From the 1983 episode, The Five Doctors, this set includes a detailed figure of the (Richard Hurndall) First Doctor together with the Gallifrey Death Zone Dalek. Setting the scene, the Fifth Doctor is found relaxing with his companions at the Eye of Orion but starts to fade from reality as his former incarnations are pulled from their Time streams.
The Fourth Doctor is trapped and the First, Second and Third Doctors are drawn to the Death Zone. The storyline sees them face some of their deadliest foes, including a lone Dalek. Behind the scenes, the original Dalek prop received some significant visual modifications including large grey disc-style dome lights. Further modifications include a ‘lifted’ neck bin and a new grey and black paint scheme.
These new sets will be available in coming weeks at local B&M Stores and with and SRP of £34.99 for the TARDIS sets and £24.99 for the Dalek Sets. (prices may differ in store)

August 17th, 2023 - 12:08amI was hoping at least 6 new sets than just 3! This is the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who for Whovians sake!

August 16th, 2023 - 9:45pmWhen watching the video, notice the Dalek ship from Remembrance of The Daleks is this also coming out at some point?? As it looks pretty cool (or just for show?

August 16th, 2023 - 9:31pmI love the new packaging colour scheme, but it really hides the product doesn’t it? Maybe a bad angle but you can hardly see Hurndall!
Still, I will be buying

August 16th, 2023 - 9:26pmI’ve waited a long time for The Five Doctors Dalek variant and it’s finally here! I got the Eaglemoss figurine some years ago because it was the only representation of that Dalek variant to my knowledge that was ever released in figure form.

August 16th, 2023 - 9:20pmDoes anyone have the B&M codes for the new sets please. Thanks.

August 16th, 2023 - 7:43pmNot sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but surely the HotD sets should be –
13. Five Doctors
14. Resurrection
15. Revelation
16. Remembrance
All other sets have followed a chronologic/numerical order…
Who is who?
August 16th, 2023 - 10:18pmNo Resurrection set as posted by Al on GB

August 17th, 2023 - 7:49amNot a member so unlikely to see his response. Thanks anyway.
Shame to miss one out. I did expect them to complete HotD this year.
Always 2024

August 17th, 2023 - 9:49amWe’ve already had the Imperial Dalek, I’m wondering if we might get another Supreme or Emperor (a no reveal Emperor variant maybe); the Renegade grey Dalek did seem to have a new paint job? Re a Resurrection set, I assumed Al did want to simultaneously release two sets featuring grey Daleks?

August 16th, 2023 - 4:19pmLove the Richard Hurndall First Doctor, definitely the best figure of the wave. Shame no three packs though but I’m guessing that’s down to inflation and material costs etc. Maybe they’re holding back with Resurrection so next years are not all new series Daleks? Loving the new 60th packaging.

August 16th, 2023 - 4:41pmI think there are 3 packs, one for The Deadly assassin is rumoured, can’t remember any more.

August 16th, 2023 - 4:06pmLove the Five Doctors Dalek, but a missed opportunity to include the sensational mutant reveal from that episode, would have proved too expensive I guess… Likewise a pity the purple/pink ‘glass’ Dalek wasn’t part of the Revelation set! And while I do like the overall package design, I do feel sorry for anyone who’s collected all the History sets so far to have to stomach a sudden change to the new Diamond Logo, the Blu Rays have I believe a policy to retain the Whittaker one, perhaps the same freedom isn’t extended to other manufacturers though…
HS
August 16th, 2023 - 4:21pmI’ve collected them all so far. Have no issue with it.
Dalek Eye Stalk
August 16th, 2023 - 3:46pmI’m only intend to buy this Hurndall/Dalek set. Probably on eBay as per usual.

August 16th, 2023 - 3:38pmOn the review video, you see the remembrance of the Daleks imperial shuttle. Could that be a future character online exclusive?
daz
August 16th, 2023 - 3:47pmI hope so. I definitely want it.
HS
August 16th, 2023 - 4:22pmI doubt B&M would ever fund something like that.
bryan
August 16th, 2023 - 4:56pmHI HS. Due to the pod nature of the Design of the Dalek shuttle , a single pod, with 3 version. Aerial plus one with door hinges , plus simple pod.
Maybe with a clip or something so they can be put together to make a space shuttle. CO get thier tooling money back from the panels, plus single pod packs don’t break the bank in one go, and space issue both shipping, store shelf space, and home shelf space.
How much would you pay for a single pod
£9.99 for simple pod
£14.99 for hinged/hatched. And Aerial versions. I’m sure I’d pay more even. Sure it would sell.
Maybe a website exclusive
HS
August 17th, 2023 - 9:46amIt’s not me you have to convince, It’s CO xD
And I don’t think they’d ever go for it at the moment.
Lewis Frisby
August 16th, 2023 - 3:35pmOn the reveal video there is the remembrance of the Daleks imperial shuttle. Could that be a future character online exclusive?
HS
August 16th, 2023 - 4:23pmdoubtful, I’m afraid.
Martino
August 17th, 2023 - 9:53amPossibly might see it if Sixteen12 got a Doctor Who licence … though you have to wonder why it was being shown off, with four Remembrance Daleks?
booboo
August 17th, 2023 - 10:03amits a custom apparently probably used as a “desk filler” and they might sell it eventually.
Problem is now half the fan base are expecting it as the next CO exclusive.

August 16th, 2023 - 3:20pmHurndall looks great, no issues there, glad to see that his figure will FINALLY be released after all these years. Would’ve been nice if they included a cane from the story, but oh well.
Death Zone Dalek is a new variant that I’ve always wanted, so happy that CO have decided to finally make this. The new dome lights look excellent, just like the prop. Extra neck bin under the rings looks great too.
My two issues with this figure is the eyestalk is incorrect, using the 70’s five ringed eyestalk, when the prop actually had four rings. They could’ve easily have reused the moulds from the ‘Destiny of the Daleks’ set last Autumn. Also, the front oval is missing on the figure. It’s a bit hard to make out in some shots in ‘The Five Doctors’, but if you look closely when the lighting hits the front, you can defiantly make out an oval shape, so it’s a shame they haven’t included it here, hopefully that can be fix in later revisions in the future.
All in all, a great set, I’ll look forward to getting this, although I don’t think this should’ve been classified as a ‘History of the Daleks’ set when there’s only one Dalek and one non dalek figure. CO and B&M have released non HOTD sets that have included dalek figures before, like the Coal Hill School set and Creation of the Daleks set. Could they not have just done the same here? I’m worried that this means we’ll miss out on a Resurrection of the Daleks set in future since this wave have skipped straight to ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ as HOTD #14.
Erato
August 16th, 2023 - 4:55pmI hear ya too… So frustrating! It’s a budget range and I get that, but those tiny inaccuracies could so easily be avoided without having to create anything new with extra cost. The Resurrection eyestalks would have been perfect.
I’m not impressed by the Sixth Doctor TARDIS in all honesty; one could argue that the Caves of Androzani TARDIS is more accurate to the Sixth Doctor because it has all the mud and dirt up the front of it like how appears in the Twin Dilemma publicity photos.

August 16th, 2023 - 3:11pmIf Destiny was History of the Daleks set #12 and this is History of the Daleks set #13 with Revelation being History of the Daleks #14, where will Resurrection go?
Mark Belsom
August 16th, 2023 - 5:35pmThe Five Doctors set is History set 13.
prototype dalek
August 17th, 2023 - 9:26amThat’s my point, what about the Resurrection of the Daleks set?
booboo
August 17th, 2023 - 9:36amSomeone from Character has said on a closed forum there may not be one, they may go back to it in the future but unlikely.
Problem here is that fandom is diluted over so many groups and platforms now and does not reside in just one place.
prototype dalek
August 17th, 2023 - 2:44pmWould certainly seem an unusual choice to skip one episode out entirely, especially where there is money to be made. Unless CO plan to do something with it themselves.
True, it’s here there and everywhere makes things a lot more difficult.
Count Davros
August 16th, 2023 - 2:57pmIs it just me, or is there a touch of ‘Peter Cushing’ about that face?

August 16th, 2023 - 3:58pmIt’s just you 🙂

August 16th, 2023 - 4:58pmYeah, it usually is!
Time Is Running Out:
August 16th, 2023 - 2:57pmSo three sets? I thought it’d be more than that? I hope we’ll get more.
It’s great that we have another 1st Doctor figure and Death Zone Dalek.
It’s also nice we have the other sets too. Sixth Doctor and TARDIS looks great!

August 16th, 2023 - 3:04pmmore to come later

August 16th, 2023 - 2:42pmWow, the likeness is very good , better than Hurndal did Hartnell 🙂
Odd this is a History of the Daleks set,and not a 5 Doctors set.
Very nice. It’s an expensive hunt for Xmas pressies.

August 16th, 2023 - 2:14pmI LOVE this Dalek, the red lights have always made it so distinct!
Not sure how I feel about the new packaging though. I’m surprised, but I think I actually prefer the Chibnall era B&M packaging (Not that it matters.).
Sime
August 16th, 2023 - 2:14pmDefinitely hope to get this one so that I can then have three actor variations of the 1st Doctor.

August 16th, 2023 - 2:10pmNice packaging!

August 16th, 2023 - 2:09pmWow. Love the new style packaging! Still sad there’s no background diorama though.
Count Davros
August 16th, 2023 - 2:09pmI liked David Bradly in An Adventure in Tine and Space, but wasn’t keen on his other outings as the First Doctor (great actor though he is), but I always loved Richard Hurndall’s portrayal. So pleased that we’re getting this figure.

August 16th, 2023 - 2:09pmLove the new packaging! Hoping I get the chance to get these new sets
