Available to order shortly from www.sanity.com.au

The Dalek Invasion of Earth Collector Set features the Daleks as seen in the second serial of the second season, The Dalek Invasion of Earth from 1964.

The British public had seen the Daleks destroyed forever the previous year and in fact several of the props were auctioned off, but overwhelming demand and popularity meant the Daleks had to return, and this time they came to Earth. These revised Dalek were taller and more imposing with deep bases and revised colour schemes.

These 5 inch figures represent a silver eyed ‘Drone’ Dalek and the black ‘Saucer Command’ Dalek featured in the 12 part serial Comes beautifully presented in classic Doctor Who style packaging with an insert featuring the original Dalek Saucer.

no it was the only one they didn’t do, we wont be buying this set and with full review samples now being allocated to just 2 or 3 people we won’t have our own images either

the older sets are £5, but one or two stores mixed in the new sets with the old ones and because that shelf sticker said £5 they got them reduced

Isn’t it the Black Supreme Dalek? I thought the Saucer Commander was the one with black and silver.

they’re one in the same the one with black and silver was just an unfinished version of the all black saucer commander

In the story it’s simply referred to as the Black Dalek. The title of saucer commander is not mentioned in the story.

Also, the same prop was used for both Daleks, but according to the website Dalek6388, it is unknown wether it was a conscious design choice.

Cool! I’m very excited for these daleks to come out around my birthday. And I’m hoping if anything to get the dalek invasion of earth daleks. And of course the dead planet daleks. I really need them in my collection because I don’t have a lot of classic daleks at the moment.

Booboo, i enjoyed reading the reactions with regard to the new dalek. Did you remove because it had no relevance to the sets, which is understandable. I don,t comment on facebook sites and only put the comments here as it was sort of dalek related

its effectually spoilers, we have always avoided this in the merch section, and some complained because they don’t want to know anything about upcoming episodes.

i thought it was widely known about for discussion, it was just one picture but i apologise to those who didn,t or wanted to know.

I think these are are re releases. The other set is too with the exception that 1 dalek has a different size eye. That will save me a few bob.

I agree I think there will be plenty to go around and in Liskeard B&M they still have all the sets in and the annoying thing is they have been reduced! I’m personally going to wait this time will save so much travelling around and a lot of stress.

    • booboo

      June 17th, 2020 - 10:46am

the 3 figure sets are £8 and i think the Dalek/Tardis sets are £5, apparently they scan at the till the wrong price though

I’m still trying to get hold of some of the last releases! Very little stock arrived at my nearest B&M (which is, admittedly, not a very big store).

    • booboo

      June 17th, 2020 - 11:36am

yes i have always found it about odd that they reduce them when people would pay full price in the stores that never had them

Tesco used to do this as well

    • B&M price checker

      June 20th, 2020 - 8:12am

Been to B&M yes ALL 3 packs are now £8 but theres no way the recent TARDIS and DALEK sets are £5. They scan on the app at full price ( £19.99 ) and go thru the till at that as well. More likely they will soon drop to £12.99 once the new stock arrives (like the 2019 DALEK sets did and the 4th Regenerated TARDIS when the 2020 sets appeared)

    • booboo

      June 20th, 2020 - 8:41am

they are £5 in some stores i have seen the shelf stickers but they scan at £19.99, if the shelf has one tell the staff and you will get them for £5

this has happened before with some of these sets

      June 20th, 2020 - 12:47pm

It is the original 2019 Doctor & Dalek sets that are down to £5? If you can still find any in stores that is. The revised 2020 sets are still £19.99 in my experience. £19.99 on the shelf stickers and £19.99 at the till too. I checked yesterday.

      June 20th, 2020 - 1:44pm

are there any left? it could be, i have seen pics with the £5 price in front of the new ones, they are so similar to the untrained eye so maybe they got all mixed together.

There is one on GB which is def the newer War Doctor Set and (the old one) side by side

      June 28th, 2020 - 7:48am

yes its IS only the older 2019 DALEK & DR sets that are £4.99. (I scanned one I have here at home into the B&M app) However good luck in finding any on the shelves this late in the day.

      June 28th, 2020 - 11:51pm

I managed to find the original release of the Third Doctor & TARDIS Set in my local B&M the other day and that scanned through at the till for £5, i couldn’t believe it aha

such vibrant colours. About time we got a reissue of these Daleks, they’re my favourite classic Daleks.

  • Azaan

    June 16th, 2020 - 9:19pm

how would we get them in lockdown

    • booboo

      June 16th, 2020 - 9:25pm

There is no lockdown now as far as shops go, all retail stores are allowed to open now (most B&M’s have never shut anyway because they sell baked beans and soap etc ).

Its down to individuals to asses their own “Risk”. Mine is that i would rather go without this time for a while if needs be, all of last years sets are available now at lowish prices anyway.

Just stay safe. If you are high risk or nervous about even going out I’m on you side.
