, we were advised to stay way from using the Kandyman on there, so I just used the swirly eyes and avoided anything potentially copyright-infringing. So it’s definitely a touchy subject.

  • James Johnson

    April 3rd, 2020 - 5:05am

Considering the size of the Secondary Console I was wondering what the price is going to be?

    • dazzleshell

      April 3rd, 2020 - 9:15am

It might have the stand and the bars too. So £19.99 as usual if that is the case.

  • Jordan9364

    March 31st, 2020 - 5:46pm

12th Doctor’s console is up on the Eaglemoss site. But still pictured without the monitors.. and more noticeably, without the plastic column forming the time rotor…

    • dazzleshell

      March 31st, 2020 - 8:03pm

Just on ‘Join Waitlist’ at mo though… Pre-order soon.

    • booboo

      March 31st, 2020 - 9:48pm

this “join the wait list” annoys me, people need to just be able to re-order it and move on, this method gives people the chance to “hesitate” which is not a good approach.

    • Zygon_invader

      March 31st, 2020 - 10:37pm

I never pre order I always wait until add to basket I’m not having my money sit in eaglemoss bank account for week’s when it could be sitting in mine

    • Jordan Scott

      March 31st, 2020 - 11:51pm

I agree boohoo, if they went up for pre-order straight away I’d probably have done so already. Missed out on the 8th Doctor Set through that

    • Zygon_invader

      April 1st, 2020 - 3:04am

Jordan I missed out on the dalek battle pod first time around you just need to be patient the 8th dr set will be available again

      April 4th, 2020 - 12:37am

      Hi Jordan9364,
It says on the description below the image that it “comes with a removable casing of clear plastic” which surely refers to the casing around the column.

    • Jordan9364

      April 9th, 2020 - 6:21pm

Ah didn’t notice that, must be then

  • dazzleshell

    March 31st, 2020 - 1:49pm

    Me again.

Neil. Although we don’t know how many consoles you have planned can we eventually get a Binder for the magazines like we did for the Rare Daleks.

And while I’m filling up lockdown time by sorting my figurine collection I would just like to say thanks to everybody at eaglemoss, sales, despatch drivers, designers, modellers, painters and especially Neil. I’m sure that’s not everyone in the long chain but we all owe them a big loud cheer of congratulations for continuing to give us such a magnificent collection of doctor who memorabilia that will be talked about for years to come. I wish all of you, manufacturers and collectors alike, to stay in the best of health through this current crisis.

  • The completionist

    March 29th, 2020 - 6:10pm

Hi all. Bit off the subject of consoles but I’ve noticed something odd about the back of issue 169 ( Tzim-sha ). All other issues give a run down of what’s in the next upcoming issue with the next sequence number. 169 does do that but seems to have the number again as 169. Quite clearly the picture of Stor’s magazine is numbered 170. Was this error picked up and corrected or has it slipped through the net? I ask because as my name on this site implies I would be interested in getting an example with the corrected version of the magazine.

    • Neil

      March 30th, 2020 - 5:10pm

That’s my fault. Don’t tell anyone.

    Loved that room

  • Dalek z

    March 27th, 2020 - 9:01pm

It could be nice, this console hasn’t got much to it on it’s own however without the rest of the room. I would love a Rani console from “Mark of the Rani” the one with the spinning discs/hoops in place of the rotor!

    • Anonymous

      March 28th, 2020 - 12:45am

Err, doctor who magazine 14th season console room diorama…

    • Neil

      March 30th, 2020 - 5:11pm

I was a bit wary of including this console but it’s really weirdly nice. Like I wasn’t sure about the black-and-white versions of the figurines, but they’re great.

    • Anonymous

      March 30th, 2020 - 7:52pm

I like this console design so no complaints here Neil

    YES, YES, YES!!!

  • The Ergon

    March 27th, 2020 - 8:07pm

I,d reallly like Open Tardis’ as well with console reveals and various others including Bad Wolf, Happiness patrol, Hell bent etc if at all possible. Its been mentioned a few times on here but nothing like a reminder.

    • Anonymous

      March 27th, 2020 - 8:18pm

Do you mean exteriors? I’d love to see all of them as there’s something I love about each, but the 2 I want the most are the 1966 and 2018 exteriors

    • The Ergon

      March 27th, 2020 - 8:44pm

Too many to mention but yes two great ones there.

  • Jordan9364

    March 27th, 2020 - 7:47pm

Be interesting if this has the barriers around it or just the tiny center piece. As that would be smaller than a standard figurine, wouldn’t feel right for £20

  • dazzleshell

    March 27th, 2020 - 6:03pm

    Yay. More consoles.

I just wish they had offered a subscription for these just to reduce the postage costs.

    • Neil

      March 30th, 2020 - 5:13pm

      So would we!

We didn’t know – although we had a good inkling – that they would be quite the smash they’ve been. These models are so expensive to do that, sensibly, it had to be a case of “wait and see” with the first console.

    • Neil Corry

      March 30th, 2020 - 5:35pm

Apologies if this comes up twice. Something weird happened when I posted.

When we did the first console, we hoped they would do well, but we were unsure how well they would do. They’re really expensive to make and take so much time to prepare.

We would have loved to have been able to offer subscriptions too, but the sensible path had to be to wait and see how the first console sold.

    • dazzleshell

      March 30th, 2020 - 10:23pm

      Thanks for the reply Neil.

I love them and can’t wait for the rest.

I like others would happily buy all the Tardis exteriors if a collection existed of that too. Not just Police Box variants but others that could be done.

    • Basil Funkenstein

      March 30th, 2020 - 11:33pm

I second both of those points Neil. As you are undoubtedly aware of by now I adore this collection and I’m incredibly fond of it. I would absolutely appreciate more consoles and a line of the different T.A.R.D.I.S exteriors as I’m sure a lot of other collectors would as well. Keep up the great work, I hope we can celebrate this collection and continue for as long as possible.
