Regeneration Stories – Which Are Your 3 Favourite ?

What Are Your 3 Most Favourite Regeneration Stories?

With all the talk of regenerations, past Doctors and DVD sets as the 50th anniversary draws near we ask which are your favourite regeneration stories.

Doctor Who Regenerations box set

With thanks to BBC Worldwide…

Doctor Who Regeneration

The Doctor Who Regeneration set is a beautifully packaged, limited edition coffee table book-styled collectors’ album including six DVDs and over 10 hours of Doctor Who footage.

The collection features each Doctor’s iconic regeneration episode; from the first Doctor played by William Hartnell, exhausted after battling the Cybermen to Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor suffering from radiation that had been unleashed by the Great One (a giant spider); and from the spectacular transformation of the Ninth Doctor to David Tennant’s emotional farewell as the Tenth.

The set is adorned with superb photography from across the era and features detailed and informative accounts of each regeneration. And if that wasn’t enough, new to DVD is The Tenth Planet featuring the Doctor’s first regeneration – beautifully restored with the missing fourth episode now brought to life with stunning animation.

Utilising the original soundtrack, off-screen photographs and a short surviving sequence of the Doctor’s regeneration the episode has been now reconstructed in animated form, incorporating the restored version of the surviving sequence.

go down the posts until you find where we are talking about the complete David Tennant years box set, that is the same style as this, and there is a link to a review. If you watch it, it will give you an idea of what this is.

I commented down further and you can read about a quarter (not even) of what I think is wrong with it.

There is a potential downfall to this set, and that is the cardboard sleeves that house the disks, might be VERY tight and could rip the pages apart or scratch the disks badly. I am saying this because this is the same style box set of doctor who the complete David Tennant years box set, and 95% of reviews complain about this problem. Here is the reviews from amazon (just scroll down to the bottom and read them): http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-David-Tennant-Years/dp/B005FQ1OQ8

And here is a couple of YouTube reviews:

how do you know its the same style completely ? does it just look it i mean this isn’t like specs or anything it’s not a new piece of hardware but from looks you can’t completely tell whether its the same.

same three I picked…though not necessarily in that order 😉

How anyone could vote for end of time in which the doctor drops from a space ship smashes through plate glass onto a solid marble floor and still manages to get up and walk around is beyond me… and then hes overcome by radiation which in a previous episode he’d rather humourously shaken out of his ankle….

haha yeah now that you think about it like that, that is kinda funny. i like it more for bringing back the time lords and effectively being the end of an era.
