yes the winners being drawn today, so booboo does that mean you’ll know by being rung by them or emailed or both or just rung by them.

The winner is announced while I’m on holiday. If I win (which I doubt I will) will it matter if I don’t reply straight away?

my 6 year old bro is collecting these 1 a day after school for being a good boy, He has found an silurian alaya but we havent got the paper that came with it as explained his 6 it got thrown away with no idea what is was. would this affect the selling of the product???

    • Posted by: booboo July 31st, 2011

I suspect many will have thrown away the packet with the certificate inside as they didnt know about the super rare’s, unfortunately the value is bound to be effected without the certificate i would have thought

I picked up three of these (one per household – my home, relative’s, friend’s) when I went to Toys’R'Us the other day in the faint hope that they might have some new merchandise  – they only had the sonic set  .
    oh well. Keep trying.

I’m really over ‘UK Only’ competitions, I hate any comp that is area restricted.
Anyway the one on the character building website wasn’t, I know cause I won and I’m in Australia, so whats their excuse now?

    • Posted by: Anonymous July 24th, 2011

But how could someone in Australia pick up a leaflet that is only in the UK?

    • Posted by: BOOBOO JR July 25th, 2011

Liason Ice is talking about the competition on the CB Website, not the Toys ‘R’ Us one.

Gah! Would love to enter but my nearest store is 17 miles away

    • Posted by: booboo July 19th, 2011

same hear, i dont think we will be able to enter

    • Posted by: Mels July 20th, 2011

My closest store is… wait, how far is the UK from Australia?

Shame, I’d really love these. They are popping up on eVilbay *cough* eBay fairly regularly now, but I’m not prepared to pay that price (not when we’re spolied with 1/6 statues and sonic replicas, I’d rather save for those!)

Still someone will be very lucky to win these!

(And CO will be getting a lot more… ‘incidental’… advertising from this).

    • Posted by: IAMTHEDOCTOR11 July 20th, 2011

My nearest Toys R Us is 1 hour away.

I don’t care if there’s super rares but i don’t think they should be only 100 or only 500. I think it should be 1 in 100 bags or 1 in every 500 bags. :?:

    • Posted by: Mels July 20th, 2011

Most people feel the same way. Unless you’re lucky enough to win a comp. like this, or to fork out £900+ on eBay for a set, you can’t possibly collect them all  .

The main reason for these super-rares is marketing and brand recognition (people seek after them, talk about them online, now there are competitions etc). Criticising a toy company for advertising is like criticising a butterfly for flying, but when it hurts consumers (the products are unobtainable/most can’t get a complete set) then it does go a bit far.

    • Posted by: Twelth Cyber Legion July 20th, 2011

I agree these arent super rares there imposible!!!

    • Posted by: Bunkbeds Are Cool July 20th, 2011

I don’t care about collectin the SR’s. I only like 2 of them anyway. I’m not that lucky to find SR stuff or win comps.  :???: :?:

£200 for a Raggedy Doctor – its what happens when things are limited

    • Posted by: luke kelly July 19th, 2011

i can understand that and can accept that but these are aimed at kids however adults do collect them as well but how many kids or their parents on that note are going to pay £200 for a figure that once in a blue moon you can get for £2 in the shops???????????

my mum went mad at me cos i bought the aged and ancient doctors set for just under £20 brand new on ebay so i aint going to get very far

    • Posted by: booboo July 19th, 2011

It no different to monster invasion where the infinite card fetches £80+ just for a card, it was bound to happen

    • Posted by: luke kelly July 19th, 2011

i can see your pointand actually that card is worth £150,000 if you work it out but that is less, my mum would actually let me pay that but although the micro figures are theoretically worth over £100,000 as well but she wont let me get those

      say what……..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mothers ay who would have em?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!????!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!!!??

  16. Posted by: BOOBOO JR July 19th, 2011 Reply

Another chance to win these, I must get to Toys ‘R’ Us, soon, I’ll have to make my Mum take me! I REALLY WANT TO WIN!!!

Of course, I’ve just drastically lowered my chances of winning by letting you know.

    • Posted by: BOOBOO JR July 19th, 2011

Seeing as you have already entered, can you tell me if this is just a fill in your details competition or if it is one where there is a bit more to it? Thanks.

    • Posted by: Andrew July 19th, 2011

You just need to give your details.

    • Posted by: BOOBOO JR July 19th, 2011

Ok, and now a picture of the leaflet has been put up, I know what to lookk for. And as for your chances of winning the competition, you should have kept it secret!

    • Posted by: Boodleoo July 19th, 2011

Yeah but we should give him a big cheer for telling us and being a gentleman

    • Posted by: BOOBOO JR July 19th, 2011
