Big Finish The Seventh Doctor Adventures Fixers

Available to order from www.bigfinish.com

In a fix with the Seventh Doctor and Ray

Sylvester McCoy and Sara Griffiths star in The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Fixers, a box set of full-cast audio drama, due for release July 2026.

The Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) has a new travelling companion – Ray (Sara Griffiths), the mechanic he first met during a dangerous encounter at a Welsh holiday camp (in 1987 Doctor Who TV story Delta and the Bannermen).

Listeners of July 2025’s audio box set Past Forward know how Ray reunited with the Doctor and joined the TARDIS. Now, it’s time for Ray to find out what awaits her across time and space.

In the next Seventh Doctor Adventures box set, Ray will help the Doctor deal with the possessions of a late friend, before the time travelling duo encounter mutated seals on the Norfolk coast and visit a high-stakes intergalactic race.

Doctor Who – The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Fixers is available to pre-order now for just £19.99 (download to own) or £24.99 (download to own + collector’s edition 3-disc CD box set). Please note: the collector’s edition CD box set is strictly limited to 1,500 copies and will not be re-pressed.

The three stories in this box set are:

The Executor by Chris Chapman

In a muddy field stands an old stone dovecot. Only it’s a TARDIS – with a recently deceased owner. The Doctor is named Executor of the Last Will and Testament of an old friend – Pegroninagall, ‘Peg’.

He has a monumental task: clearing her TARDIS of keepsakes and mementos. But this Ship may also contain whatever killed Peg…

Oil and Water by James McDermott

Visiting the Norfolk coast, the Doctor and Ray discover something very wrong with Blakeney’s seals: they’re bloated, mutated, and killing people!

With grieving boater Anne, they investigate the cause… Is there something in the water? What does it want with the sea life? And what are its plans for humanity?

Much Ado About Racing by Fio Trethewey

When the TARDIS arrives at the start of the Intergalactic Championship Rally, the Doctor and Ray are caught between two rival racers. And for Ray, long-buried feelings resurface.

Something is at work here: something feeding on heartache and regret. And love among the race-crafts isn’t all that’s at stake…

The first episode, The Executor, guest stars the much-loved Celia Imrie (recently seen in Celebrity Traitors and known to Doctor Who fans for TV episode The Bells of Saint John) as the recently deceased Time Lord Peg.

The box set’s cast also includes Sion Tudor Owen (Highlander), Annie Wallace (Hollyoaks) and Poppy Miller (House of Anubis), as well as Anne Odeke, Marc Silk and Rhîan Crowley-McLean.

Producer Emma Haigh said: “I’m so excited we’ve now got a set of stories with just Ray and the Seventh Doctor. Ray arrived back in the world of the Seventh as we said goodbye to Harry and Naomi and now we can find out a bit more about her life since we last met her. It’s been a pleasure to bring Sara Griffiths into the Big Finish family, and these three stories have been a lot of fun to work on.”

Big Finish listeners can save money by purchasing Fixers in a bundle with 2026’s second Seventh Doctor Adventures box set (Title TBC), due for release in November 2026, for just £38 (download to own) or £47 (download to own + collector’s edition CD box set).

Alternatively, listeners can buy this series as part of a bundle of all 15 Classic Doctor Who box sets released in 2026 for just £285 (download to own).
